Second use of a brand new chalk line and it's in 2 pieces.

Bought a hand held planer.When the blade is no longer sharp there is no replacement.Blade wears out quickly.

I purchased a door lock installation kit, after the second door the router bit failed, then four doors later the plastic clamp snapped. told to get in touch with IRWIN
as the guarantee is with them, after a lot of back and forth emails they said I need to return it at my cost for them to examine then they may give a new one if they think it is there materials that's failed. but not return post cost. very pore item and customer service, will not be purchasing from them again.

Avoid. Dishonest and time wasting customer service:
Our vice has a lifetime guarantee and it cracked. I applied online to Irwin uk and then got a reply in French. Then I got an English reply from USA Irwin. They asked us the same questions FOUR times in different emails. Eventually they validated the guarantee claim and said they were dispatching a replacement. Then they cancelled the dispatch & referred us to Irwin uk who put us back through to Irwin USA and then Irwin Philippines. I put in a formal complaint 4 times and they stopped responding. Useless

I recently purchased 2 Irwin 10508167 Quick Change Extension Bit Holder 150mm 1/4in IRW105. One collar fell off after one week and the second approx 3 weeks later. As I was unable to contact the retailer I contacted Erwin customer services direct. They explained that there is no warranty with these products and refused to provide replacements stating that my only option was to keep trying to contact the retailer. There is obviously a manufacturing fault with these for two to fail. I’m massively disappointed with Erwin and will think very carefully about buying or recommending any of their products in the future.

One chisel's handle shattered just after one year and another one on it's way out not very good for high impact split proof chisels! Contacted irwin customer services and had to post the chisel back at my own expense, 2 months of going back and forth in emails and they say it's not covered by warranty.

Purchased Irwin Hanson tap and die combination set.
Some of the taps and dies are the wrong pitch!! I tapped a UNC 7/8 -9 hole and threaded a bar using the 7/8-9 die so they would fit into each other. However it would lock up after 3-4 threads. Upon further inspection the die is cutting around a 9.4 tpi thread 🙄.

Now what really annoys me is when you try to contact the company but cannot find any contact details. No email, no phone number so I’m left to come here and see if I get it sorted.
Not really impressed and this set was not cheap. Im going to park the set to one side as im afraid other pitches will be incorrect.

Tried to find the product manual to adjust Irwin Record bolt cutters, complete waste of time and no chat line, no e-mail and no telephone number for these 19th century dinasours. Their own search tool fails to help when using their own product names and product codes.

Bought the Irwin XMS17 Impact driver bit set to go with by new Bosch 12v impact driver. This is a small lightweight driver, not a big heavy machine.
Very disappointed to find the pozidrive bits shattering with very little use.
I was laying a plywood floor, and had pre-drilled the plywood, so was only driving into softwood joist below. Two bits shattered in the space of 1 hours work. Not very impressed at all. I'm a very experienced DIY user, with over 35 years under my belt, and don't abuse tools, or push them past their limits. Never had a pozidrive bit shatter in all those years.
Always thought Irwin products were decent. This was my first purchase of their products, but will be very reluctant to buy again.

Excellent packaging and the bits work great. Cut quickly and leave nice smooth holes.
