Yet again a Hull CC Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) was present outside Froebel House School (FHS), Marlbrough Avenue just before 9 am on Wednesday 12th March 2025.

FHS is frequently targeted by Hull CC LEOs, presumably because it is an independent school. This is leftist politics of envy.

Hull CC have previously indicated to the school that parents can drop their children off on the double yellow lines outside the school for a very short space of time. In spite of this advice from Hull CC, it keeps sending LEOs to menacingly stand outside the school, thereby preventing parents from being able to drop their children off at the school. Hull CC is saying one thing, then doing the complete opposite. This double standards places children at risk as they are compelled to cross a very busy road.

Moreover, Hull CC have not made any road crossing provision for the school. Doubtless this is because it is a private school.

Taking my child each weekday morning to the school I pass several state schools, primary and secondary. In the past 11 months I have not observed a Hull CC LEO patrolling outside these schools on any occasion. Presumably, Hull CC leaves these schools alone as they are state schools.

In repeatedly targeting FHS, Lib Dem run Hull CC are doing the politics of envy bidding of the Labour government. There is no way we can vote for a Lib Dem or Labour Mayor for Hull, as they both despise private schools. Shame on them.

I have finally come to the point where I can no longer stand back and not make it publically known that the people of HULL are not being respected or taken care of by the actual bureaucratic setup of their telephone system or the way the administrative department. The employees of the council offices are trying to do a job and they too are as stressed as the customers. On Monday, I called Hull City Council/Council Tax department at around 11.35am. it took me through many options and after pressing various numbers 7 times, I still had not been given the option to speak to a human being. I had a query about my Council Tax Reduction. I have recently moved. I am 71 and disabled with autoimmune disorders. I am in constant pain with very limited mobility.. Since moving to Hull, I have had various challenges with the City Council. The first situation which occurred was my Blue Badge renewal which Rachel, in the Blue Badge admin department. She was supposed to be helping me renew my badge, I was constantly told I had not given them the correct informational was not eligible for renewal. On the SEVENTH month of being WITHOUT A BLUE BADGE PARKING PERMIT, I contacted my local Labour Councillor. Within 3 hours she had called the BB department and I then had my new badge within 5 working days. I had been housebound, had spiraled into depression, and was generally experiencing greater pain and inability to function. This was and is totally unacceptable. Being on hold on the phone, when waiting to speak to a professional at the council, waiting for 74 mins, being subjected to prerecorded music designed WITHOUT consideration for the person waiting. Having to listen to repetitive rhythms and percussion instruments known to create anxiety, is UNACCEPTIBLE. This is also interspersed with repetitive instruction on how to obtain information on the website.... as if every query is something they have an answer for ONLINE; they do not. Customers DO sometimes NEED to SPEAK TO A HUMAN BEING TO GET AN ANSWER TO A SPECIFIC QUESTION, unanswerable by their multiple choice answers. THE SYSTEM IN COUNCIL OFFICES IS BROKEN. This needs attention NOW. To blame customers for being unable to contain their emotions in these circumstances is again - UNACCEPTIBLE. I have personally had to work hard to remain neutral, emotionally while attempting to be clear with what I need to say. I consider myself to be a reasonably intelligent person, so if I find it deeply disturbing and distressing to have to cope with the mismanagement within council offices, then how are the less advantaged, less able and more deeply challenged able to cope? They often do not cope. None of this is acceptable and the system is broken.
