After reading reviews on Trustpilot, and the No. 1 rating, I had no hesitation in deciding which company to use to unlock a phone I was going to pass on to a relative.

The ordering process was simple enough, provide the model and IMEI of the phone and expect a response in "48 hours maximum!"

Well, 48 hours later I had not received a response - nor an order confirmation. But I did have a receipt from PayPal, so I sent a query through the website querying the status of my order.

In the absence of any response from Guaranteed Unlock, I felt at this point I had no option other than to raise a dispute with PayPal.

And as if by magic, within a day I had my email from the company with unlock code and instructions.

I purchased a 99p sim from my local Tesco to allow me to verify if the unlock code worked once input. The instructions for my specific phone were a bit misleading and didn't work, so I resorted to the web to be able to enter the code. At this point, I finally had an unlocked phone.

I'm hoping I was simply unlucky and my order just slipped through the net, but it shouldn't have taken a PayPal dispute to resolve the matter.

Given my experience, I shall look elsewhere next time.

Unlocked my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 within hours! I stupidly tried 'Official Phone Unlock' first but 30 days later I'm still waiting for a reply from them. I am a complete numpty when it comes to IT and I had grave concerns that I would mess up the unlocking process because of my ineptitude. In fact, it took me some time to pluck up the courage to have a go but I followed the instructions given to me which turned out to be quite straight-forward. Although it took me a few attempts to access the right file that I needed to send off to Guaranteedunlock.com (as they had advised it might), I got there relatively quickly and the unlock code was sent to me a day later. A fantastic company set apart from the others with their fantastic communication. A fair price when compared to other sites too but even if they were more expensive I'd be happy to pay the extra because of the fantastic service. Couldn't recommend more highly!

I had been searching the net and Amazon and Ebay for an unlocking service, and when I did reviews, I realised that you didn't know who were con men as most were. Luckily I found trustpilot and this company. It took 35 hours to get code, they had poor communication with me apart from computer generated PayPal messages, I started to panic and sent three emails and then heard from them with the code which worked great and no issues at all. So I did think it was a con site as no communication but it worked out great, would recommend to anyone. Just don't be in a rush, give yourself a couple of days to receive your code.
