Irresponsible cowboys

A search of the internet showed that they were marginally cheaper for a Sonos Play 1. Their website advises that they will send an email when goods are dispatched. After several days of waiting for the email I called and was advised that instead they had sent a text message to my house phone. I waited and waited for the package to arrive and decided to get back on the phone again. After being left hanging for ages I was eventually told package had been sent and that any responsibility for package being lost by the courier was mine. Rude & irresponsible cowboys. Keep away.

Nothing dispatched nor received

I ordered a product and received an order receipt, but a few days later noticed that my card had been refunded. I rang them and was told they couldn't obtain the product I had purchased. If they can't get it then why sell it?! Deliberate time wasters - I really can't stand companies like this.

Literally no customer service

I purchased an espresso maker today but didn't receive any order confirmation. A few hours later I received a refund notification from paypal that the amount would be back in my account within 5-7 days! I checked the website and the item is no longer available so they do seem to have staff to update the website and issue refunds but not enough to send an email to the customer.

Top Service

Ordered a 65" TV today and Got it the same day i could not believe it when it came.
The Guy who delivered it was kind and very helpful he even checked it before he left.
All calls to the company were very good too and they always followed up any calls great service well recommended.

HORRENDOUS COMPANY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My experience with this company has been horrendous. Anyone considering using HiWay HiFi for any electrical goods should stay well clear. My experience has encountered:

- Fake descriptions on the website claiming TVs are 4K when they are not
- Selling you wall brackets when there are brackets already included with the TV from the manufacturer
- Charging you £100 for delivery if your TV is over a certain size
- Appauling customer service team who do not have a clue and mess you around. Terrible technical knowledge and advice about the product and what is included.

Fast Service

Ordered a Bose sound link mini and made mistake of ordering twice Received email and followed with a phone call by the name of Ken,and amended my order and was delivered same day ! What a fabulous service indeed could not ask for more. Will be back for my next purachase soon.

Good Service Good Products

Hi Way Hi Fi have good products at good value for money.
Their service was excellent .
I got my products on the date agreed for the delivery and I have no complaints.

I will recommend their service and products to my friends.

Yep, have to agree these guys are shoddy

Called to chase my order for the second time after three weeks of the placing the order. 'Your order has been cancelled. You should have received an email to let you know.' I didn't receive any email. I don't usually post reviews on the web, but if my review saves anyone the hassle of dealing with these guys and being frustrated and disappointed then taking the time to type this will have been worth it.

BUYER BEWARE

After searching the internet i found hiway hifi to be the best on price so placed order 9 weeks later still no product no refund and no returned phone calls, BEWARE AND STAY WELL CLEAR

the hole situation had been upsetting and causing distress for myself and my partner

Terrible web purchase

Bought an item via Google shopping, item in stock etc etc. 1 week passes after payment, no correspondence or delivery of item. Inquired via email about the item, to be sent a reply with no explanation, just the online payment return to my account. It's like they could not be bothered!

The worst!!!

I never leave reviews but this company was just so bad, I had to!
I ordered an item with an apparent 1-2 day delivery time. 4 days later still nothing had arrived. I called to check why, and it didn't even sound like i'd called a company, just some moody guy in his house. The item was out of stock and they didn't think to tell me this, via phone or email. However they did remember to take the money from my account! Lets just hope I do get the refund i've been promised..

Worst store and service I ever used! AVOID!!!

On 23/07 I ordered a TV and home cinema system, was told I'd have to wait about 2wks for the order as they didn't have the TV - that was fine. But the TV was delivered over a month later - on 3/09. It's now 31/10 and I'm still waiting for the home cinema system, even tho I've been calling them every week and was being promised every week that next Monday it'll be delivered. Can't get a refund as used their financing option - which now I know was a huge mistake. The guy who answers the phone sounds like he was asleep at work. This store and their service is a joke. Will never even consider them even if their price will beat the competition! Not worth the stress!

TERRIBLE PLACE *WARNING*

Had amp and sub setup in a different car, they installed the same setup in another car and wired the sub wrong to fry the voice coils causing me to reluctantly purchase a sub from them, also.. requested 4gauge wire from battery to amp.. they pulled 8 instead an when confronted said 'we will only charge for 8'... thinking they would then have me go ahead and pay 4gauge being pulled PROPERLY this time which I didn't bother with them after that. I returned more than a few times for their issues with frying my voicecoils, half assed wire fuse always melting from their poor installation which had to be replaced a few times as well, they also half assed the head unit install which now causes clicking from behind the dash. anyone and everyone should seek other sources that are way more professional.

Good Price and Good Service

I came in to buy a 3D TV and having walked round for 2 minutes it seemed that no one was interested however i was approached by a younger gentelman who was very helpful and explained and showed me the features of the products which mad me more confortable to buy from them. I ended up buying a Panasonic TXP50VT30 from him and i can say very happy with my choice. I will use them again, good price and great service.

Good Price but terrible customer service

I bought a Samsung Blu-ray player which arrived quickly but faulty. Three phone calls & another three emails eventually provoked a response & a replacement was sent. My advice: keep hassling them or better still, ask for a guy called JAY by name as he seems to be the only one who understands that good customer service will encourage customers to come back.

Good Response

Not being very well up on technology, I contacted Hi-way Hi-Fi via Email with regard to some questions regarding the Panasonic TV and Panasonic Blueray DVD Player that I was thinking of purchasing and received a reply almost immediately which answered my questions in detail. I then logged onto their website and ordered the above, again within a few moments I received a telephone call to say that I had forgotten to select a free Blueray DVD and which one would I like. I gave them my selection and they gave me a date they could delivery the two purchases. Not only did the TV and DVD Player arrive on the day, but they rang to say that they were on their way and the driver called me 15 minutes before his arrival to confirm he was nearby. Therefore the service was in my opinion Excellent and there was not a scratch or bit of dust on either of the pieces of equipment when it was unpacked.

Terrible customer service.

Purchased a new multi region Toshiba DVD player. Arrived in dusty condition. Faults started appearing one by one. Unable to contact Hiway by phone. I wrote email after email over a period of 4 months, but never got a reply. Not good at all. My future business was taken elsewhere as I just do not trust this company. (I've just purchased a new 40 inch TV, AV amplifier, & a Sony Blu ray player). I still am trying to get in touch with their admin & Customer Service Dept. The player is now only playing 75% of my DVD's :(

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

I ordered a DVD-HD-recorder-combo in January - 7 MONTHS AGO, paid over 200 GBP for it but have not received it!!! This is at best a fraudulent company. No replies to my e-mails since May when they stated that they where going to look into the case soon... Yeah, right... Do yourself a favour and spend your money somewhere else!!! They don´t even deserve 1 star!!!
