Please contact Trading standards

A moisture level of 6% is considered low within a roof space.

Please send me your details so we can assist you. Unfortunately, a scam is currently operating, where consumers are being advised to remove excellent insulation under false pretences.

3yrs ago I had spray foam insulation…

3yrs ago I had spray foam insulation carried out by Home Logic in the loft.
Job was carried out looked OK. However, the sales man failed to tell me that spray foam would wrot the loft timbers.
He also failed to me that nobody would be able a get a mortgage if I was to sell my house.
When I called Home Logic to address my concerns they blatantly said they never heard of any problems even though it's been picked up with rogue traders, which magazine etc.
I guess you live and learn.
DO NOT TRUST THIS FIRM THEY WILL LIE TO YOU.

AVOID this company

Had spray foam insulation, big issue with selling my house. Contacted the complaints line via email and corresponded with Justin Perry. Emaild are not legit, no contact or company info!!!! Started complaint back in May and they did not follow through.
Apparently there is no issue with it but if I want it removing its going to cost despite the foam being installed incorrectly and giving a total different reading from another company in comparison to theirs. AVOID anything to do with this company. They are scammers. Even the complaints email is not valid. Be careful, there are many companies not vetted and certified to remove the product and provide legit certificate for moving forward. As for receiving reply today (09/08/2025 and being emailed by this Justin Perry, to confirm, I have had a vetted company around who will be removing the spray foam with all the certification requirements and are known by all mortgage lenders. I did my research. A legit company would remove the product free of charge as it was not installed correctly! There are many customers like myself who was missold this product in 2023 and are in the same position. Check out watchdog and Homelogic sale techniques. AVOID

This review is disappointing

You had a rip out firm around house, misleading you

We came and checked the installation for no charge, and nothing was wrong

if you want to believe people open for less than 6 months instead of a company trading for 12 years that is your choice.

AVOID SPRAY FOAM AT ALL COSTS

We received an installation of Icynene open cell spray foam in Jan 2021. We have not received any certification of the installation. I reached out in April this year for certification in prep for mortgage renewal this year. I have rang countless times on the 0800 number and sent follow up emails but haven't heard a thing. We have also recently been approached by an independent surveyor explaining how this installation does not meet regulations and would cause any lender to reject application. We would need to remove the spray foam and seek legal action to recoup any costs incurred. I've also seen that the MD has recently resigned from the LOGICFOAM subsidary with the new MD, Justin Perry being previously convicted for conspiracy to defraud in 2016, leading to resignation as a director of home logic.

Does not reply to complaints

Does not reply to complaints, we have had what seems to be plastic outside facia and some insulation screwed into out conservatory roof. Well it's warped and almost falling off because the panels are to heavy for the joists.
I have been told there is a problem with the phone and emails. Blah blah blah. No you just can't be bothered as we having been waiting for a call back for 2 weeks
Will be looking for full refund and damages forthe conservatory. We will be seeking advice from the financial ombudsman on this issue.
It will be interesting to see if they reply to this.

Open cell spray foam insulation - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

After having open cell spray foam insulation installed in my loft in January 2023, it was time for me to remortgage in August 2024.

I arranged for a surveyor to visit my home on behalf of a particular mortgage lender - my application was rejected because of the open cell spray foam insulation. My certification from HomeLogic, which supposedly proves that the product is fit for domestic use, was not accepted as their decision was final. I then arranged for a second mortgage lender to visit my home - my application was rejected for the same reason. I raised this with HomeLogic and their response was to blame the lenders and their individual lending criteria, even though I was told at the point of sale that it was closed cell insulation that had these issues, and not open cell.

I asked HomeLogic for a list of lenders that supported open cell spray foam insulation, to which their response was (direct quote via email): "there was protocol released March 2023 which should have resolved but is slow to be adopted by all mixed with all lenders changing lending policy monthly due to % rate increases.".

It appears that mortgage lenders can change their lending criteria at any point, so even if you are lucky enough to find a lender who will offer you a remortgage now, that may not be the case in the future.

I have since had the insulation removed so I do not have this problem again. I also recently contacted both lenders who rejected my remortgage application and they both said that if I tried to remortgage now with the insulation still present, both applications would be rejected again.

Having open cell spray foam insulation installed in my home has been a very costly mistake for me. It is my opinion that the risk of being hit with increased mortgage payments because you cannot remortgage (an additional £300 a month in my case) severely outweigh any benefits of having the insulation installed.

Loft Spray foam is a scam do not buy it

Sales person pressure sold and said there would be no issue with a re mortgage this was a lie. Had to spend £900 on a roof survey and £4000 on removal which is on top of the 3.5k is cost to install it, do not get spray foam insulation and do not buying anything else off them, it's a scam they get you to install it with them then they charge you to remove it too, should be free because of the false sales promises!! Banks don't allow remortgages in houses with spray foam insulation! House is hotter on the summer not colder!

That's not a helpful reply! "A colleague you wish me not to name publicly" gave me a removal quote, so you obviously do removal as well even got a bogus 30% discount too! No contact for over a week, it's a joke. Obviously you didn't read what I put I can't get a remortgage while I have spray foam in the roof! Which exact lenders do allow it?!! Which rics surveyors did they use?I've already sent all the relevant paper to the surveyors! Made no difference with your approved bba certificate! Is 75% a fact or a number you plucked out of the air? Still had many problems with the foam and remortgage which your sales person assured us would not be a problem! More lies! Your Sales people just wanted the commission they certainly do not deal in facts! Home logic read my updated review and reported me for naming a colleague as a breach of trustpilot reviews but can't be bothered to update thier reply. Definitely a con.

Edit they do spray foam removal bits it's not advertised, paid but now refusing to answer emails the phone or complaints not bothered to send the certificate through!! No wonder they were £600 cheaper than the other companies!!

afternoon

We do not remove sprayfoam insulation. I am not sure why you would remove a perfectly good product when there is no need.

75% of lenders will lend , we can supply paperwork for surveyors.

Very low quality material

Very low quality material, and service
Very low quality material, fitting and after care
I did all my doors and windows
They altered the material I ordered, and replaced it with cheaper items
They broke my shutters, promised they will come back to repair they never turned up
The quality of material is poor, now my porch door is jamming and is hard to open or closed, called them, sent them emails no respond or acknowledgment for weeks
Very disappointed, wasted my money

Awful people, awful company

I did loft insulation and installed solar panels on my house and two years ago. The sales people were quite pleasant (obviously need your business)

Now I am trying to sell my house and need to contact them for something that my conveyancing lawyers are asking.

Their two contact numbers are not in service.

How can you run a company like this?

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

YOU WILL BE IN DEBT FOR A LONG TIME.

I think the only time, anyone will get in touch if I complain or they are on TV

Horrific service

Horrific service. Mis-sold from the start. The sales man told us we would be guaranteed at least £2000 back as we were a 'key home' and any other installs in the area were going to give us money off our bill. He guaranteed us it would reduce our cost. It didn't. We have ended up with £3600 of insulation that is costing us selling our home. It's a joke of a company who have salesmen who lie through their teeth and a product that is an absolute joke. DO NOT TOUCH THESE GUYS WITH A BARGE POLE!!! Worst decision we ever made. Non existent customer service post install and a 'customer portal' that you can't log in to

Customer confidence

The principal problem seems to be responding to post-completion queries and complaints. I have a minor query about a defective window about which I sent an email and so far received no reply. When I first engaged with them, the sales team did not understand my building concerns. However, they had a brilliant project manager, Karl Fletcher, who restored my faith in their ability. I understand, however, that he has now left the company. You may need to review their proposals carefully.

Avoid Home Logic

Don’t touch this company, I had my conservatory roof insulated by them in 2022 it came with a 10 year guarantee, the total cost being £5,545.00. Noticed weeks ago that it was coming away around the hedges and sagging, large gaps in all the joints. I have contacted Home Logic on numerous occasions and was told someone would contact me but no contact from them. I have contacted the company that registered them as a trusted trainer, very nice man contacted me, still no contact from Home Logic. I rang again first thing this morning and got a reply and was told that she had emailed the complaints department every time I had rang and she had no idea why the haven’t contacted me. Looks like I will have to go down the legal route. Save yourself the hassle and use a different company 😡

Poor Installation of Spray Foam Insulation installed…

I had spray foam insulation installed in 2017, since then I have discovered that the foam was missold due to the fact that it is not fit for purpose. To have this stuff removed I am faced with a hefty bill, which I can ill afford. I am prepared to take this matter further in order that Homelogic cover all the costs involved to put my home right and that I no longer suffer any more needless stress.

We had our conservatory roof insulated…

We had our conservatory roof insulated just under 4 years ago. Looks very nice but 2 weeks later the roof all leaked and rain water came in, they obviously knocked the glass roof as it has never leaked before . Upon calling them to come out ASAP to fix the problem. Water I couldn't control so there was towels and buckets everywhere. Luckily we have a stone floor so it never got damaged but that's not the problem. The problem was there was no urgency to come and visit us. The excuse was "Euro football is on and I doubt our contractors will come out". You can imagine the frustration and anger. A phone call several days later got a bit heated on our behalf as there was no matter of urgency, which led them to refuse to come and see us. Then upon the contractors watching the video we sent them with all the rain water coming in they said we had every right to complain. Anyhow they finally fixed the problem and was very apologetic. cut to the present day the installation of the roof has bowed and has come in clipped. We have clipped it back up but that's not the problem, the problem is they haven't even acknowledged our request of a return call, a voice mail or even an email. We have a warranty of 10 years. We have never known a company of such incompetence to return a call. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

Disgraceful

Tried contacting you a number of times to discuss our shoddy work done!!! I’ve emailed your complaints service & I expect a reply back or I will be taking this matter further.

Your shoddy work has left us in a state. We haven’t been able to sell our house as people couldn’t get a mortgage as they don’t accept spray foam. We’ve lost out on 2 house sales because of you & we’ve also missed out on houses. The fact you wanted to charge us to remove it then still expect me to pay for the roof is a joke. I’m still going to be taking this matter further as you’ve left us in a nightmare.

Ignoring problems that are to do with spray foam

They did our solar panels, and they were perfect for the first year or so. However, stopped working a month ago, and no matter how many times we ring and they say someone will be in contact with us. No one has. As they're focusing on the spray foam issue they have, ignoring other problems people have.
A lot of money was spent on the solar panels to be ignored when it's not working and just told 'ill get someone to contact you later you're near the top of the list' there should be different complaint departments to deal with each department rather then people be ignored.
