While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Inept software for Identity

Such a poor piece of frustrating and useless software. GBG are inept and the technicians need lessons in basic interfacing, quality control and enhancing images.

We have used their system for many…

We have used their system for many years without issue. However, due to a recent migration to alternative platforms that offer the required features natively, we no longer need their services.

Today, I received multiple emails from Cian O'Mahony from their customer service team. Despite clearly requesting that my details be removed from their database, he continued to respond with attempts to upsell other services.

One particular comment stood out as especially inappropriate and presumptuous:

"Company policy would dictate that we'd need to better understand the reason for leaving on a short call."

To be clear, I do not work for your company and am under no obligation to adhere to your internal policies. This kind of response is not only unprofessional but also dismissive of a direct request to be removed from your communications.

Who Should I sue?

If this company is one of those leading the sector (as they claim) I hate to think of how the others perform. I've been trying to verify my ID for my West Ham season ticket. Firstly the GBG system had crashed giving error message 500. Early next morning I was able to log in but no matter what I did the system could not get past the ID document identification stage. So WHFC have employed an organisation which says it is good but in practice it is not. I hope the club manage the team better this season. Maybe I won't be allowed to enter the ground as I still have not proved myself. I wonder who I should sue in that eventuality?

Unprofessional approach

I rang to enquire about the service they provide and some gentleman picked the phone up and there was someone speaking over him in the background so he put his phone down. He called back and told me about their service which was way too expensive for me so I declined. The gentleman was called Richard and he was very damning about one of their competitors who i currently use. He then went on about how their service is the best and told me that if the police review is as a result of test purchase indicating my current service provider is inadequate then I should call him back and take on his business. He came across very rude and unprofessional and I do not do business with unprofessional, rude and obnoxious people.

Data Privacy Concerns

Concerned about the practices of GBG Limited. They share private mobile phone numbers and with debt recovery company without consent. This breach of privacy causes significant distress.
In today's digital age, privacy is more important than ever. Companies that exploit personal data to target vulnerable individuals are undermining trust and causing harm. It's crucial for companies to respect privacy and handle personal information responsibly. I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this company.
