worst customer service.
so on june 3rd i purchased 2 dresses from this store and i decided to keep the one i wore and return the other i didnt wear. when trying to return one of them on june 11th, the associate questioned why i wanted to make the return. i simply explained to her that i bought 2 dresses and decided to keep the other for my event so i want to return the other. the associate proceeded to inspect the quality of the dress and said she cannot accept the return because of the damages. I NEVER WORE THE DRESS OUT THOUGH!!!
i explained to her that i also wanted to return the dress too because of the faulty stitching at the top (which i noticed AFTER purchasing the dress, therefore it was not my doing since i never wore the dress out. the ruined stitching was only visible when you dig into the ruffles at the neckline, which is why i did not notice it at first glance).
the associate then flipped the bottom of the dress inside out and revealed stains that I WAS ALSO NOT AWARE OF when purchasing it. so at that very moment, i was even more frustrated that i purchased an item that was already very damaged without my prior knowledge of the damages before the purchase.
considering the revealed damages, i am certain that the dress i purchased had to be returned from a previous customer, and the associate who administered that return most likely did not inspect the dress to see the defects.
thus some other customer must have worn the dress and returned it with the damages. and their associates accepted it and sold me the damaged dress.
but what i was insulted by the most was that the associate proceeded to question me accusatorially and said "so you bought the dress even though it was damaged then?" as if it was my fault that i didn't initially flip the neckline ruffles inside out to reveal damaged stitching?!?? or that it's somehow my fault that i didn't flip the bottom of the dress inside out and check for stains before purchasing it?!? i naturally don't flip my clothes inside out before purchasing clothes because as a customer, i trust that the items i purchase from the store are good quality. in this case, it CLEARLY WAS NOT. THEY WERE THE ONES who sold me a faulty/defected dress. i simply tried to return the dress in the EXACT SAME STATE that i bought it! and yet im the one who can't get a refund even though THEY sold me a damaged dress?!??
goes to show the blatant inconsistencies and lack of accountability from their employees, and the lack of consideration for their customers.
i repeatedly tried to relay to them that i absolutely DID NOT wear the dress out at all. the associate was emphasizing that they can't accept damaged items- which is contradicting because they obviously do if they accepted this dress as a return with the flaws from the customer before me- then later sold me that same damaged dress. like huh????
i'm a loyal customer here so i do not appreciate the fact that i was sold a damaged dress without my knowledge, and that the associate insinuated that it was my doing that the dress was ruined even though i NEVER WORE IT OUT! the tags were attached and everything- the dress was in the shopping bag the whole time it was in my possession, because i wore the other dress i purchased instead.
i used to shop here all the time but moving forward, i refuse to give my business to a store that lacks accountability and treats customers this unfairly.
since the associate was stern that i could not get a refund, i asked the associate for store credit at least but she said she was unable to do that too.
i'm very unhappy with the customer service and for being a victim of purchasing a damaged dress from here when i never wore it out, and i could not get my refund considering.
i'm not one to complain but this was absolutely unacceptable. please do better.
Bought a dress, tried it on at home and did not like it. Went to return it and they would not accept it back because the cashier put down the wrong pattern of the dress on the receipt. Now I am stuck with a 100$ dress that does not suit me one bit because the employees made a mistake and the store and manager won't do anything about it.
Dynamite leaves me satisfied all the time! The collection is always great, the service is nice and probably the only store left with normal sizing.
The store was beautiful the products were all available in multiple styles. The staff were friendly and helpful
The change room staff were rude and unhelpful. No customer service whatsoever.
There are no short lengths in pants and jeans when I shop in store, even online they were out of stock
Very disappointed. Received items with security tag still attached. Was planning on wearing the outfit for an event and was not able to, and now I have to travel to a store location to have tag removed. Needless to say very inconvenient and poor quality control.
The change room attendant Hannah was great and attentive, she was able to get other sizes for me very quickly and was very encouraging.
Very good experience.
I went into the store and did a walk through without finding anything to suit my body type. One of the sales associates asked me if I needed help and I told her all the tops were too short and not for me. She went through the store with me and I ended up trying on about 8 tops and purchased 4 of them. I believe her name was Riley. She was so incredibly helpful and I would love her help for future visits. I like the quality of the clothing and the style, but for women who don’t have perfect bodies, the selection can be limited.
Clothing is true to size and delivery is extremely quick.
Love the quality of everything I’ve ordered,
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Dynamite, particularly at the Eaton Centre location.
On May 15, I purchased a dress for $158.14. When I got home, I tested the zipper and discovered it was defective and became stuck, making the dress completely unwearable. Unfortunately, this meant I could not wear it for my graduation.
I still had the receipt and one of the original tags attached to the dress; only the external price tag had been removed. Since I was leaving for Italy the following day, I asked a friend to return the dress on my behalf. She was initially told that a refund could not be processed without the price tag and that I should contact customer service.
After providing customer service with photos of the dress, tags, and receipt, I was advised that my friend could return to the store to process the refund. However, when she returned, the store refused again. I then spoke directly with the store manager by phone and was shocked by the interaction. The manager was dismissive, rude, and accused me of being dishonest rather than attempting to resolve the issue. Despite customer service's guidance, the store refused both a refund and an exchange.
What is most frustrating is that the dress was clearly defective, never worn, and I made every reasonable effort to resolve the situation. The lack of communication between customer service and store management, combined with the poor treatment I received, left me feeling completely undervalued as a long-time customer.
I have always enjoyed shopping at Dynamite, but this experience has significantly damaged my trust in the brand. For a $158 dress that I was never able to wear, I expected much better customer service and a fair resolution. I hope Dynamite takes steps to improve communication between its stores and customer service teams and treats future customers with greater respect. Thank you
The sales girl who assisted me was bright, smiling, and knowledgeable. She told me she had purchased this before and told me how it really fit. It was a gift, so I was very pleased with her 1:1 great service.
The customer service was amazing. She understood my needs and which styles fit my body type. The summer clothing is beautiful and great quality.
Staff were very attentive , genuinely friendly and sourced out a dress that actually suited me
Collections are modern , coordinated, suit all versions of women and well displayed for viewing
Wish I had the cashiers name. Girl was so rude and dismissive. Barely made eye contact. Almost zero conversation except for “do you wanna bag, it’s 25 cents?” Gave me my bad without a word.
I get we should all wear what we want but this girl looked like she worked in a low grade trashy shop with her stomach sticking right out.
I actually liked what I purchased but because of the crap service, I will be going back to do a return.
Not going to support anywhere with such bad service anymore.
The associate was helpful in finding what I was looking for as well as the cashier was helpful in answering my inquiries
