Horrible experience

Horrible experience! I had a 5:00 appointment at the Southfield Michigan location. I arrived a little early. When I arrived, the door was locked. No one was there. Trying to get someone on the phone was just as bad. I began pressing different prompts just to try to get someone on the phone with no success. The worst part is, I know the complaint will not make a difference because they are offering services that people need. Big companies should stop using this company.

Very BAD experience/company. Would not recommend.

The first location i went to for my scheduled appt told me to come back in maybe 2 weeks. Their kiosk was down. software got deleted. not unexpected from a service, government uses. The 2nd location, the kiosk would not read my fingerprints. My four fingers were bigger than the sensor used to detect. The design of the fingerprint reader is suspect. They need to read each fingerprint separately, not try to read all fingers at once. Worker there, was no help. The kiosk gave me an OK, but i suspect they will tell me to come again. One star is WAY to much for such a poor service.

Very unprofessional to say the least

This incompetent company should not even be in business. From the telephone tree, which is a continuous loop that ends up at the beginning, to the nitwits they hire for fingerprinting. You may want to question the integrity of the companies that use this service!

Horrible website and tech issues

I have used this several years ago. Everything was wonderful. Today I tried and it wouldn't take my schools id. The school didn't understand why. I tried to sign up through my name instead. When I get to the date it says that "No status Found" and will not let me schedule an appointment. I called to make an appointment but their phones were so bad that I couldn't hear the lady. I called back and waited another 10 minutes on the phone just to find out the number online is not for my state and I had to call a new number. I then had to wait again, only to be hung up on due to bad connection with their phones. Called again... lovely lady had to set me up through the system like new.

Useless, horrible CS

Useless. Their kiosk accepts and green-lights everything, only for them to email you an hour later that you have to come back and redo it. When you live an hour away and it takes time out of your workday, that is unacceptable. If you try to get anything done with their customer service people, you'll get a flippant, dismissive attitude and nothing more.

Wouldn't accept a paper ID card but they accept paper driver license

On 2/13/26, I visited your location in Battle Creek, Michigan to complete fingerprinting for a pre-employment background check. I brought my identity documents as issued by the secretary of state. Your list states that a paper/temporary driver’s license is acceptable; however, it does not list a paper/temporary state identification card.

I presented my paper/temporary Michigan state ID issued by the Secretary of State. This document is government-issued, includes the same identifying information used to verify identity, and uses the same ID number format as a driver’s license. Because the temporary ID card was not specifically listed on your document policy, the employee informed me they could not proceed with fingerprinting/background processing. This is the case even though if it was a temporary driver's license it would have been accepted.

This appears to be a policy/system oversight rather than a legitimate identity-verification issue. The result is that I am now delayed from starting my job until a hard copy arrives, which directly impacts my ability to earn income and pay bills. All of this despite bringing a valid, government-issued temporary credential.

I’m requesting the following:

Immediate guidance on whether this appointment can be completed using the temporary state ID card (or what alternative document combination you will accept).

A policy update to include paper/temporary state ID cards wherever paper/temporary driver’s licenses are accepted, since both are issued by the same agency for identity verification purposes.

Confirmation in writing that this issue has been escalated to management/compliance so future customers are not delayed in the same way.

Horrible customer service

The Identigo facility processed the fingerprints I submitted improperly. After a month of repeated phone calls and rude customer service responses that were different every time I followed up I had to start the process from scratch and pay the fees again. I even had a supervisor hang up on me mid call without provocation. The worst experience I have ever had with a call center.

Never any appointments

Never any appointments and they must be made on their Website, Half the time the offices close early and you go and waste your time. They only offer a look at appointments up to 7 days, No walk ins for for finger Prints even if you have an ID number. Called the one in EngleWood NJ and they said it was my issue I was never seeing an appointment, Walked in and was turnt away rudely.

This company is gathering sensitive…

This company is gathering sensitive biological data and operates like some shady back alley operation. The physical location and address for Identogo for my zip code is not listed on Google search or on maps. It was given to me by Identogo as one address in a giant plaza that has no addresses on the doors and was inside *another* business and had what amounts to a hand painted sign in the basement of a plaza. This fact is not indicated anywhere on Google or through the robot-only"customer service" number. The dial options for Identogo's phone number also didn't work for my state. Corey was the name of my helper in Massachusetts (not actually employed by Identogo) and she was *excellent,* Identogo is lucky to have her to explain everything they don't. Believe me, you are being inconvenienced so some slob at the top can make more money on your wasted time and -again- **biological data**

identogo service office in Round-Rock Texas is a JOKE

I had use identogo service in 2020 and it was GREAT until present day of 11/17/2025 and i have went on idenToGo.com to schedule a form FD-258 (finger print card) and the online is NOT user friendly and did not confirm of my filled out. After several submit schedule online in the course of 4-days. i then decided to call idenToGo customer service. There was a young lady named "Kaitlyn" from the area of Pensacola, FL was very helpful and professional to troubleshooting and learned that the idenToGo system somehow block my from schedule due to my last print in 2020. Ms. Kaitlyn was overwrite from her end and schedule me to appt at later same day. I was thrilled and want to get it done. but then then worst nightmare from a older gentlemen work at my local idenToGo finger print office and i showed him my appt UE-id and he said was invalid appt and can not help me. But i was determined that i am RiGHT about my info. I called the idenToGo.com Customer Service and she confirmed with that UE-iD will get me to my appt.

I then told the guy doing finger print and learned that he did not even do a drop down menu and switch to the option UE-id. He was NOT friendly or smart. there were 2 -pissed off customers after me and left.

the address location is..

Agonizing experience.

I hate being the guy posting only negative reviews, but if I don't, who will?

I am trying to renew credentials in Oklahoma, while living in another state. I was told by the licensing agency they now use digital finger printing through Identigo, and it is available in all 50 states. This is true "on paper" but far from reality.

I have a service code (required) and want to schedule a fingerprint appointment. This is about 10 minutes in most cases. Where I live there are 5 identigo locations. None of these are available to me for booking an appointment. The closest is 300 miles away, or I can drive from the East Coast all the way back to OK to get a fingerprint. But that is not all.

I attempted calling them, and was put on death hold 3 times. I've spent an hour this morning trying to get somewhere after exhausting all the avenues on the website. I simply cannot get in.

Once I got someone, I had to repeat all of my information, and they did a web appointment the same way I did and came up with an office in Tenessee somewhere, 350 miles away. There is an identigo office 15 minutes down the road, my wife has an appointment there this week.

This is absolutely horrid to force businesses and governement into a single pay system like this and then have it not work. Microsoft has done this, google has done this, it seems to be the American way to monopolize a market then have it become fully dysfunctional.

They ultimately told me I can just show up and do a fingerprint card. I can do this at any police station probably and it will cost much less, but thats what we get for going full digital, more paper.

Followup 14 October. I got my prints at the local PD, for free. No Identigo needed, no appointment.

Unable to use, unable to get a response, unable to get a refund

Unable to use, unable to reach anyone, and unable to get a refund.

I live in GA and was asked by SC to be fingerprinted for an online teaching job. I paid online with this company only to find they don't do the fingerprint cards in GA and the closest Indentgo in SC is 4 hours away. I tried to call, email, and use the chat to get a refund but no one responds.

I needed to schedule an appointment to…

I needed to schedule an appointment to be considered for an important nursing travel contract. All I needed was the appointment to secure this position. Identigo....fully knowing I was located in California and the job was in Maine and there were no services available in California took my payment anyway but said they were unable to schedule an appointment....to call back later and MAYBE the system would be back up and running. In the time it took her to find a way to secure my payment and NOT provide me with an appointment and the proof of instruction to the board of nursing, I lost that job to a quicker bid. So I go back into their web site and try to get a refund on fees paid with no service given...and now no service even needed....I was told customer service was open 24/7. That is not true. All you get is an AI with a condescending tone of voice that could not process my requests for a refund. Not only did their failure to provide me with an appointment cost me a lucrative contract, they won't give me my money back on services never rendered and now not even required because of their mistake. Terrible service. Very costly for what is offered as services and then a slap in the face for keeping my money

Poor customer service

Was attempting to get a refund for fingerprinting. I found out I didn't need the service and was given a card to call and request a refund. Tried 2 times that day to reach someone, both times was on hold for 15 minutes. I tried again this morning 02/18/2025 at first I was told my call would be answered in 1 minute, then it said 3 minutes, then all representatives were busy with other customers. I chose to hold for the next available representative. After almost 40 minutes I gave up and left my number to be called back. Funny how it was easy to pay for service and looks like it is going to be a big hassle to get my money back. Very unfortunate and a waste of time.
Update: after calling all week, which they were closed Monday for President's Day. Today Thursday after 2 hangups and on the 3rd call I finally got through to a live person. Note: I had 2 calls trying to cone through while I was speaking to rep. Which later find out through my voicemail that they were returning my call from Tuesday. Anyway the rep stated that I need to email their billing department with, my name, phone #, address, email, registration ID#, payment date, amount, method of payment, confirmation # of payment and my reason for refund. Wow, this information should have been on their site, that way I would have not been wasting my time trying to get someone on the line. I guess they figured that I would just give up. The money they owe me isn't a great deal, but it's the principle of this whole experience. If they was a -.01 rating I would leave it here.
