This excuse for a company is a complete scam and rip off. They bill you and make it INSANELY difficuly to figure out how to unsubscribe and they never refund!! I told them that I literally NEVER use... See more

One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They first reported that I had done a chargeback, which I hadn’t, but either way, they never warned me that they would be deleting my account... See more
Dreadful company. Kept getting billed even though I had deleted my account and all my projects. Not even sure if it's deleted now... guess I'll find out in a month if they send another bill. I'm no... See more
The years is 2025. Paypal around since 1998, Heruko since 2007. This is sheer laziness and failure: "Heroku is billed via credit card, automatically on a monthly basis. We do hope to offer another pa... See more
I got locked out of my account and had to cancel my credit card. Best to avoid.
I got locked out of my account and could not recover it. I tried customer service, and their advice was to LOG IN AND SUBMIT A TICKET. I explained I could not log in that is why I needed help. I could not stop the charges. I even used the account lockout form. Still ended up with them telling me to log in to get support. There's no customer service number. No humans who can do anything but paste in a rote response. "Log in to submit a ticket."
I had to cancel my credit card to stop the charges. Absolutely a horrible choice. Makes sense Assforce bought them, they're going to make great bedfellows just taking bit fat dumps on each other's pillows all day.
Scammers
My experience with them when I decided to close my apps on the platform has be nothing short of frustration. They charge you for services or resources you don't have or haven't used. And they won't refund you either. They bill for "other charges" without even explaining what those "other charges" are even if you don't have any apps or services up and running. Please choose another platform that is more fair and more transparent about the bills.
I think a class action case must be filed against this company to get justice for all the customers that have been scammed or are being scammed.
🚫 Literally stealing from me
Dreadful company. Kept getting billed even though I had deleted my account and all my projects. Not even sure if it's deleted now... guess I'll find out in a month if they send another bill.
I'm now using Vercel and Fly.io instead - much more transparent business practices and better developer experiences.
I am considering switching servers…
I am considering switching servers after I had to try 3 different cards to pay and it worked one time to pay more recent invoice while the old invoice with the same card is not getting paid.
This security is stealing hours of my time, I'm using the card in my name and no VPN and I put my correct address it keeps declining some invoices for no reason.
Probably last month I'm using this heroku.
Irresponsible and slow
Registered an account with them almost a year ago. Constantly got charged for the services I never received while the customer service acted really slow and ignored several of my emails. Won't use their over-priced service again.
This company is a complete scam
This company is a complete scam. I looked into using their interface for a website, but couldn't get it to work. To create an account you need to give them your card details. Despite the fact that I did not use their service, they charged me ~$30 a month and locked me out of my account. I spent three months trying to get into my account, sending countless emails to support and often being ignored, all the while being charged every month. It's the worst customer service I've ever interacted with. I could not advise you strongly enough to avoid this company.
This office urgently needs to improve…
This office urgently needs to improve its UX. With such forced payment for unnecessary tariffs, they look like scammers.
I've been using Heroku for a year
I've been using Heroku for a year, but Heroku blocked my account. I have linked the account with my credit card, but it blocked it
so easy
no cloud platform is perfect, but this is
- easy to manage
- easy to deploy
- easy to scale
I really love Heroku after crying for months over AWS EC2.
Managing backend infra in the early stage of your startup is stupid. You can work on more important stuff
Notes:
- never interacted with support, seems from other reviews they are not good at that
- sucks that they remove the free version, years ago Heroku was the de-facto platform for dead-personal projects
Stay away, it's fraud!
Heroku blocked me out of my account for almost 2 years. I don't use their services anymore, but they charge me every month. I can't get in contact with them, they blocked my email so I can't remove my credit card. It's 100% fraud - stay away!
One of the first cloud-based hosts
One of the first cloud-based hosts. It's great but has too many limitations and usually have issues with deploying stuff I need to tinker with. The price is bit higher than the competitiors.
Charging my bank Account
Charging my bank Account
no service but charging my bank Account.
Charging my card though they've closed my account
They've locked me out of account. contacted their owner Salesforce so they can stop charging my card. They can't find an account for me, but also can't help with the continuous credit card charge. They told me to email billing at heroku.com since its a legacy charge...and there's no response from that email. Salesforce says "Sorry, we can't help you." What?!?!?Having to go through my credit card to cancel.
Poor UX
Site has very very poor UX
I unsubscribed eco plan and got charged again next month even though.
I removed my app and removed my account. Never coming back again - nor privately nor professionally.
please stay away from them
please stay away from them. after a while they block you out of your account by asking authentication which never goes through and start charging you every month without your consent. they are scam. I am planning to block my credit card to get away.
Impossible to unsubscribe - is it a scam?
I tried to unsubscribe, but I get an error anytime I try. The application doesn't allow me to downgrade my services and keeps invoicing and charging me every month. I had to block my credit card to get away. From my point of view, what they do is a clear definition of an Internet scam. I sent them an email to solve the problem (never got any answer), and then I created a ticket but their support is useless.
It's a shame to end the free dyno…
It's a shame to end the free dyno services. Many folks depend on it. Heroku will just become another platform like others
Account Verification
Verifying my account has not been possible. You guy should use an alternative means for verification. I have tried all my debit cards, none worked
