Excellent customer support

Excellent customer support. I accidentally bought duplicate DLC and, despite it being my mistake, they offered store credit as a one-time exception. Quick response, clear communication, and very fair handling. Thank you!

Customer care with initiative

A no-nonsense store with frequent good deals on pre-orders and recently released games.

As a favorable personal experience; they just moved one of my preorders between their localized stores to make sure I get the preorder bonus with it, despite the difference in pricing and at no request of mine! It's clear the people behind it want honest business and care for the people that choose them. Great experience!

Had a problem with dlcs compatibility

Had a problem with dlcs compatibility with the Ubisoft connect, and the gamesplanet assistance was really helpful, while the ubisoft assistance was terrible.
Now my problem is fixed,a really reliable team, thanks rafal!

Got a code from a campaign for a key of a game that was locked in my region.

Refund Policy is Garbage

Gamesplanet will not offer a refund even though I purchased a video game within an hour of buying. There are far better companies such as Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation with customer friendly refund policies. On the other hand, Gamesplanet does not offer a refund once a purchase is made and the code they give is unlocked. They are a useless 3rd party. Just a greedy company with no consideration to their customer’s concerns. Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation will let the customer use the game and give a refund for a video game if the customer requests within the same day! Gamesplanet WILL NOT REFUND!

Hi Kendra,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. It seems you did it twice as you already wrote a similar review in 2021 with the same frustration.
As a store selling activation keys, our refund policy is still the same than in 2021 and once a key is revealed it is considered used and we’re required to settle royalties with the publisher. For that reason, refunds for simple convenience after key activation are generally not possible. This is standard across key-based retailers and is outlined before purchase.

That said, we do review refund requests individually where circumstances allow, which is why you may see some customers mention successful exceptions.

These are the case when client demonstrates that the game doesn't work and we are unable to resolve the issue or the client explains he made a mistake that we can correct, etc... but generally we refuse requests for convenience only.

While our model differs from platform holders like Steam or consoles, we focus on competitive pricing, authorised keys, and direct customer support.

We appreciate the feedback and understand this may not suit everyone’s expectations.

That said, we were unable to identify which order your opinions from 2021 and 2026 are based on, and since you did not wish to provide more information, we are not certain that your opinion is based on a real experience.

Very Quick Response

I accidentally purchased a game twice so i sent an email to have one refunded and they responded within 10 mins. Very quick and it was easy to resolve.

Good service

I found it easy to use this service - I bought MSFS2024 for 15% off the RRP. As it was my first purchase, Gamesplanet manually checked the transaction, which took about 1-2 minutes. Once this was done, I activated the purchase, obtained a registration code which I was able to use in the Xbox app using the 'Redeem' option. I'm happy it all worked out as hoped.

Stupid scammy bullshit

Stupid scummy scammy bullshit. Site tells you to sign in through Steam. What they don't tell you is that it auto creates a fake email alongside it in which you cannot change and are required to access to gain access to the codes you paid for. SCAMMY BULLSHIT DO NOT USE

Sorry for the frustration.
When you sign in via Steam (or other social logins), a temporary placeholder email is automatically created so the account can exist securely. This email is not used to deliver purchases, and no access to it is required.
You can add and confirm your own email at any time from the user dashboard, and our support team can also fix this for you within minutes if needed.
There’s nothing scam-related here, just a standard OAuth setup that unfortunately wasn’t clear in your case. If you contact us at help@gamesplanet.com and we’ll sort it out quickly.

My paypal email was different to my registered email with games planet so the email game link was delayed and required a quick email to rectify. I got my game so am happy.

Scammers

I purchased a game on their platform and gained access to a code. I tried to use the code and the content wouldn’t download. I downloaded other games the same day on my pc with no issue. My storage space is not even close to being full. No content that I purchased on Gamesplanet downloaded. I couldn’t use the game. I requested a refund within an hour of purchasing the game, and the customer service representative (Craig) denied quick with no hesitation. They deliver corrupt content and then say your refund rights have been waived due to gaining access to there code to download the game. If the game content doesn’t work or download, they won’t grant a refund. I can’t even ensure the game I bought downloads and works first. They simply will deny a refund. I recommend to take your digital gaming purchases elsewhere. This greedy company has no regard for their customers issues. Only care about their customers money.
