The tool sucks and they have no moral compas

As many others here, we've also been scammed.

Signed up for the lifetime deal which was very buggy form the get go. We assumed it would improve over time but now we understand why it didn't. They built a parallel platform with all the improved functionalities and excluded their loyal day-1 customers.

Essentially we financed the development of the new platform but reap no benefits. All the promised improvements will probably never come true.

They'll probably keep on repeating this trick.

Edit: april 12th
Got an ultimatum to provide additional info to Trustpilot as Heropost is trying to take down this post. Provided it as there's no way I'm going to allow them to take down this truthfull post.

Hi Sebastiaan,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand your frustration and want to clarify a few important points.

All users who purchased a lifetime deal still have access to the core features originally included in their plan — including unlimited posting, unlimited social media accounts, and integration with platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and Reddit.

The original platform had limitations we could no longer improve upon due to outdated systems. To address this, we developed a new platform with enhanced functionality, and all lifetime users were upgraded for free to this improved version. You still retain unlimited posting and access to the core networks.

We are committed to supporting our users and would never intentionally exclude our lifetime members. If you're having trouble with any features or your account, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at support@heropost.io or via the live chat on our website. We’re here to help.

We appreciate your support and patience.

Disappointed

Disappointed that the lifetime platform is no longer supported and we as BETA testers were offered an 80% discount on the new platform but anyone new signing up is offered the same discount.

It says something too when this is highlighted on their Facebook page and they block you. Thankfully you can use other profiles to check and just look at their recent posts, the number of comments from other unhappy customers that too have been blocked or hidden. 100s on one post with only 2 visible comments.

It’s a shame as I really did like Heropost and had used them since 2020, but just ask yourself, do you really want to grant a company with these types of shady practices access to your social media API details and credentials?

Hi Dayle,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly understand your disappointment and want to offer some clarification.

Your lifetime plan is still active and has not been revoked. While the original platform faced limitations due to system aging and third-party API changes, all Lifetime users have been upgraded for free to the new platform, which includes many fixes and improvements — along with unlimited posting, access to core social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit), and more stable performance overall.

Regarding the discount offers — we previously ran promotions that were exclusively available to lifetime members during select campaigns.

We take concerns about transparency seriously. Our team does not intentionally block or remove feedback unless it violates platform policies. If you feel your experience wasn’t heard, please reach out to us directly at support@heropost.io or contact us through the live chat on our website. We are always here to listen and help.

Thanks again for your past support since 2020 — we’re committed to continuing to earn your trust.

Annoying business practice

While I'm annoyed that they pulled the "New platform" trick on lifetime license owners. I stopped using it long ago when it was clear they weren't planning to make the platform useful. Scheduling never came (Bet it's in the platform). New social networks weren't added (Again, probably in the new one). Etc.

It's a bummer to lure folks in with "lifetime licenses" then spend years not improving the platform while you focus on building the new one that will screw the folks that already paid. Ah well.

Hi John,

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts — we understand your frustration.

To clarify, your Lifetime license has not been revoked. We acknowledge that the original platform had limitations over time, especially as third-party APIs evolved. That’s exactly why we launched a new platform — to provide a more reliable, scalable experience and deliver long-requested features like better scheduling, improved performance, and broader platform support.

Lifetime users were upgraded to this new platform at no extra cost, with continued access to core features such as unlimited posting and scheduling, social accounts, and key platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest.

We genuinely regret if you felt let down during the original platform’s transition. If you'd like help accessing or using the new version of Heropost, please reach out to us at support@heropost.io or via live chat on our website — we’re always here to assist.

AVOID!!! SCAMMERS! Don't support this company.

Wish there was an option for 0 stars!

Worst customer loyalty EVER!!! Purchased a LIFETIME subscription which was very average, but had high hopes that HeroPost would work hard and make it an awesome service.

However, they now want their LIFETIME users to pay to upgrade to their 'new' platform. Well I've contacted their support and have told them straight if they do not honour my LIFETIME subscription to HeroPost then they'll be getting a scathing review.

Nobody buy HeroPost, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BEHAVIOUR! It will encourage other companies if they see them get away with this. I hope HeroPost falls flat on their face with this decision. Really discraceful to their lifetime users.

Hi Handyman Home,

We hear you and genuinely appreciate you sharing your concerns. We understand how disappointing this situation feels, especially as an early supporter. That said, we want to clarify an important point: your Lifetime subscription has not been revoked or downgraded.

All Lifetime users continue to have access to the core features they signed up for — including unlimited posting, unlimited social accounts, and support for key platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest.

To help address limitations from the older system and adapt to major changes from social media APIs, we built a completely new platform with stronger infrastructure and additional features. All Lifetime users were upgraded for free to this new version with no need to repurchase.

If you're having any issues accessing your account or features, we’d be happy to help. Please reach out via support@heropost.io or connect with us through live chat on our website — our team is here to ensure you're fully supported.

Scam alert: Heropost

Like many others, I signed up for the lifetime membership. It didn't have quite as many features as others (still doesn't), but they had a roadmap. It felt like a good investment, as it did service my needs at the time. They made it seem like lifetime subscribers were essentially crowdfunders for them that would be rewarded when the project was complete.

Boy, was that ever dishonest. Now I'm logging into a "lifetime member" login with tons of pushes to get their new, updated platform for 80% off... but they were EXTREMELY clear at original purchase that lifetime subscribers would never have to spend another dime. What a great deal, they told us.

Absolute scam. It's expensive now for what they offer. There are so many other worthwhile projects and services out there that will get the job done. What these guys are doing absolutely is illegal in both the US and Canada.

I'm in Canada, so I doubt I can be a part of anything in the US, but if it is possible, I would absolutely be willing to participate in a class action. Just let me know what's needed. If it is in the US, I'm happy to provide any of you with a written statement. Just ask.

We want to be very clear: your Lifetime subscription has not been revoked, deleted, or downgraded. You still have access to all the core features promised at the time of purchase, including unlimited posting, unlimited social accounts, and integrations with platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest.

When we launched our new platform, it was built to address significant infrastructure challenges, API changes, and long-term scalability. But we absolutely upgraded all Lifetime users for free to ensure continued access without requiring another payment. If you're seeing messages about a discount, they’re optional.

If anything isn’t working as expected or you're unsure about the version you're using, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly — we're happy to assist and make sure you're set up correctly. You can reach us via support@heropost.io or use the live chat support on our website.

Sold everyone on a "lifetime deal" then announced a new "better" platform that everyone would have to pay for again. Claim they will "still support the old platform" but you know how that's likely to go: support degradation over time and push push push to go to the new more expensive one.

Your original lifetime deal is still valid — it has not been revoked or removed. Lifetime users continue to have access to all the core features included in their original plan: unlimited posting, unlimited social accounts, and support for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest.

In fact, all lifetime users were upgraded to the new platform at no extra cost. The upgrade includes a more stable system, bug fixes, and improved functionality. There is no requirement to pay again for access to the features you purchased.

Treating loyal customers badly - big time!

I purchased a "lifetime license" to heropost a year ago. A few days ago they updated the system and now only give me access to a now so-called "lifetime-platform" and not giving me access to what they now call "the new platform".
It's without doubt that the new version of Heropost is nothing else than an update (which per their website will always be free) to the former version. The tasks performed are the same and the workflos is also the same. It just looks more modern and supports a wider range of platforms (some still in development).
So people, stay away from Heropost! They are a ripoff, and they give a s**t about their loyal customers.

hundreds (if not thousands) of clients…

hundreds (if not thousands) of clients paid for several lifetime licenses, INCLUDING twitter/x.

a few months ago, heropost deleted the use of twitter simply. without further notice. heropost told clients it would be "impossible to connect twitter / x again". i have the statemens here.

a few days ago - heropost added the "impossible to connect again" twitter/x via a (so called) new update. and: want all their users to pay again. for a service which was included in lifetime licenses they paid already for.

nope.

to everybody reading this: heropost is cheap - compared to the prices of others. but: their client management is cheaper! stay away!

update: the worst thing in the end is that not even half of their “new platform" works. for which they want to rip off their customers again. essential social media channels are not functional.

this doesn't just sound like a scam, the company is definitely a scam.

Hi MOVERS,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We completely understand your frustration and would like to clarify a few points regarding Twitter/X integration and the changes with the new platform.

Due to changes in Twitter/X’s API, the service has moved to a premium model, which means that access to the API now comes with significant costs. Unfortunately, these charges made it financially unsustainable for us to continue supporting Twitter/X integration on the old platform. As a result, we had to make the decision to limit access to this feature on the old platform.

However, Twitter/X integration is now available on the new platform for monthly and annual users, as these charges are covered through their subscription plans. Lifetime users have been upgraded to the new platform, and while the API costs make it impossible for us to offer Twitter/X access for free, we continue to offer the core features and social media integrations like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest, and LinkedIn at no extra cost for lifetime accounts.

We understand how these changes can be frustrating, but please know that we are committed to delivering the best experience possible. What a way to ruin the trust and loyalty of your existing customers, I paid for a LIFETIME pro membership with a development roadmap for the product that was never delivered. Only to be told that in that whole time (2 years), what they have been working on is a "new interface" that we, even as LIFETIME members, have to upgrade and pay to access.

This company is not honest.

This company is not honest.
3 years ago they announced a lifetime deal with an unfinished platform. The service didn't comply with the needs of a marketing agency, but they said it was in development and would have those features in the future, so we decided to take the deal.
Today they launched a new version of the platform, and the customers who purchased the lifetime deal have to pay to use it.
They say we can still use the old platform forever (that never got the promised updates), but without support. What a joke.
Not to mention the bad support, many times they didn't even reply.
What can I say? Not recommended.

Left Lifetime Users Out in the Cold with "Update"

This company just decided to leave their LIFETIME customers out in the cold.

Thier new updated does not apply to LIFETIME members. After purchasing the LIFETIME membership, the company does an update and then asks for current LIFETIME customers to purchase a monthly plan. The good ole' bait and switch routine again.

The only good is that the software was good for a while amid the glitches. But after this most recent debacle, they have upset many.

They left all "Lifetime" customers out in the cold with a product that will not be supported after 30 days. Their statement - "Support for the old version of Heropost will no longer be available 30 Days from the date of this email."

In case you are wondering, I have a screenshot that says, "Sure, the lifetime deal includes all future updates."

That statement was made about HeroPost in General. Now they want to spin the conversation to one subscription not the whole software. (BTW, the LIFETIME subscription was for the whole software before.)

So, this LIFETIME purchase was not really LIFETIME.
