I've had Upside for almost three years now and I have had great luck with it. I think I've reached the 300.00 mark with cash back. We use it every weekend and during the week. And we've changed to premium when we drive a classic car. Every little amount of cash back adds up over time and it's some what rewarding to get a GC with the cash back. And it's FREE!

Upside is a great app - saves money through its cash back feature. The app is very good but if you forget to enter your receipt and close the app - their online help system is wonderful. They resolved my issue and notified me my cash back request was processed.

I'm a new user with this app and I enjoy it I am not here to expect to get rich every night but every little bit does help and I am thankful for that. I did have one issue with a receipt and the customer service agent that I was with was outstanding She had my funds posted the same day. . I would recommend upside to all my friends which I have and they're also enjoying it. My only downfall is the grocery store is Giant that I have to use for cash back so I only buy my meats at Giant. I wish they would include Food Lion that's my primary grocery store for everything else I need.

I’ve had at least a half dozen receipts not accepted for one reason or another. Every time I reach out, Upside has taken care of it right away with no issues. Always a response !

I almost rated it 5, but I don’t just give those out. I also read the 1 star reviews out of curiosity. What I can say after using this app for the last 4 months after being introduced to it is that it is worth it imo. It’s not that I haven’t had an issue from time to time, but that every time I had an issue it was corrected whether it was a bonus issue or a rebate issue support always got back to me. Start with the AI help comment bubble thing found in the app under help and I’d voice my concern or issue there. Didn’t matter what my issue was I’d start there and this WILL get an email response from a person in the next few days. They say could be up to 10, but I’ve usually gotten the help I needed pretty quick. They have always helped me, whether they were explaining something (I usually didn’t understand) OR making right a situation that resulted in a greater rebate earned, they always helped. I always had the owed credit show up manually in my rebate account thing. I drive everyday for work. I have two cards I use. In under 3 months I have accrued over $200 in rebate credits. I have cashed out twice straight to my bank account without a single issue. I read online that sometimes the gift card option was shaky so I sent straight to my account and neither time did I have an issue. So in typing this review, I’d say this would be 5 stars if I didn’t have any wait times on anything AND I shouldn’t be left with nothing if a referral downloaded the app and created an account, but doesn’t use it. That is my only complaint. I have had a couple referrals download and create an account but didn’t use the app. Sooo that sucks lol but I think bringing someone over that downloads & creates an account should get me something instead of nothing lol. So in short, I don’t know what those 1 star reviews are talking about because that is the polar opposite of my experience, and I absolutely recommend this app to anyone but especially those that drive a lot daily. It’s worth it.

Upside has continued to offer gas incentives from a local retailer, Sunoco, that doesn't get the required information to Upside in a timely manner, if they ever do. I have trouble claiming my rewards, because I have to wait 11 days to get Upside customer support involved in the transaction and awarding of my rewards money. EVERY time ! I make Upside support aware that I have to go through this process EVERY time I buy from this one retailer, and they have yet to do anything about correcting the situation. I have sent receipt, credit card charges and a copy of the claimed offer,as verification of my purchase to Upside, but they refuse to grant me my rewards until the 11 day processing period is up.By getting customer support involved, that purchase is not counted in any promotional monthly bonus that might be offered that month. Overall, I like Upside, but am very tired of going through this EVERY time I use the most local gas station for me!

I really want to love using Upside because it can be super helpful. I love checking the app before I buy gas 🚗⛽ and using it at restaurants in my area 🍔🥤—when it works, the cashback is a great bonus!
However, the biggest downside is the payout and verification process. Cashback takes way too long to process ⏳, and many of my purchases stay stuck in “processing” and never pay out at all. This happens even when I link my card or upload receipts correctly—and I’m inserting my card, not using tap-to-pay. 💳
I’ve also had to reach out to customer service multiple times, which gets frustrating 😕. The verification should be much faster, and cashback should be credited every time when the requirements are met.
Overall, Upside has a great idea and real potential, but the reliability and speed of cashback really need improvement for it to be a 5-star experience.
