Love the newspapers and the regular updates of them. They are the way we can find out about our people's lives rather than knowing just their BDMs.Suggestion of a series to digitise would be the Middlesex England Deeds Register, both index and the actual records. They were filmed years ago by Family Search (very poorly) and could do with being redone. The register contains millions of records for both London and Middlesex England and most people researching in England have someone in London. Also the fire insurance records in London are valuable as every property insured is described minutely.
Both sets of records are held at London Archives.

I subscribed to you and Ancestry.com…
I subscribed to you and Ancestry.com this last week and Ancestry is doing a much better job of helping me in my searching for my ancestral history. You're just OK in your services, not great. I thought, since my ancestors are so much from Ireland and England I would need your site,but it's just so much more difficult to use. The biggest disappointment currently is I see little help in finding the arrival and departures of my ancestors on their trips across and back across on the Atlantic. Or just finding records of the routes of ships my ancestors were on.

Searches are a little clunky at first
Searches are a little clunky at first, but become quicker with practice. I'd like to be able to assign reference numbers for my searches with a reference menu, over all I like the site.

A comprehensive research site
There is a comprehensive range of documents and information available, and I regularly use the site for that reason. Particularly useful were a) the digitisation of the 1921 census and b) the ability to update and correct entries in the 1939 register. The newspaper search facility is also very good - would it be possible though to link to the British Newspaper Archive? Occasionally the web pages are slow to load, but overall it is a go-to website for me!

So little is available on a basic plan
So little is available on a basic plan, yet they show you all the potential things you could view IF YOU PAY THEM MORE, and once you pay them more they show you more stuff, but hey, they want more money to see that too!!
I'd far rather they didn't make those things available in the first place, it just annoys me and to all intents and purposes the site is purely a profiteering enterprise and I don't feel good using it, cancelled subscription lkess than an hour after taking it out

We do offer different subscriptions for various levels of user on our site.
Our most basic membership is our Discover option, and allows access to all of our civil UK records as well as national census records 1841-1921 for the UK and the 1939 register.
These are important records for those just beginning their search though we do have other options with access to further records if needed.
We do also have an option to purchase individual records individually through micropayments, this can be helpful if it is just one or two records which are required.

In my opinion best for family history
Excellent website for finding out family history. They have almost everything that is digitised. You can use it to connect to second cousins that you didn't know that you had. Most of the records have been scanned so that you can check what is written on them to confirm what the transcription tells you. Very helpful website.
