If you are looking for a credit card for anything then KOHO is the card for you. You put as much money as you want on the card and I have not had a serious problem. The only bad experience was when I had purchased a product everything went through with 0 problems, but a few times the company that I purchased product from did charge me multiple times, but when I realized what was going on with my KOHO account I contacted KOHO through the app and explained what had happened and canceled the card and the KOHO app started the process of getting my funds back, which I can tell you was successful in returning the funds that were charged to my KOHO account. If you are looking for a you load credit card then KOHO is the card for you.

i disputed a transaction that i did not allow nor have any idea about and koho refuses to renburse me for it when i first complained about it the transaction was still pending and could have had time to cancel the money that was used and give it back to me. plus me not being able to change my email for autodepoist!

I am absolutely appalled by how KOHO handles its customers. Out of nowhere, I received an email stating that my account was permanently closed due to alleged "unauthorized deposits". I immediately reached out to dispute this, as it is a complete misunderstanding and I have done nothing to violate their policies.
Instead of looking into the issue or providing any evidence, their customer support team gave me automated, scripted responses. They repeatedly hid behind their "Cardholder Agreement," refusing to provide a single detail about what triggered this decision "for security reasons." They claim the decision is final and unrevokable.
To make matters worse, this sudden and unfair closure means I am now at risk of losing access to my Canadian Disability Benefit, which I rely on. Even after explaining the severe financial hardship this causes, the support agents didn't care and simply closed the chat session on me. They also claim it takes up to 45 business days just to return my remaining funds.
KOHO has zero transparency, zero accountability, and completely dismissive customer service. If you want a financial institution that actually communicates with you and respects its users, stay far away from KOHO. I am officially escalating this matter to the Ombudsman (OBSI) and looking into legal alternatives. Unacceptable.

I receive a greater interest on most of my money than what my regular bank pays. I wish that the funds on hold for my secured credit building also paid interest. Also I hope the fees for the various plans do not increase any further. I currently pay $24 per month which negates any interest earned.

I absolutely LOVE KOHO. First of all, I want to say that I am not affiliated with KOHO in any way. I am only a customer. I love their Prepaid MasterCard. In your account, your card is tied to the Spending Section of your account, so if you lose your wallet or the card, and someone tries to use your card, your loss is limited. There is a Vault Section where I keep my money which earns high interest. When you purchase items, you get cash back monthly. You also get discounts when you spend money at their partnered businesses which are many. When I travel, their exchange rate is reasonable and the foreign exchange transaction fee is low. There are just so many good things about KOHO. I absolutely endorse it. It is also a great card for someone who wants to build on his credit history. It is simply a great card! LOVE it!!!

7Good day, KOHO has blocked access to my bank account refusing to send me my money in my account and been dealing with support for over 3 days now with no progress or updates on my account. I try to log in and brings me to a page that says I need to email verify@koho or something and noone has messaged me back and the first msg I sent couldn't be delivered. This is stupid holding my funds hostage basically because ive verified my account ive sent in drivers license through to support and still no changes or access to my account or my funds. This is the worse banking experience of my life and I will be gladly telling all my friends and people not to bank with Koho, I will be discussing this with a lawyer and obsi and the better business bureau since they have given me no other option since they cant resolve my issue in a timely manner, and we as humans need access to our money to live everyday.
Update june 29th 2026, still no update and still waiting but they've asked me to send in my drivers again with proof im hold the id, and then asked "if ive never created an account with them in the past how do I have an account" then I sent proof of them verifying my email through my email when I created the account june 22nd. Added funds to my account via emt and then the next day cant access my account and they cant fix it nor will they send my funds to my email via emt even after I said to close the account. I dont recommend banking with this company.

This is helping with rebuilding credit give me options to reserve hotels and other things I need.. the credit rebuild is not costly at all the extra over draft is helpful when needed. Only thing is the rent thing need the split 1 setup. Even though I pay it all with 2 people on lease I have to wait wish is is here faster
