A very satisfied customer…
The website enabled me to do the research I wanted before purchase with just a couple of questions left in my mind concerning which of the two models I was interested in would best suit my needs. These questions were fully explained and answered when I telephoned. I ordered on the telephone and the lady was very helpful, again explaining the process and delivery times clearly.
The tricycle took time to put together once delivered but was not hard to do,
I first rode it in our village hall car park.
It felt very different to the bicycle I had previously used, but diffrent in a good way. I certainly appreciate the stability and brakes. I am still getting used to the combination of power level and gears .
I have done about seventy miles on it now and am very pleased with it.
My usual ride is about seven miles.
Overall, very pleased with everything and confident I have a sturdy, well made machine that should last me for many miles.
Yes, I could have got something cheaper from the Internet but I seriously doubt it would have been anywhere near as good, and from what I've researched, possibly even dangerous and illegal.
Safety, reliability and a good service are important to me, and this company/tricycle certainly satisfies on those points.

My trike was stolen and I was devastated but Jorvik did much to boost my confidence in claiming on the insurance and in choosing a replacement model. I've lost count of the number of times I've contacted them -even sending a long email with loads of questions. Each time I got a patient practical reply and nothing was too much trouble. The young lady who took my order joined in my excitement. Its a firm I have every confidence in and it feels like belonging to an elite family.

Lovely commuting bike with fantastic load carrying capacity
Personally I have never ridden a bike in my life and now, just north of 50, I wanted one. The idea of using a bike to get to work filled me with dread so I was looking at a trike but not the Mary Poppins type. I wanted something that looked good and had the ability to stow in a quite confined space. I then found the Jorvik website.
I sort of weaved in a weekend away with a trip to the showroom in York where James showed me what was the the JMT16 and was delivered as the Vandra x as I needed something I could fold and store in my flat.
I didn't want to write my review immediately as I wanted time to get used to the trike and be honest in what I found difficult, what I enjoyed and how I feel 4 months into my ownership.
First of all slight confusion over my Vat exemption form which delayed delivery by a week or so but Jorvik sorted this with a next day pallet delivery which went smoothly.
I then started using the trike and over time (probably a month or so) developed confidence over it's stability over rough terrain/ potholes etc.
I am now using the trike regularly where I used to take the car. It's load carrying to the supermarket is superb, it's ability to pull with the pedal assist is marvellous and it's compactness to fold almost in half and fit in the lift/ through doors makes it a usable tool for enjoyment and commuting. Even if the lift goes down taking the battery out I'm able to lift the compact 30kg frame up the stairs in short everything I wanted it to be and more.
There are one or two minor gripes. It can crash over potholes as very little suspension play, when folded it will not reverse as the pedals hit the frame and when going from folding to unfolded the cables built into the frame can snag and crimp but nothing that can't be solved with a cable tie or a bit of manoeuvring of the wires.These are very minor gripes which has more to do with where I live and my storage over a problem with the trike.
All in its a little beauty of a bike that I and many of my work colleagues love and it often gets comments from people I go past who haven't seen something like this before.

Brilliant experience
My visit was perfect in every way, I was a bit nervous when I arrived but Sam was brilliant, put me at my ease and talked me through everything. I was very quickly on my chosen trike, getting used to it and having a brilliant time. I had no hesitation at all in purchasing my trike and am now enjoying using it at home. Sam was very patient with me and answered my every question. The whole visit was a wonderful experience 😀

Minor light repair
Jorvik did not recognise that an electric bike was not wired as they thought I was toted to take it to a local bike shop who identified the issue and carried out a repair. This cost me £ 30 more than what should have been a simple diy repair if they had identified the repair needed after seeing photographs of the issue. Not good on a bike costing in excess of £2000

Following our conversation on 4th June 2026, we understand you contacted us to identify the replacement light you needed after the original had been damaged, along with some touch-up paint that wasn't listed on our website. We asked you to send us a photo so we could identify the correct light, which we then advised you to purchase.
At the time, our customer service team would not advise customers to carry out electrical repairs themselves for safety reasons. We sincerely apologise for the misunderstanding—we weren't aware you were looking for repair instructions, as we understood your request was simply to identify the correct replacement part to order.
We're sorry this resulted in you needing to visit a local bike shop and incur additional costs. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as it helps us improve the way we communicate and support our customers in the future.
Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company. We have been left with a trike that does not work and Jorvick have consitantly got it wrong we have had to buy parts that were not needed and they have blamed us for everthing that has gone wrong with the trike. We are waiting on independant reports and will most likely be taking them to court. Also they use AI to send long winded responses almost straight away to emails sent to them, avoid them at all costs
In reply to your reply i can state that we have never been abusive over the phone. We did not get the bike until 2025 so tdhis is pure lies and i would ask that you remove this. We have never done this and have contacted you many times by phone with no issues even though you have not fixed our issues with the trike.

Throughout our correspondence over the past two years, we have responded to every issue you raised and maintained detailed records of every inspection, repair and email. Our team has remained professional, courteous and committed to helping resolve the issues with your trike. While we appreciate your frustration that it is currently not operational, the suggestion that we have "constantly got it wrong" is simply not supported by the evidence.
Unfortunately, due to repeated abusive and unacceptable telephone conversations directed towards members of our office team in 2024, we had to restrict telephone contact and request that communication be made in writing. We have a duty of care to our staff and do not tolerate abusive behaviour.
The first issue investigated was a cut motor cable, confirmed from the photographs provided. This was later acknowledged by your wife, who confirmed that you had accidentally cut the cable yourself, meaning it was not a manufacturing defect. We explained the available repair options, including that a cable repair might not be successful, and you chose to proceed before a replacement motor was arranged when the repair proved unsuccessful.
Your review also repeats the claim that we advised disconnecting the pedal assist system. This is incorrect. Our written correspondence clearly shows we advised disconnecting the throttle limiter for use on private land only. This advice did not involve the pedal assist system and is unrelated to the later damage identified by our technician.
During a subsequent inspection, our technician found the pedal assist magnetic disc had sustained physical damage, with several magnets missing, resulting in damage to the ECU connection. This was assessed as impact or user-related damage rather than a manufacturing fault. Despite this, we supplied a replacement ECU free of charge as a gesture of goodwill, outside our warranty obligations.
The only genuine manufacturing fault identified was the display failure reported later. As we only received the display unit and not the complete trike, we could not determine the cause. Nevertheless, we honoured the warranty and replaced the display at no cost.
We also provided you with the contact details of the Trading Standards Officer we work with because we were confident our actions were appropriate and in accordance with our obligations. We invited you to provide your evidence directly to Trading Standards for an independent assessment. To date, we are not aware that this opportunity has been taken.
In addition, we arranged a mobile technician visit and supplied a complimentary testing box to assist with diagnosing the trike, both as goodwill gestures beyond our warranty responsibilities.
We have also repeatedly asked you to provide evidence that the faults are the result of a manufacturing defect. To date, no such evidence has been provided, nor has any evidence been presented that contradicts our inspections or our technician's findings.
We remain happy to engage through the appropriate channels and will continue to cooperate fully with any independent assessment.

Visited Chester Showroom yesterday, and were welcomed by Jorge who was pleasant, polite and most helpful. Having being a proud owner of a Jorvik trike previously, I'm now looking forward to receive the new trike and so pleased to know it has an added feature of a reverse button!

Vandra Roam
Vandra Roam. I took the tricycle out first with out the battery to give it a proper once-over before handing it to my dad, and I was very impressed with the quality of the parts and the overall appearance. It rides very well as a normal bike, and the gears worked smoothly and look neat, tucked away inside their own unit.
I tested some very tight turns to see if there was any tipping point, and it handled safely and predictably. I even pushed it to extremes by lifting it onto two wheels just to see how it behaved, and it still felt controlled. As expected with any tricycle, you notice the effect of the road camber, but once you get used to the feeling it becomes automatic to keep yourself centred. I also rode with one wheel on the kerb and one on the road, and it still felt stable.
Next I fitted the battery and everything worked perfectly. walk mode or first gear is exactly what we needed- my dad sits on the bike at around 3.7 mph while I walk beside him, and it feels very natural. We crossed playing fields with longer grass and small ruts, and it coped well. He used second gear in the thicker grass for a bit more power. We are very impressed with the brakes and the parking-brake switches. You switch them on, apply the brake and the ratchet design holds it securely even if you accidentally let go. Its a very safe system.
Overall, it can be a nippy bit of kit, but for us it's an exellent mobility unit. The rear bag is a good size too, perfect for carrying supplies.
I also want to thank the team who helped me choose the bike. I orderd it on 11th of May and it was deliverd on the 19th. It was very well packed and easy to assemble-most of it was already built, and it was really just a matter of fitting the stem and a few quick-release parts.

I was very pleased with how I was treated. I wanted to try the tricycle before buying and they kindly sent it to me. We had it for 14 days with a 3 mile distance to use it in.
Unfortunately it was too big and we had no where to keep it. We sent it back within time and got our Money very back quickly.

**Five Stars – A Company That Truly Stands Behind Its Products**
When I first received my Jorvik electric tricycle, I unfortunately experienced an intermittent fault with the power assist. After several conversations with the team, the tricycle was collected and taken back to York for a thorough investigation.
I cannot praise Jorvik enough for the way they handled the situation. The customer service was exceptional throughout. They kept me informed, carried out extensive testing, and returned the tricycle within the week. The whole process was professional, efficient and, most importantly, they were determined to ensure the tricycle was right before returning it to me.
Since getting it back, my confidence has completely returned. As someone with a disability who doesn't drive, this tricycle has given me something I hadn't realised I'd been missing – freedom.
I'm now 'out and about' visiting local cafés, meeting friends and enjoying rides with my husband. Instead of relying on disability aids, I can simply hop on my tricycle and go. It has made such a difference to my independence and my wellbeing.
The funniest comment came from one of my neighbours, who said I looked like **Steve McQueen in *The Great Escape*** as I rode past! Personally, I'd have preferred **Lara Croft**, but I'll take it!
What I hadn't expected was the reaction from other people. Everywhere I go, people smile, wave, stop to ask about the tricycle or simply say hello. It has become a real conversation starter and brings a smile not only to my face but to those I meet along the way.
On the days when I'm feeling a little low, I just take the tricycle out for a ride. There's something incredibly uplifting about being outdoors with the wind in your face, enjoying the countryside and feeling independent again. It genuinely lifts my spirits every single time.
If you're disabled and wondering whether an electric tricycle could make a difference to your life, my advice is simple: go for it. Equally, if you're able-bodied and just fancy a fun, comfortable and stable way to explore, I would recommend one without hesitation.
Thank you to everyone at Jorvik Tricycles for not only resolving my initial problem so professionally but for giving me back a little piece of my independence. You haven't just sold me a tricycle – you've helped me rediscover the joy of getting out and enjoying life again.
