DON’T GO HERE. Big NO NO. This is a FRAUD.
This place does not exist. 99% of the images and the information on the website is not from anywhere near Fereniki. Pictures and information is taken from somewhere else.
When you arrive you have to find where to check in on your own. This is not easy because the reception is in another ¨Hotel¨named Summer Beach. Even this place has no signs that show you where to go. Anyway, we stayed here 7 days , 26th of July to 2nd of aug 2025. Nightmare days.
We were accommodated in the dirtiest place you ever will find. Broken furnitures , dirty beds ,no cleaning was made before arrival nor during the stay. The bathroom was the dirtiest place ever. The floor drain in the bathroom floor was not attached to the floor so we stepped into the big hole in the floor.No working AC and so on. We immediately complained and asked for an upgrade ,but nothing was available. We found out that this apartment was a part of a building were the ¨hotel workers lived, cleaners , kitchen staff and chauffeurs. The cleaners replaced our linnens and towels with dirty ones two or three times during this week. Bugs in the beds of course.
There was no manager available anytime during the week to help.

The official website of the Fereniki Resort & Spa describes it as a 3-star beach hotel with excellent amenities… Well, nothing could be farther from the truth. The rooms are dirty and crumbling. The air conditioning system didn’t work in any of the rooms I visited. Television was not available. The Spa and the swimming pool you see on the official website are not available (receptionists say they are under construction). The Wi-Fi connection is very bad and only reaches common areas. No elevator in any area of the hotel. No room telephone to communicate with the reception. And I frequently saw dirty plates on the buffet.

Just come back from a 7 night stay at Fereniki or should I say faulty towers!
I always say when it comes to reading reviews, surely it can't be that bad, however this place was beyond bad, shocking even.
Some staff were pleasant enough but others were absolutely ignorant and patronising, I can only assume this is because they hear the complaints every minute of everyday people stay here!
The family rooms are absolutely disgusting, the bigger rooms are very basic and not cleaned properly( leftovers in fridge, major mold in bathroom,hairs in bathroom, food and bottles under the beds causing major ant problems.
The pool area is like dicing with death everytime you get up to walk around as it's marble floor, loose tiles everywhere, no covers on the filters(major ankle breaker)

It rained on a few occasions, no precautions for safety made in hotel area or restaurant area unless you think the odd mush of cardboard and a bed sheet( which will probably end up on your bed) will help, they just left puddles of water everywhere and no slip sign in sight!

People say you pay for what you get, I'm one of them but I've stayed in 3* holiday accommodation many of times but against that they should have been 5* plus!

Fereniki Holiday is as far from 3* as it comes I wouldn't even give it 1*.....it needs taking off the map! I'm shocked that any holiday provider would want to be associated with this hotel.

I with a friend had a conversation with a local in a shop whilst I was there, they are as embarrassed of this place as most, bring down the lovely place of Georgioupolis. She said the owners are millionaires and don't care about the hotel, just the money so please don't give them yours!
The images you see on the holiday provider websites aren't a true representation of the actual rooms....infact they are nothing like them!

If your reading this, you’ve probably found a cheap all inclusive deal on love holidays or one of the other sites. I’ll stop you right now, don’t do it! However tempting it is, it’s not worth it.
Firstly the rooms are old out of date and grotty to say the least , bed felt it was 20 years old and so low it may as well be on the floor.
Ok you have to pay extra for air con, that’s if you can find a room with air con that works , if you can I was told it was useless. We were promised a fan for what good that was in 36 degrees heat, turned up on day 5.
The grounds and pool area are dirty, smelly and dangerous in places, broken tiles and sharp edges around the pool area, with no drainage that works, the pool was disgusting, didn’t look like it had ever been cleaned with green scum around the edges that bad, someone had written “dirty” in with their finger nail.
The staff were very varied , one lady seemed to just say whatever to please you so you will leave the reception, they were very rude if you had a complaint and wanted it dealt with.
The food was “ok” quite bland but edible tho I suspect it serves a few different hotels in the close proximity.
The drinks are what it says on the Tin , beer wine n pop,
If your happy with a smelly uncomfortable sweat pit then this is right up your street.
But seriously don’t do it! just save an extra few quid and go elsewhere, the island is beautiful so don’t ruin the experience by going to this cretin version of faulty towers.
And one last thing , don’t believe what you see that they publish. They are either carefully manipulated or blatantly false!

Firstly, I am giving 1 star as unable to leave 0. This hotel is a stark contrast to the beauty and hospitality that Crete offers that even the locals apologise. I only booked as it was either this or no holiday, and would advise not to come. More people than not have moved rooms or even moved to different hotels.

- The pool is so dirty that someone even wrote the word ‘dirty’ in the scum around the pool
- Rooms are not cleaned, only towels changed if lucky and they fold the top sheet but do not change the bedding (my sheet had a mark so I can tell it is the same one)
- Air conditioning does not work and is charged at 5 euros per day
- They have one fan for the whole hotel as replacement for air conditioning, despite promising to provide a fan to people daily
- Management seems to have no interest in improving conditions
- Bathroom tiles needed replacing a decade ago
- Balconies are small and unsafe
- Towels were eventually changed but left with dirty ones as opposed to clean
- Extremely slippy on the old tiles next to the pool

There in no standard of cleanliness, and we were lucky enough to have a better room. I would not return nor would I recommend.
