I’ve given up on freeview channels

I’ve given up on freeview channels, so many repeated films on.. why are repeated films on with Sylvester Stallone! Why is Star Trek on all day on the horror channel with repeat horror films on? Why are the same Columbo repeat episodes on 5 USA channel every weekend? Why is “Fraser” being repeated again on channel 4 all over again? Whoever is organising the programme must think we are forgetting after watching films/dramas!! What happened to good drama, films and Disney animation films like fir the children in lockdown?

Freeview rubbish

Freeview is absolutely monotonous. Repeats like a loop not unlike brainwashing. American humour is trash which I fail to understand as I'm English. The quicker we get rid of this mind numbing trash the happier I'll be as for their american footbal thrown down our throats they can keep it when last I looked this country was a sovereign state ..lol yeah right ...

Rubbish ! HD channels have gone. Picture breaks up.

The service is complete Rubbish !
HD channels have gone except the big 5.
Picture breaks up so often as signal quality drops.
Constant updates have no positive effect.
If this was a paid service it would be closed down !!

I have two high quality aerials for two seperate TVs and both are the same intermittent poor quality.

Unstable reception due to weather.

Since the last advertised transmitter work (northwest)whenever it rains or the whether turns the reception is terrible. Blocks of channels seems to suffer in turn, BBC goes whilst the others remain or vice versa. Historically this has happened post transmitter work but had settled down. This feels permanent. Anytime the weather is less than benign your looking at streaming alternatives or DVD’s. Doesn’t bode well for long winter months.

Not all channels are available

Not all channels advertised as being on Freeview and included in their TV guide are available in all regions. They do not make it clear nor do they have TV guides for different regions. In today's climate of transparency and data availability it's not really good enough.

Freeview problems. Since 12 August update I have had…

Since 12 August update I have had nothing but problems although have retuned numerous times; channels 1 and 2 have disappeared; no BBC1 and 2 except on hd and unable to receive BBC Northwest news at 6:30pm as no regional BBC available; ITV is now ITV Wales so no Granada programmes; some channels missing; sound disappears on what channels are left frequently and have to reboot tv etc. Terrible service. As it is operated by a company which is a joint venture between the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and transmitter operator Arqive I would have thought between them they could have solved the problem by now. Thanks, Richard. 21 August

Sick to death of dreadful signal

Sick to death of dreadful signal. Constantly dropping out, pixellating, blank screen, all accompanied by deeply annoying high pitched screeching sound every few seconds. At least with an analogue signal, all one had to contend with was a bit of "snow" and "ghosting", but still.watchable, and you could follow the dialogue without having your eardrums perforated by screeching and squeaking. You get what you pay for, and Freeview is cheap and extremely nasty. Some of us have no choice but to endure this abysmal "service" as we can't afford Sky.

No Channels!

The person who is responsible for the lost channels should be sacked. Get it sorted!! Done all the crap they have put on their site to fix but obviously this doesn't work.

Totally diabolical just trying to make…

Totally diabolical just trying to make people who can't afford it upgrade to aerials they probably make. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY USELESS and as for the BBC making people pay for TV licenses to watch their programmes which have disappeared since so called update should reimburse every TV license payer.

freeview helpline is ridiculous

freeview helpline is ridiculous, 08081000288 taken from bbc teletext, is robot answered, you press the button you want for which service, and EVERYTIME, the message is "sorry all our advisers are busy, please call back later" then you are cut off, its a waste of time, i am THINKING SERIOUSLY of getting the whole lot removed, and going to a streaming service now, it is not worth the bbc tax fee for the rubbish that is shown anyway, and the help is none existing if you have a problem. my advice for anyone thinking of freeview is "DON'T BOTHER".

Freeview sucks!

For those of you having trouble viewing the freeview channels, do not worry. You aren't missing much. My freeview reception is very good, but that is the only positive thing I can say about this service. Repeat after repeat after repeat - on all channels. Also, the limited selection of movies available are constantly rotated week in week out. Yes it's free, but it's a poor entertainment service. Perhaps I should look into netflix.

awful beyond belief

awful dated, never working service reminiscent of 1950s USSR style pixellated rubbish output. No wonder no one is watching the channels anymore.Quite shocking for a supposedly first world country.
