Big bag of premium soil is GARBAGE!

Bought their “premium” soil in one of those big yellow bags,
That “soil” was completely sterile and dead… wouldn’t even absorb water for over a week…

Had the soil tested and found it to be completely devoid of anything useful to growing plants….
Owner just dismissed it and refused to rectify.

Had to remove and dispose of the “premium” soil at a landfill.

Never again.

Eagle Lake Alberta Gold Garden Soil

This review is reviewing the Big Yellow Bag - Alberta Gold Black Garden Soil. Service was great, bags are easy to unload, just the product (Alberta Gold Black Garden Soil) is not what is advertised. The 'soil' comprised of a lot of wood chips, compost, and some garbage including glass and hard plastic, very little black soil. We used it to top dress our lawn as advertised and suggested by Eagle Lake, big mistake! Like I said, consists of a lot of wood chip and we found glass on our lawn after spreading it out. We ordered 6 bags and they were all the same. After a phone call they said maybe some of their mulch blew into mix, not likely. More likely they are misrepresenting their soil and trying to increase margins by selling a crappy product. DON'T USE Alberta Gold Black Garden Soil ON YOUR LAWN!
