Jacob Harley-Beckett’s rude and…

Jacob Harley-Beckett’s rude and unprofessional conduct at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre Solihull on 20 October 2026 was unacceptable. His changing explanations, incorrect accusations towards us and refusal to seek a reasonable resolution demonstrated poor judgement and a serious lack of customer care.

His approach appeared inconsistent with Everyone Active’s values of inclusion, respect and integrity. This experience caused unnecessary discomfort, undermined our trust and jeopardised our intention to purchase membership for three adults.

I urge Head Office to address these serious concerns and review the standards of customer service demonstrated. In contrast, Zack Williamson’s helpful, considerate and professional response was greatly appreciated.

Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with Everyone Active, particularly Eversley Leisure Centre.

Didn't get my refund.
Staff are rude.
It's like a youth club staff sitting around.

I joined specifically wanting access to both Eversley and Basildon Sporting Village, only to discover that my membership did not provide what I understood I had signed up for.

My first appointment with a personal trainer was equally disappointing. She arrived 15–20 minutes late, offered no apology and was dismissive when I raised the issue.

I decided to cancel my membership and request a refund. What followed was an appalling experience of being passed between Eversley, Basildon and Wickford, with nobody taking responsibility.

The worst experience was with Courtney, the Sales Manager at Eversley, who accused me of "moaning at other centres" and threatened to stop dealing with me if I continued raising my concerns. I found her attitude rude, unprofessional and completely unacceptable.

The atmosphere among staff at Eversley also left me seriously questioning the standard of management and supervision.

The one exception has been Kerry at Wickford, who has been courteous, helpful and genuinely concerned about resolving the situation.

I have now escalated my complaint directly to Everyone Active's Managing Director and Basildon Borough Council.

Customers should not have to fight to obtain a refund or be spoken to disrespectfully simply for questioning poor service.

Everyone Active needs to take a serious look at its management, staff training and customer service standards at Eversley.

I certainly would not recommend this centre based on my experience.

Rating relates to management team responses

The gym facilities and classes are good, however, the management team are reluctant and resistance to change that will benefit customers. I had a recent case where I inadvertently left my rings on the wristband that housed the locker key and although the user was located, nothing constructive was done to investigate whether he had my rings in his locker. Initially I sent a soft complaint, however this has been escalated following a manager trying to blame me for not requesting to see him on the day of the incident, yet in an earlier conversation he questioned why the staff member on the day had not called for his presence - as he was available. I have requested that notices are put in the changing rooms re: theft or lost items, so that users know what to do if they are affected. Also internet links to the same procedures. Also cameras adjacent to lockers - other branches have them. These have been rejected, as they have no evidence that there is an issue at their gym with thefts. If they had said they would conduct a survey, this would at least be a way of establishing a need. In addition, why be reactive instead of proactive! The way my complaint has been dealt with is poor - although the manager has apologised but is insisting his staff are fully aware of what to do when faced with theft or lost property. I have escalated the complaint further, as I feel I have exhausted my written communication with Sapphire Ice and Leisure in Romford.

No words. Awful.

No words.

Let’s make this easy, especially with regards to Studley Leisure Centre:
Consistency …..0
Empathy…….0
Quality of swimming lessons…….1
Staff getting back to you……0
Direct debit information……0
Desire to do the right/decent thing……0

All I’d say is BEWARE!! Especially if you’re thinking of swimming lessons for very young children or signing up to any form of Direct Debit.

Amazing customer service

Had an amazing customer experience off an Ellis who was great on the phone, she didn’t pressure me or made me feel like I had to set up. Answered any daft questions I had. I felt comfortable talking to her. Great customer service

I have only been to the swimming pool.its outstanding. The main pool has sloping steps for you to walk down and there is a lift for people with disabilities.
The cafe has a very good selection of hot and cold foods.
All the staff I met were friendly and helpful.
I fully recommend this centre to everyone.
Swimming for OAP.was £4.60.for an hour
You need a pound for your locker.

Thanks.

The Harrow Lodge Center while new is…

The Harrow Lodge Center while new is run very poorly.
Mansgement is never visible or available, reception staff cant answer simple queries. Emails are generic reaponses instead of actually taking the customer views on point.

Swim class is waste of money.
App cancels classes with hidden charges later in emails, ignored my management.

I had a back injury and started going in July, with so much excited to get well. But the place a money grabbing pit.
Such a shame because the class instructors are actually lovely, but the management is awful.

This review is about the Everyone…

This review is about the Everyone Active website. I was about to award "Worst website on the planet" to HMRC but then I started to make bookings at my local leisure centre with Everyone Active. If a site was deliberately constructed in such a way as to put people off making bookings, then this one is a great success. Never have I come across a more complicated booking system. I normally book a 10.30 public swim on a Friday, which normally takes me over 10 minutes - so as usual I tried to make a booking, after as usual having scroll down dozens of different sessions on different days, rather than just selecting your session and day! But it offered me 2pm only. Never mind I thought, I'll go next week, but just to double check, I went into the search box, searched for Public Swim, Friday mornings. It offered me Fast Lane Swims on Monday. Nice. Then a side bar "Quick Book" appeared saying 'Publc Swim Friday' so I clicked on it and it offered me 10.30 on Friday. Everyone Active deserve the Worst Website award but I get an award for perseverance

I have just started at Leighton Buzzard gym and am very impressed with the whole centre. The gym is large and comprehensive and is able to serve both novices and experienced gym members. A lovely swimming pool and cafe. Plenty of classes available.

A new member's view

I recently became a member of the Fareham Everyone Active Leisure Centre. The induction was very good and helpful and gave me a good grounding as to the various activities that are available there. The staff are so helpful and the centre is very clean. There are many classes to choose from. There is a swimming pool, a gym and a lovely cafe. There is also a large sports hall but unfortunately at the moment there isn't an over 65's 5 a side facility available but I am hopeful that will change. The Padel4all is alongside the centre and there is plenty of free parking. Add this to the lovely location within the Park Lane Recreation Area and there is plenty of choice for 'everyone to get active'!!

My wife and I play pickle on Tuesday…

My wife and I play pickle on Tuesday evenings, this particular evening (06/10/26) there was a body pump class on the opposite side of the curtain which started 5 minute's after we started, the music was extremly loud (85db measured on phone) we literally could not communicate across the court, other people playing pickle and badminton complained about the same issue, I went to reception and informed them of the problem, the noise (music and shouting) continued for another 40 minutes, the noise was reduced to 82db but was still way to loud. At the end of our session we (and others on the courts) complained to reception and aked for our money back or a session the following week free, the receptionist was appolagetic and said she had no authority to do that, she then called the manager, he stated it was only for that week? we asked what he could do, he stated he would have to inform his manager tommorrow? he basically could not be bothered and was quite rude, we said dont you want our names? and he gave us a peice of paper and said put them on there, to say he was unhelpfull is an understatement, we asked him if he had done a risk assessment regarding noise levels? he said nothing and just stared at us. On Wednesday I phoned the leasure centre, the receptionist, she knew nothing about it but would ask the manager, she put me on hold, she came back and said he was not available? but she took my phone number (member of gym and golf) and said someone will contact you tommorrow (Thursday) surprise surprise no phone call.Since taking over everyone actives APP has not worked in regards to booking courts, and the comminication is poor we pay good money to go to the gym and to play golf so we expect a decent level of service! refund or a free court booking would be suitable appoligy and send your manager to a "how to handle customers course".
Quick update-its been a week since my experience, no communication from everyone active? my wife asked about it when she went to gym, they said someone will definitely contact you???? no wonder this company gets such bad reviews.
No contact by Everyone Active?? I was informed by other people who complained to go on Facebook, they will respond (they got a free booking) we asked why at the centre no one had contacted us and that people complaining through Facebook had a response? the receptionist said she would talk to the manager (different manager) she came back and gave us a free booking for Pickle. So dont bother raising a concern go straight to Facebook obviously they take more notice of social media.

Above and beyond

A huge thank you to the team, and in particular lifeguard Chris, for being so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I recently visited with my daughter-in-law—who currently has a fractured leg—to take her 11-month-old for a swim. The staff showed total understanding and flexibility to ensure our visit was safe, smooth, and enjoyable. Outstanding customer service!
