Can’t fault exception price of track for rolling gate , which would have doubled my costs so made my own track out of bar and flat iron !!

My review has been auto entitled “disgruntled” and that is unfair, I did struggle with the installation but overall I am happy with the outcome.

Guidance notes and diagrams not very good. A particular problem for me was adjusting the ram support bracket, it needed to be cut down to allow the ram to rotate to use the other holes. No written guidance on this and I needed to pay for another bracket before I got it right.
The photo cells that were included had different connections to those shown on the wiring diagram. Phone technical support from Nathan was very good. The ram is now working very well.

Nearly a 5* review but not quite...
I purchased a kit for my gate having received good advice from Nathan at Gate Motors.
This was a self-install and, whilst being electrically competent, the terminology used in the installation manual is very 'gate-automation' focused and sometimes more than a little confusing.
Some of the components of the 'kit' arrived separately, direct from their suppliers (admittedly this was during lock-down so maybe that was the fastest way to deliver) which is not a negative point; it was just a surprise.
Unfortunately a star has been dropped because a couple of the kit components were supplied with the wrong installation/instruction manuals. This was very confusing when I was trying to wire in the various components during install and it meant at least 2 days wasted going backwards and forwards with trial and error.
The GSM module did not support a Vodafone SIM (again, incorrect installation instructions were supplied with my module) but there is no information telling you this so, having bought my Vodafone SIM which has the best signal at the gate location, 2 hours of trying resulted in a call direct to the module manufacturer's field engineer who told me about the incompatibility. I installed an EE SIM and everything was fine.
Nathan at Gate Motors provided great after-sales service and support in the absence of their actual support team during lock-down.
I still can't get the wireless safety cut-out sensors to sop the gate from closing if the beam is broken but again, I think that might be a terminology thing.

A very helpful company speak to sales tell them what you want, they will do there best to find you a cheaper product but still extremely reliable. From there to purchase supply card details and hey presto job done and goods despatched.
