Had a phone appointment today from …

Had a phone appointment today from Barking J.C.
Please don't talk to colleagues sitting next to you while on the phone to a job seeker. The adviser kept on asking me to repeat what I said . It's very distracting and rude !. Also , the job coach started to sound angry because all I could hear was the person next to my coach , who was load . This happened twice.

My experience at the Dunfermline Job…

My experience at the Dunfermline Job Centre has unfortunately been very negative. In particular, one staff member I’ve had to interact with on more than one occasion has come across as openly rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly. Rather than offering support or guidance, her attitude felt hostile and dismissive, leaving me feeling undervalued and unwelcome.

It’s frustrating because people come to the Job Centre often already under pressure, needing assistance and reliable advice. Instead, I felt judged and spoken to as though I was a problem, not a person seeking help. Sadly, this was not a one-off — I’ve dealt with the same staff member previously and the attitude was identical, showing no improvement or courtesy.

The Job Centre should be a place of support and respect, but this experience has been the opposite. A more professional, understanding approach would make a world of difference for those who depend on the service.

Weybridge-unpleasant experience

Weybridge-unpleasant experience. Only ever been in a job centre once (this time) and hope I never have to go again. Only needed to show them bank statements, could easily have been done online or via email. Why did I have to go in? I work and had to take time off, ridiculous! The security guard was very rude and aggressive as well. I only wanted to know if there was a wait as I had a child to pick up and he was really rude and kept staring at me to intimidate. Quite shaken by the experience

Maidenhead staff rude

I will say this whoever shouted and hung the phone up on me, then booked me an appointment even though i am waiting on my doctors fit note as i am disabled and looking for a job closer to home, i hope you can look yourself in the mirror and smile authentically after telling someone who has to have open heart surgery that you do not care for their struggles because this job is just filling your pockets.

The infrastructure of this company as well as many others around the world needs working on, the person who turned up and answered the questions to why they wanted the position is no longer the one speaking to you on your phone booking your commitments.

Anyways to whoever reads this I pray you find peace and prosperity in knowing not everyone has narcissistic tendencies there are plenty of people passionate in helping others.

live laugh love

Redhill job centre in Surrey Amazing manager Sarah and staff

Redhill job centre in Surrey were amazing. The manager Sarah went above and beyond to help us as parents of a severely disabled couple.
Many issues arose in transferring my son and his wife's claim from income Support to Universal Credit. The form was confusing and although we followed the notifications on the journal there were still errors. We were all distraught so my husband and I decided to visit Redhill JC. Right from the moment we entered we were impressed . The place was clean, bright and airy. It run like a well oiled, organised machine. Staff were efficient, courteous, friendly and professional. The security guard was pleasant, the initial lady who welcomes people and books them in when they enter was lovely. So efficient while clearly working to her maximum capacity . We asked to see the manager and waited only about 15 minutes to do. Sarah came out and took us to a desk. I too am disabled due to covid and struggle to get my point across but I like to try. My husband helped. Sarah was patient and understanding, but extremely professional. She instantly identified the issues. Explained to us what had happened and the process. She advised what needed to be done and assisted us while being mindful of data protection. She knew her stuff ( as you would expect but isn't always the case) . She was very open and honest which was reassuring. She arranged to telephone my daughter in law at 2pm the same day which she did and correctly updated the journal.
Job Centre's often get a bad review but our first experience of Redhill Job Centre was nothing but positive. It was apparent staff positively supported each other and cared about the customers they were seeing and helping. Well done to all and thank you !

Pretty decent

I genuinely don't get that much trouble from the job center.

If you speak to them nicely and above all politely, they generally respond decently just like any other human being.
