Thank you to Josh!

I would like to thank Josh for his professional and friendly service. He made sure the car was ready for me to drive home the same day, should I decide to purchase it (which I did!). He secured me a great deal and included some extras as well. Josh also followed up with a courtesy call to ensure I am satisfied with the car and answered all my questions regarding the purchase. Thank you, Josh, and the entire team!

Customer service

Today I took my MG3 into the Cheshire Oaks show room on recall. I arrived at 1.30 and was told that as it was a waiting appointment it could take three hours. Obviously I wasn’t very happy with this, I thought a waiting appointment meant that I waited while the work was done rather than leaving my car and coming back when the work was completed. It was a recall so I had no other option than to go to the dealer. I voiced my dissatisfaction with the amount of time I was going to have to wait and feel that because it was a recall by the manufacturer the customer service was not satisfactory.
However as I was waiting I spoke to Aaran, one of your sales staff who was lovely and if I decide to buy a new MG I will go to him. He told me if I needed anything to ring and ask for him and he will do whatever he can to help. He is an example of what good customer service is.

Hyundai Stockport- awful

Hyundai Stockport- never go there for a repair. What an absolute shambles! Long story short, I was booked in for a few repairs which I had fully outlined and they had already suggested solutions for. It isn't like they didn't know what was coming. They did a health check the same day, sent me the fixes for each issue, I authorised the work, and you'd think that was it. Work done, job done, off we go! But no, what ensued was a week of them not doing the work because "they were too busy" or "the technician was on a training course". I had complete radio silence so had to chase updates myself. Each time I rang, I was told I would get a call back, that never happened. Every day I was told "it will be ready for sign-off tomorrow". Every day, I was given a different excuse as to why that hadn't happened. I took my car here, accepting the extortionate premium prices, because I thought remaining within the Dealership umbrella would give me the best parts / service possible. How wrong was I!? To top it all off, on the drive home from the Dealership, the rattle they had "fixed" was very much still there. All in all, a very stressful and inconvenient experience. I won't be back, and I would certainly not recommend.

STOLE MY MONEY

Don’t know how they’ve got so many good reviews. Don’t think about leaving a ‘refundable’ deposit because they will simply steal it and refuse to answer. When you eventually get through, they will ‘ring you tomorrow or put it through to the right department’ . GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK YOU ABSOLUTE LAZY THIEVES!

Superb Nissan Dealership

I'd recommend Holdcroft Nissan Crewe to anyone because Absolutely delighted with the Nissan Qashqai Tekna that I purchased recently at Holdcroft Nissan Crewe. The car was presented in pristine condition at a very reasonable price with many little '' extra's' included in the deal. From my very first contact with the garage and our dealings with Josh Steventon ( salesman) we received excellent customer service throughout the whole purchasing process. I cannot speak highly enough of Holdcroft's, nothing was too much trouble and they made the entire purchasing experience easy and a pleasure
THANK YOU

Untrustworthy

Four years ago I bought a 2017 Hyundai Tucson from Holdcroft. It had to be scrapped a couple of weeks ago (with not quite 90k on the clock) because the gearbox disintegrated. On top of that, it was burning two gallons of oil a year so the engine wouldn't have been far behind the gearbox, and the paint was peeling off - looking like a bad respray after a crash.
Wouldn't go near Holdcroft again.

Oldham Mazda

I purchased an approved used CX-5 from Oldham Mazda via distance sale, and the process has been flawless from start to finish. Joshua Pickering has gone above and beyond from the moment I first inquired about the car and has continued a high level of service even after I drove it home. Joshua has answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly and made the buying process so easy. The car itself is wonderful, and was thoroughly inspected, serviced and had a fresh MOT prior to handover. A huge selling point was the Mazda approved used warranty which comes with a number of benefits, but the customer service I have received from Joshua and Oldham Mazda is what sealed the deal. Buying a used car is incredibly stressful as you never know what problems you may inherit, but I feel very reassured that should anything go wrong, it will be sorted quickly. I feel certain I made an excellent choice of car simply because of where I bought it. Thank you so much Joshua!

Volvo reservation process doesn’t work

Paid a reservation fee for a Volvo on the company’s website. Promptly received a voicemail to say someone else had also paid a reservation fee on another platform, which is clearly a system that doesn’t work if two people can reserve the same car! The voicemail helpfully said the other person was viewing the car that morning and they’d call me by lunchtime either way…they didn’t! Three days of silence have now passed, so I guess the other person did buy the car. They still have my reservation fee though, which now leaves me with the hassle of chasing it up.

These processes are designed to provide a slick customer experience and yet in this case, did exactly the opposite.

Experience at Holdcrofts Volvo Hanley

The dealership is a long established business and this is the second car I've purchased from them. We agreed a fair exchange for my old vehicle and James from the sales team explained the various aspects of the deal. He was very fair, helpful and knowledgeable and he went out of his way to ensure the new car was fully equipped and prepared ready for collection.
Overall a pleasurable experience and I would highly recommend them

Happy and Friendly Staff

I am happy with the staff at Hyundai Stockport. Initially I signed up to a finance deal that was not right for me, when this became apparent everyone helped me understand the different types of finance and find the right one for me.

Clueless

I had an electric handbrake switch on my Hyundai Tucson replaced under warranty in July 2024. I rang Hyundai as this had broken again, they appeared helpful, told me not to drive it in, get their roadside assistance to collect the car and they'll take care of everything. After a lengthy conversation we established that my car wouodny need a diagnostic, that they could quickly sort the replacement (within the next 2 days)
Later that evening, the AA arrived, told me I should've driven it in and they wouldn't take it. The garage was closed at this point too. What they did do was tell me theyd sort a courtesy car out and if nobody rang me that evening i should expect to hear from them the following morning (Im still waiting)
I took it the following morning to be told that despite parts having a two year warranty, this is not applicable because the part wasn't paid for by me and was covered in the warranty that had now expired. They want £165 for a diagnostic before they'll even look at repairing it. I argued that id been told differently on the phone but they suggested that this was a call centre call and it's not their policy.
I rang the call centre back, was promised a return phone call. After 6 hours I called back, they told me that the dealer would ring me by 17.30 to sort this out with me. Again, no call.
Staff clearly dont have a clue between them what the organisational policies are. If they'd told me about the charges in the first place i could've had this sorted quicker.
