Issue with Gift card return for a purchase
I made an order on 02-09-26 with a gift card and it was cancelled for no reason. I called and they said they will return the Gift card by postal mail within 7 to 14 days. I did nt receive it till 03-02-26. I called again and they said they have initiated a flip only on my second call on 03-02-26 and it will take another 7 to 14 business days. Why would I wait for my gift card for more than a month and I am unable to make another purchase with it. I am unhappy with Kohls purchase/return.

I ordered a T-shirt size XL & 2 pair of earrings. When they finally arrived, the earrings were huge & looked like something a kid would use in crafts. The t shirt was a size medium, not what was ordered. I took all items to the store & did a return for them. I thought that was the end of it. 2 months later I get a letter stating I owe $10 on my kohls card that should have a $0 balance. The person I tried to talk to on the phone about it stayed I must not have returned a pair of the earrings or something. Then she tells me I could qualify to have the charge reversed then in the next breath tells me she won't reverse the charge because I "probably didn't return everything". I told her fine, I'll pay the $10 and she can cancel that card. Then she starts trying to argue with me about unreturned items. WTF? Just take my $20, cancel the card & move on. Nope, she keeps trying to argue with me causing an unneeded escalation. I got pissed, hung up, went online & paid the fee. Then I called back, got someone else to cancel the card & then at the end she is like, we could have credited that charge but you paid it. The person you spoke to earlier said they tried to do that but you hung up. Ummm no that is NOT what actually happened. I will never shop Kohls again. The customer service sucks, the merchandise is over priced, they never send the correct sizes, & the jewelry is ugly.

Kolhs cashiers are very sweet and kind. Only because most are baby boomers and were raised right. The store products are way over charged. If you just compare prices you'll see, that's where that great little card comes in, buy now pay later. When I realized Interest was 30% I realized I don't really need anything I can't pay for. It's a joke, eventually you will be shut down. Good going Capitol one, you ruined convenience for alot of ppl.
Item not delivered- no customer service
They delivered to the wrong address in another state. They know where the item went, but refused to re-send or refund the item. The supervisor refused to speak with me. The agent said if I had used their (Kohls) credit card to purchase the item, they would have helped me. But, because I bought it online and used my own credit card, I have to challenge the charge with my credit card. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Received shoes that were dirty and worn
Received shoes that were scratched, dirt on the bottom and clearly worn. They were so worn the tip of the shoe was worn down. Not the fact that I paid for shipping but shoes are no longer available. I would assume that’s why I received a dirty shoe. The inconvenience of having to travel to return an item after paying shipping, Teresa could only refund shipping AFTER I take the shoe back. Terrible experience and extremely disappointed with the Kohl’s.

I ordered several items online and the whole process was a nightmare. The website kept showing wrong stock levels, my delivery never arrived, and tracking bounced between different states with no updates. When I finally got someone on customer service, they offered no solutions and just kept repeating that I “had to wait.” They refused to refund my shipping or expedite anything. After multiple attempts and zero support, I can honestly say Kohl’s ruined what should’ve been a simple purchase. Don’t waste your time or money — terrible experience from start to finish.

Terrible customer service. I called immediately and canceled an order, and then I received the order. I called back in and they said "there is no record of your call." And so I had to pay shipping both ways.

Kohls is GARBAGE. I have placed five orders online and they have all been canceled. When I call CS NOBODY can tell me why. They give me this garbage about verification which I’ve already done 3x and my order still gets cancelled! Kohls has really gone down hill over the past years and it’s sad to see. I walked into a CHECKOUT DISASTER: 20+ PEOPLE IN LINE, ONLY TWO CHECKERS WORKING. I had a hard deadline to pick up my husband. A customer ahead turned to me and said, “You’re going to wait awhile—been here 20 minutes already.” My response? “THANKS—THAT’S NOT GONNA HAPPEN.” And it didn’t.
I EXPLODED—LOUDLY—ON A MANAGER OR HIGHER-UP standing near the line. Four excuses came flying, but after my outburst, SIX CHECKERS SUDDENLY APPEARED, including the manager. No one else in line said a word. No one left. But the staffing issue was clearly fixable—and wasn’t being addressed until someone raised hell.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE 1% AND CORPORATE CEOS STUFF THEIR POCKETS WHILE STORES RUN ON SKELETON CREWS. Customers are treated like cattle, and frontline workers are left to absorb the fallout.
Now for the one bright spot: I was assigned to BOB, a BOOMER CHECKER WHO WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. Calm, efficient, professional—ONE OF THE BEST I’VE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN RETAIL.
BOB DESERVES A RAISE AND A PROMOTION. He handled the chaos with grace and competence, and Kohl’s is lucky to have him.
FIX YOUR STAFFING, KOHL’S. And protect employees like Bob who actually do the job right.
Worst customer service i've ever seen
I bought 2 of the same thing. Literally, I picked one thing and changed the quantity to 2. I receive my order confirmation via email, and they are sending me 2 different things. How does that even happen? I tried to fix their error, but it's absolutely impossible to modify an order or talk to anyone. They claim to have the best return policy. Except i have to go to the store which is well over an hour away, or i can mail it back and they wont refund shipping.

This company is a mess on the logistics side. They can't tell you where a package is or where it shipped out. I ordered a winter jacket and it never arrived. I was told I would have to wait 30 days for a refund. The jacket never actually existed in inventory but they sold it anyway. Would be a shame if someone tried on a jacket in a store and there was a wad of dookie in the sleeve. They are so full of it I wouldn’t be surprised for a second.

DISGUSTED
I placed two order with Kohls over the last two weeks. The orders come with separate tracking for each item and come at all different times and days. Just placed an order this morning and it reflected pickup at the store and shipping as well. Part of the order was cancelled by their system for some unknown reason. Representatives are not from this country and every answer is unexplainable. I have had enough -- they can keep their rewards, their Kohls cash and run this company right into the ground !!

No earrings next day, so I checked my order. I WAS CHARGED $9 SHIPPING!!!! and four days later I don't have the earrings. Kohls, I spent over $400 this week and will be returning everything and eating your shipping charges.
Kohl's Live Chat gives False Info
I had several gift cards but was not signed into their program I was considering it and went online to chat trying to find out more about it. One of the concerns I had was if I went to the store now and wanted that purchase to be counted could I join after the purchase that day and get credit for that purchase Even told me they had a special program to get those points added. So I went, purchased $70 of merchandise, went home, got online to join, only to be told I would NOT get credit I had cut and copied the entire chat saying how it would be Of course the answer was no. They did tell me I could return everything and then repurchase it. But the coupons expired that day and the store was closing soon. So don't believe it if they tell you something. Another time I found an item listed on their kohls.com site which was reduced. It said available in store. I showed them the ad They hemmed and hawed about it saying it was not for in store, but I held my ground and insisted. They finally gave me the price. I noticed the next day the item was removed from the online listing. I got a birthday offer, $5 off purchase, and not wanting to go through what I went through previously in the store, decided to order online I found an item and ordered it for in store. It took about 2 weeks to get it When I went to pick it up, it was in a very insecure area that anyone could access. Fortunately my item was there and I was able to get it without a problem. But I don't have any desire to shop at Kohls.

made an order (thermal socks) where they were offering a discount - and then a week later they say they could not deliver so they sent it back to seller = they had my right street address but a different city and state = and to me it seems like they would do this so they don't have to make good on the discounts = first the bait discount and then the "if you order in the next hour" discount = I have found this same item on other vendors sites but without the within the hour deal = so I think they do this on purpose get you in the door and then pull the rug out = I talked to an agent and they say they will refund but give it a few days which means they have had my money for one week = what did they do with my money for week? what interest did they make = seems to me if they do this a thousand times to a thousand people that is a lot of interest generated from other peoples money = in future as sad as it is I will just go to Walmart and buy off the rack = here I try to give Kohls a little business and I even had another order ready to go but waited to see how the first one went and I got my answer = you think kohls why would I read trust pilot first = but once again corporate America no longer cares about the customer and the managers all get their bonuses = all your thoughts of a well run company are belong to us.
Horrible customer service by a manager
I shopped and was hoping to use my Kohl's cash for my purchase. When the associate scanned my coupon it came up zero or no value. I expressed that I had not use it yet. A manager walked over, who was extremely rude and said, " you must have or someone in your family did." I responded and stated I have not been in to shop but had returned something. She then abruptly said, " well then it zeroed out, you should know that." I didn't know since I received it in the mail. So I am like O.K. and then right after that exchange while I am still in the middle of my transaction, she proceeds to reprimand the associate for a previous return that had some issues. It was embarrassing to the associate and uncomfortable for me. I worked in retail for over 15 yrs and this would have not unacceptable, but probably a wright up for the manager. I love Kohl's but this is happening more and more and making me less opt to shop there.
