Unethical billing policy

Apparently my experience is the same as other people who have posted about their experiences. In my case this account was opened by a previous business manager of mine without my knowledge, so even though the money was being taken from my account every year ($349.99)I could not give them the information necessary to close the account. This was an account that I had no access to and the email account that was used to open it was not mine. Finally they told me that if I could send them a screenshot of the $349.99 charge that would be sufficient to prove that the account was mine and I could then cancel it. I sent the email with the screenshot and they agreed to cancel the subscription a YEAR FROM NOW when it expires and that they are going to keep the $349.99 that was automatically withdrawn from my bank account this last week. So I have an open account, and God knows who has access to it, for the next 365 days. No refund.

Be very careful

Be very careful. they took a whole years money in advance without notice to renew my plan. only once the money had been taken did I receive an e-mail. I contacted them to cancel & try to get some refund as I no longer required their platform. despite being a customer for 15 years they were not interested. They have basically grabbed my money & told me tough luck. Plenty of better companies out there with more ethical customer service.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Our account was inactive for two years and when we went to cancel it they said we would still be billed $37.50 monthly for nine more months. A yearly plan that apparently costs more than th $35 they advertise. No supervisor can do more than keep saying that’s the policy.

It is a pure fraud

It is a pure fraud. Never deal with them.
I cancelled their service a year ago, they kept charging me, agent said almost laughing in my face it was a yearly commitment. Ok, I paid. Then they renewed the account without my consent: they lied straight in the face that I have not cancelled, and making an idiot out of me saying I never cancelled. How come Website stated the Subscription is cancelled? - No, you cancelled the renewal. Why then its renewed? Cause you never cancelled. So they warm me up for $400 and drove me nuts for 5 connections I made to their useless service a year ago.

Very bad

Very bad. Never buy. They say monthly subscription and once we cancel they charge for the whole year. When we contact customer support they say it is what it is. Blood bugs. Cheaters.

Billing is an issue

Billing is an issue - the product works fine, for the most part. We no longer needed it and have not used it in Months. I did not cancel in time and the auto renewal hit. I called them a week after it renewed to let them know I will not be using the service and they said I basically did not have a choice as the service will remain active for an entire year and they will not refund. Be leary!! If I did business this way, my company would not be in business. Take care of your clients and they take care of you. This is theft as far as I am concerned.

They send an email 24 hrs before they charge your credit card for annual renewal. When you call to cancel 2 days later they say you’re on the hook for a year and will not refund the unused portion. Crooks!!!!

I called in multiple times

I called in multiple times, last case number was 20818952. They won’t stop charging your card even though you ask for it numerous times. I had to call my bank and report my card as stolen.

You sign up for a month to month subscription. what they don't tell you is that is not month to month but a year commitment. When you try to cancel the subscription, you are now on the hook for a whole year.
There are other services that are far less such as remotepc by iDrive. They charge 2.95 a month. GotoMypc is 37.50 a month.
Moreover, there service is much faster and better quality.

Stay away from gotomypc, they are ripoff artist. The service is exponentially expensive then other solution, and is very slow.

Cancelled GoToMyPC after10 years

Been using GoToMyPC for 10 years and been very happy. The past month, I have been unable to connect. Spent an hour with tech support last week. They uninstalled/reinstalled. Same problem this past weekend. Called tech support, spent 40 minutes with them, essentially, they said to uninstall/reinstall again, they were having launcher problems, with no resolution date. I asked to be transferred to cancel my account. They cancelled, and refunded the unused 6 months. VERY disappointed. For $420/yr., you would think they would keep things running.

Terrible policies and customer service.
After cancelling over a month ago I noticed they were still charging me so I called, they had said it wasn't cancelled. Looked through e-mails didn't find anything to prove it was cancelled so it's your word against theirs. So I told them please refund the payment that was charged 2 days ago. She said in their policy their are no refunds allowed for cancelling you will pay no matter what happens. BEWARE THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!

VERY POOR SUPPORT AND OVER PRICED! Do YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND LOOK AT ALTERNATIVES LIKE SPLASHTOP! We have 25 desktops and paying 1000 dollars a month. We get NO SUPPORT! We are slowly going to move all our machines over to desktop!
