I am paid customer of RemotePC.com for last several years (SOHO). Suddenly I started getting a message "Remote Access Not Configured" on my screen, which made it impossible to see what is behind the annoying message and I spoke with Nandu at support of RemotePC.com, who told me that I have to do some kid of downgrade to get rid of the message! When I argued with him, he hung up on me!! I called again and found another person who told me the solution was in downloading & installing the latest version!!

They will bill you after cancellation
They will continue to bill you even after cancellation. Attempted to cancel via form, still billed. Called in to talk to rep, wait times were over an hour, got in the "queue" - the automated system called me back and said queue wait failed, too many people waiting and then hung up. Attempted multiple times. 2-3 day wait times for an email back which is a copy/paste. Had to dispute through bank and then of course their support was super responsive the bank disputing the claim. Luckily I had an email trail asking for cancellation back in '24

I'm a licensed RemotePC user
I'm a licensed RemotePC user. I used it on AnyDesk. This was the first time I'd ever heard of a payment detail called HOSTS OVERUSE CHARGES on RemotePC. They tried to charge me $120 without my knowledge, but they couldn't because they used a virtual card. The program is good, but I feel cheated because they never shared any information about the extra charges.

Incompetent customer support team. They delete your account and refuse to refund you. Confusing inital setup.

Their support is the worst
Their support is the worst! You feel like you are talking to a robot that don't give a dmm. To solve a problem, they harass you to make their work much easier. It's a joke. It's not for nothing that 90% of the reviews here are about their very bad support. I would rather pay more and get good support.

Not fit for purpose
Switched from anydesk to remote pc . Within 2 days it become obvious product has a serious flaw that makes it unfit for purpose for providing ad hoc attended support. Unfortunently I didn’t notice it while testing / trialing .
Every time you get a customer to run their attended access app it re-downloads behind the scenes some 60+ mb . Even if they did the same on a call 20 min earlier . 25mbps network it takes nearly 60 seconds before it is functional . 10mbps or slower it’s minutes .
When I asked support for a solution workaround their response was : your clients need faster networks .
The product once running is fine ; good even. Getting to that point can be a serious frustration .
What is most annoying is this is not a difficult technical problem to overcome if they wanted to solve it . All their competitors provide a single file executable you can pre distribute to suit your needs . Even a download once solution , which I originally assumed remotepc was , would be acceptable .
Edit: I tried to reach out to PR before writing this review and I still have no reply from them, or from support who told me to go pound sand. I don't think their outreach in the reply below is in anyway sincere. I've since switched to something else; I have a product to support and unlike RemotePC I take that responsibility seriously.

The software is functional
The software is functional, but several persistent issues have significantly affected its usability over the years:
Frequent Disconnects and Freezes:
The software disconnects often. Even more concerning are the frequent freezes, which force you to disconnect and reconnect manually.
Erratic Connection Behavior:
Occasionally, when attempting to connect to one computer, the software mistakenly connects to another. This causes display distortions and erratic mouse movements.
Platform Inconsistencies:
Surprisingly, some features work better on the iPad app than on the PC version. Although the PC setup offers more customization and a working mouse scroll wheel, its overall reliability is lacking.
Scalability Concerns:
With 100 licenses in use and support provided for over 30 companies, these issues can become increasingly problematic.
Overall Sentiment:
Despite the low cost, the growing number of issues—especially the frequent disconnects and freezes—suggest that the software may no longer meet our needs. We’ve been using it since COVID, but it has deteriorated to the point where discontinuing its use is being seriously considered.

First loyalty is to scam customers
First loyalty is to scam customers not the legit ones, or victims.
I had a remotePC session with (I thought) Canon that turned out to be a scammer. Remote PC have been incredibly slow to provide any meaningful help - currently 3.5 weeks and multiple chasers. I've even been told that there was no remote session at all (since rescinded when I again advised I watched it) and that no detail of the session can be shared (despite sharing session logs with technicians). Also repeated failures to call me back at arranged time to update. No clarity on what data losses occurred. Promised sharing of information has again failed to happen. Rude and patronizing staff in US team - one of whom (Chris) hung up on me after I requested he stop interrupting. Felt like constant gaslighting and shunting of responsibility elsewhere. Utterly unsatisfactory.

Application is very slow and clunky
Application is very slow and clunky, when speaking to support it was very clear that this was not a new subject to them. I was not assisted with how to make the scenario better, instead I was told to simply use something else if I was not happy with the app.
Best of luck to you

I love this app
I love this app. It's super easy to install and gives you complete control of the PC you are connecting to. If you trying to help a novice accomplish something or need files from a remote computer, yes there are other ways to accomplish the same thing, but none of them even come close to what RemotePC does. Give it a try, you'll be glad that you did.
Ok product, very bad company
The SW in itself is not great, the streaming is at around 720p (which is pretty bad compared to windows RDP, also consider I have 2000 mbps fibre), stream loses quality very fast if you scroll for example on a page going to around 240p then it recovers in a few seconds.
The worst part however is the company - they have (on purpose of course) removed the option to cancel auto-renewal, there is no such option in your account. Answer from support - there is nothing we can do, you have to cancel your account. Oh, if I cancel my account I lose access to the license I just bought of course.
The company uses these kind of pirate tactics to steal money from customers once the 1st year of license ends. Stay away, buy other products.

Lots of connection issues, buggy
Had RemotePC for over a year now and still get a lot of use out of it alongside other similar options. Giving it four stars as it works pretty well for a very low price as an alternative to TeamViewer and very easy to use. Doesn't get five stars as it is a bit buggy, often mucking about with keyboard shortcuts for other Windows apps while it is open. It also occasionally drops the connection but easy enough to reconnect. I got RemotePC to manage a bunch of my own remote PCs, where Remote Desktop doesn't suit due to HASP and other USB devices not working and TeamViewer gets very expensive where you need to manage a bunch of PCs. I still also have a single professional copy of TeamViewer which works a bit better for client remote support, though it is also increasingly becoming blocked by IT security.
Edit: constant connection problems since writing this review, will be ditching this and looking for an alternative. Changed to two stars.

Fraudulent Company with Incompetent Customer Service – AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. It takes them an unbelievable month or more to reply—when they even bother.
I canceled my account by disabling auto-renewal, but they still had the audacity to charge me for another year. When I reached out to their so-called “customer service,” they claimed I never canceled and should have received an email confirmation. I told them I disabled auto-renewal, but of course, they have no records of that—how convenient for them.
This nightmare has been dragging on since May 2024. It’s now October, and guess what? Still not resolved. In that time, I’ve disabled auto-renewal three separate times, only to find that every time I check, they’ve re-enabled it. This company is nothing but a scam, blatantly ripping off customers and lying about their practices.
This company should be shut down for these predatory tactics. Avoid them at all costs if you don’t want to be trapped in this endless cycle of fraud.

Prepaid and signed up for 2 years of…
Prepaid and signed up for 2 years of their service and when downloaded their portal the account was instantly suspended and personal information and list of other computers associated with that computer was provided in a screen shot, very unprofessional, not very safe for clients computer information. Now waiting to see if they are refunding the money or if its a dispute to the credit card company.

A terrible experience
A terrible experience, but I believe it matches the price they charge. The RemotePC attended mode works only when it feels like it; sometimes the client has to open and close it several times to get it to work (which is very uncomfortable for the person accessing it as it shows we don't use good tools). It doesn't work on Windows 7, the RemotePC Host doesn't update automatically, you have to update it manually on the website, and it seems I'm not the only one with these issues. However, the support team implies that the problem is with your machine or the client's, and they simply do not improve this aspect. These are problems I have never had with competitors.

Rip off. DO NOT BUY!!!
I have had this software for almost 1 year and use it very irregularly on a personal level (Less than 10 times a year) to connect my Home PC to a work laptop. I thought I had bought the software outright for $80, which is steep for something similar to a free app that comes with Windows (Remote Desktop) but it was slightly easier to use. I have just received notification however that it will be charged AGAIN this year at $100!!! This is not high quality, tool dense software like Photoshop, or a AAA rated console game, it's a remote connection software that is slightly easier to use that Microsoft Remote Desktop. It is definitely not high enough in quality or complexity to warrant "software as a service" pricing. Especially with a 20% increase in 1 year!! This is nothing but a cash grab and is absolute theft. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!!!
Edit: No, I won’t email you about these “issues” because they are not issues, they are your scummy business practices of trying to rip off your customers. Your practices and ethics are a disgrace.
