Flowbird doesn’t flow anywhere
Ive had to use the Flowbird app in Kingston NY. It almost never works. As a result I’ve had to contest parking tickets. I’ve had to borrow quarters from my hairdresser. It’s a joke. I also got charged twice and didn’t get a refund after I complained to their bot. Please make it go away
Flowbird, awful
Awful app. Doesnt recognise locations or even offer up the location codes of the nearby machines. Its actually quicker and easier to pay at the machine instead of spending 5-10 minutes to try and use this app and then eventually giving up. A poor poor cousin of the far superior Ringo app
Flowbird parking in Huddersfield Leisure Centre !
I have been using the Flowbird parking machines at Huddersfield Leisure Centre for a few months now - however when my bank statement comes in - some of dates don't tally up with when I parked there ? sometimes a day ahead of when I parked there ??? and one date I was even out of the country !! I'm going back to using cash instead !! Ridiculous !
Worst charging stations
Absolutely rubbish charging stations! Got charged 50 pounds when the charger didn’t work and didn’t even charge my car ! Now I have to claim it back !
Disastrous App/Customer Service
The Flowbird app is completely dysfunctional, an absolute waste of time. When I contacted their customer service today (October 30, 2025), the agent had no idea what was going on, kept me on hold for 10 minutes, then told me to “start again.” When I asked what that even meant, he simply transferred me to “Customer Service.”
After another 5 minutes of waiting, an automated message finally said they were “too busy” and told me to call back later. That’s it, no help, no solution.
I genuinely don’t understand how this company is still allowed to operate. With so many daily complaints, how are the authorities not shutting them down and holding them accountable with heavy fines? Is this a case of bribery, negligence, or something worse?!
25% failure rate
I used the app successfully three times in the past. Recently, I parked at a lot serving a train to the Philadelphia airport. I paid for 14 days of parking. However, when I opened the app again at the end of the 14 days to extend my parking by three more days, all of my account had disappeared, leaving only my license plate number. Even worse, when I checked my credit card statement, I saw that the earlier payment had never gone through. I came home to find four parking tickets on my windshield. A 25% failure rate is unacceptable. Maybe the answer is to pay with a credit card at the kiosk for the trip and use the app only if I need to extend the time.
A terrible app at best
A terrible app at best - a scam at worst. This app failed to process my parking spot then charged me twice anyway. And they "don't issue refunds" says the customer service. Upon reading more reviews this is happening to almost everyone that uses the app.
Stupid design
Stupid design. I can't add a credit card until I pay for my first parking. So when I'm home, at my computer I can't add my credit card. Instead I have to wait until it is at night, in the snow or rain, fumbling with my phone and credit cards, typing in a long sequence of numbers, with the date and security code. Of course, there is a typo...whoever designed it should be fired.
Shocking App
Shocking App, nothing works. Parked when in free zone but can't book for the morning so will have to physically go there and add parking. What's the point of the app? When signing up had an error, but worked and it forces you to store credit card details. This worries me and have zero confidence these clowns are storing my card details securely. Avoid at all costs.
Can't set up credit card in app before…
Can't set up credit card in app before I go to airport - need to set up credit card at 4:00 AM in the freezing cold and dark - what's the point? This app already sucks the big one
This is the worst parking app I have
This is the worst parking app I have. Confusing, frustrating, the opposite of user friendly. I gave up when trying to use it on my latest visit to Gloucester. I just took a chance that I would not be ticketed. I was lucky.
Horrible company
Horrible company. They triple charged me for parking. I’ve sent my bank statement showing the 3 charges, and screen shots of the app showing it didn’t even read my parking. They will NOT refund my money. I have contacted the city of Minneapolis to formally complain about their terrible parking app.
Useless app and negligent customer service
I installed the app and it identified the car park correctly. I registered two cards but when I get to the pay screen the app says there is no payment registered. I sent a complaint to customer service. Two days later they sent a reply saying the problem is with the car park and to use the machine. The problem is not with the car park since I used the exact same card on the car park machine to get a ticket. Completely useless app and organisation
Worst machines ever
Worst machines ever. It takes forever to buy a ticket and you need 3 tries. Every city that installs this system doesn't want anyone parking.
App forces you to purchase more time than needed
App doesn’t all you to choose exact times for meter. I always end up paying for more time than I need. This is a daily issue.
Scam alert
Total scam directed me to external site which then said it would take £25 a month unless I cancelled . Managed to get the initial £1 payment removed and card now blocked to merchant but now have to monitor it daily to make sure nothing taken. Councils and hospitals who use this app should be sanctioned .

Visited Porthscatho in Cornwall and our first encounter with this awful App.
Trying to park we met several people all trying to use the app as the cash machine was out of order. Total failure with the app and as there was a notice from the local Gerrans Council threatening a fine if no ticket was displayed we left the car park. Reading the simply dreadful comments about this app we will avoid all car parks using it.
This scam is all but a scam
This scam is all but a scam. The damn app does not process your payment. It accepts your payment information but fail to process it. I will be on the lookout for bogus charges from this company. WARNING: NEVER use this app.
Car towed with time still on the app...no response from Flowbird
A lot of the crowd standing around were having trouble getting the app downloaded, and getting registered, but we got through it okay. However, when we returned, our car had been towed with time still left on the app. Flowbird did not respond for about 10 days, and then, only to tell us that they couldn't help us. They were fine taking our money, but their customer service is almost non-existent. Stay far away.
