We received a very friendly welcome and…


We received a very friendly welcome and there were lots of goodies waiting for us. That way, we didn't have to look for a shop right away. The house was very spacious and well cared for. All the necessary facilities were available. The house was very nicely located in a very quiet area. We were able to enjoy trips to Turin and Milan with our family, as well as gastronomy and the beautiful wine region. The owner was particularly helpful! Highly recommended!

We take an annual holiday to the Belgium coast each year with our young kids and my father-in-law. We used to book with Interhome, but will never do so again after our experience this past week. In every way they delivered a holiday experience that was substandard, especially considering that we were repeat clients. There are so many other holiday rental agencies … safe yourselves the heartache and book with one that actually delivers what they promise.

When we arrived, the apartment building looked abandoned with broken and boarded up windows in the common staircase area, the elevator that my father in-law needed to be able to comfortably reach our so-called penthouse apartment malfunctioned and trapped him inside for 10 mins. My kids found broken glass under their bunk beds in the kids room and the tv and wifi never worked once during our eight-day stay - as working parents, wifi is a minimum criteria for us and we would have never booked this apartment without it. We did not book last minute, and paid quite a high price per night considering how much availability there was in town (Belgium and German school holidays had not yet started).

At first Interhomes was responsive and assured us that the tv and wifi would be working again by the evening of our second night. But when this didn’t happen Interhomes became slow to respond taking several days to reply and making vague excuses and/or promises of a refund without any detail. They also kept fobbing me off on different departments. Sometimes saying that I had to contact the local key holder and other times saying that I had to contact the head office. It was such a scam and a waste of my time on holiday - no one in their service department took responsibility to address the our problems. They kept saying the condition of the common areas of the building and the wifi (once they realised that it hadn’t started working after they promised it would) were not their fault as it was to do with the service provider and the over all building maintenance … which may be true, however they failed to inform me prior to arrival about the building maintenance issues and how they would impact my rental until … ultimately the apartment we received differed in material and significant ways from the rental listing. They advertised a premium apartment in a premium location with amenities like WiFi and tv. They were not service oriented in looking for a solution (why didn’t they move us to a different location when they had so much available inventory?!) and the only compensation they offered was less than 5% of what we paid which was a joke considering how sub-standard the apartment was.

Warm and welcoming

This warm couple is very welcoming as soon as you arrive. We even had some homemade muffins waiting for us.
The place is even more beautiful than on the pictures. Very calm environment, really clean.
The couple has thaught about everything, the baby bed was ready, an extra bed was put out. There are even plates for the kids.
Swimming pool is big and also very clean.
I am enjoying my stay now and am sure that we will come back.

Excellent.

We have been contacted that our vacation house was double booked. Interhome suggested a solution and booked another place close. Later on it seemed that the new place was even better than the previous one. So thumps up, perfect handling of a difficult situation it seems.

Perfect, as every vacation arrangement should be. Honest, correct information, no lies, no surprises.
