Excellent Customer Service

I visited Iceland in Wednesbury I was on a mobility scooter and I had a basket full of food I got to the checkout and before I could unload my shopping a man behind me who had a trolley said I would do that for you I thanked him for his kindness and help the cashier packed my bag and then the man behind me not realising it was the manager lifted my bag down onto my scooter for me I thanked him again and he said that’s what they are there for I’ve never been shown kindness like that in other shops I have to ask in other shops so I wanted to make sure the manager got a good review and to thank him at the same time. Here’s a shoutout to Wednesbury Iceland and thanks again

Repeated delivery problems – missing items, warm/defrosted food and groceries left on a dirty floor

I am extremely disappointed with Iceland’s delivery service because these problems keep happening.

With my latest order, three packs of water were completely missing, and the food arrived warm to the touch. The frozen items were soft and defrosted, with one ice cream visibly melted, which I photographed.

What is even more concerning is that this is not unusual with my Iceland deliveries. Most of the time, frozen food arrives nowhere near properly frozen — it is often warm or very soft to the touch, with no ice packs or anything around it to keep it frozen. Many of these products specifically state on the packaging that they should not be refrozen once defrosted, so what exactly am I supposed to do with food that arrives already defrosted?

I requested a refund of £15.75, yet customer service asked me for photographs. I find this ridiculous when part of the complaint is about items that were never delivered. How am I supposed to photograph three missing packs of water?

This is also far from my first delivery problem. On a previous order, my groceries were left directly on the dirty, wet communal floor outside my flat. The actual food packaging was exposed to dirt and debris, and my photographs clearly show spider webbing and a spider directly on the packaging.

There have also been other occasions where items were missing and I did not even bother reporting them because dealing with Iceland customer service is so draining. The attitude can be rude and dismissive, and you are made to feel as though you are lying when you are simply reporting what happened.

At this point, I genuinely feel I cannot order from Iceland without something going wrong — whether it is missing items, warm and defrosted frozen food, or groceries being handled unhygienically.

Customers should not have to repeatedly complain just to receive the food they actually paid for in an acceptable condition.
Extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable.

More then one level of customer service

I had been waiting for a delivery which was a little late but was OK with that. The phone rang on answering it was the driver who said to me can I bring bags out to him as I had a lot of shopping I reply to bring it to the door as normal. He replied that I was rude. So I was rude for asking him to do the job he gets paid for. I do not have home delivery's because I am to lazy it is because I am in a wheelchair. I am so sorry that I am disabled and have to order food for your diver to have a job and receives money for doing his job. I had been a customer of Iceland for many years but now I am going to tesco who are happy to do their job plus more they help to put it away. More then one level of customer service

Order delayed by 2 hours and wasn't told

Have been ordering from Iceland for years and haven't had much issue. I had an order for delivery today by 16:30. At 16:40 the website said that the order had been delivered (it hadn't). I called the support number and they said that there had been a delay and the order was going to be delivered at 18:17 (nearly 2 hours late).
I understand that sometimes things go wrong. My issues are as follows:
1) why does the website show an incorrect delivery status? Seems like that should be fixed.
2) why didn’t anyone contact me to say that it was going to be late?
3) the order tracking on the website didn't show an estimated delivery time

Placed an order for delivery

Placed an order for delivery. Was due between 11:00 and 13:30. They say they delivered at 12:45 but I haven't received anything. I have emailed them, to which their response was:

"I am sorry to hear that you have not received your order. I would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Upon looking into this, your order was delivered on 15/08/2026 at 12:44:06; therefore, I am unable to assist with a refund."

I then called them up and was told "We can't get through to the store so we can't confirm if it was delivered or not, you'll just have to wait until the store checks their emails and they'll contact you directly"

That is absolutely unacceptable service. If I do not hear anything by tomorrow I'll just be raising a dispute with my bank to get my money back. I will never be ordering through Iceland again.

The new recipe for Iceland Pepperoni is completely inedible.

I am an Italian living in London and I used to love the old Iceland Pepperoni pizza. It was the best frozen pizza on the market. Recently, you changed the recipe for both Iceland Pepperoni and Iceland Double Pepperoni. The new dough is awful, it has no leavening at all. The center feels like wet, raw rubber and it makes you want to vomit. I bought 15 pizzas, ate 2 and had to throw 13 in the bin. I do not want a refund, I just want you to bring back the old recipe because this new one is impossible to eat.

I experienced two issues

I experienced two issues. The first was an order for water. Apparently, it was in stock when I placed the order (and paid), but was unavailable on the day of delivery. I asked them why their stock system didn't reveal this (the reply explained nothing)
The second issue was about a special offer (buy two and get one free). I assumed they would automatically include the free item when completing the order (wrong). I was told I had to enter three items in the checkout. Unfortunately, there is no explanation about this on the website. I complained and expected some offer of compensation, but was given a response that was basically saying 'your mistake' not our problem.

I had two exchanges with the customer service department and received replies from employees (from other countries) who were simply sending out pre-recorded letters and not interested in addressing the problem.

Companies who operate in this fashion do not deserve our business.

Ordered for delivery today

Ordered for delivery today. I order very little directly from store now as I can get some of the iceland foods I like from a large delivery company who really deliver for free and put it in bags for me. Its impossible for me to receive this unbagged order now as its too hard for me to try to lift things from the floor into bags. Reason I order online is because I cant visit the store anymore. The delivery guy said I could carry them to the kitchen and unpack them there that's even harder..... I really dont think standing frozen goods in the sun on a 32° day whilst a photo is taken on my doorstep is clever either. So its over to a bagged and delivered within a couple of hours firm.

Be wary when visiting Iceland Weston super mare they are in partnership with excel parking who are aggressive parasites even if you have blue badge status they don't care it makes you wonder when a company like Iceland is governed by this company to do your shopping for 1 hour what has happened to the days when a shop was happy to for you to park and spend over £100 shame on you

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Very disappointed by what I saw in Iceland Supermarket Barkingside high street, London IG6 2AW

Often there's only 1 till open with an uninterested/rude staff member and long queues, with the rest of the staff hiding in the backroom.

Over the year, I have noticed how the size of the so called "Iceland 10 Large Class A British Eggs" has shrunk to new depths and the price keeps edging up!!
Its almost as if the staff are sitting in the backroom swapping out the large eggs for smaller eggs and then putting them out on shelf. OR Iceland's supplier is taking the mick and calling them Large eggs when its substituting much smaller eggs into the box. I did complain, but all I got was a shrug. Either way its fraudulent and someone needs to look into it. I doubt the Iceland lazy top management will be bothered. Store managers are rarely visible, why should top management be bothered?
