Tried to use this, primarily for its security features, but just so much else is missing. First, I have minor sight problems so the ability to change text size and font is important. But there... See more

Best search engine and browser
It's faster than Google and a much better experience. It's not collecting data. Just the facts.
I use their Android browser and that's also fast and private.
Highly recommended.
I love love DuckDuckGo
I love, love DuckDuckGo. I recommend it a lot to friends and family. And I do not understand all the negative reviews. I used to get 150+ spam emails daily. Now it’s down to about 50. But I’m not sure if the tracker blocker is the reason. It could be the VPN. To be sure, DDG is worth every penny. Security is a HUGE issue. People and companies butting in daily where they have not been asked is so incredibly rude. I have no problem with their search engine. I did a couple years ago but not anymore. And a note to complainers about AI. Get off your duffs and do the research yourself instead of extreme laziness. AI is to aid in research. Not do it all for you.
Simply the best available
Simply the best available , no adds , didn't track , stops intrusive trackers . It has a VPN which I haven't yet used but overall it is easily the best one can get.
Google Definitely Better Than Duck Duck Go
Can't say that I am impressed with the DuckDuckGo search engine. The Duck.ai is no where near as good as Google AI.
So for now I am sticking with Google. Damned the privacy issues. Full speed ahead.
There's no option to translate pages…
There's no option to translate pages directly.
They offer crap Ai , and there's not even a basic page translation function.
Duckduck go is oppressive
This engine is among the worst online bullies. It abuses you with maliciousness moreso than assists you with a service. Everything about it is unpleasant. Its AI is too stupid to be of any help and, like all other online artificially intelligent bots, it lies to protect society's most heinous, such as the insanely greedy who are destroying our planet and our children's future. AI is a silly, too unready concept, but the world is nowadays run by the young without older, wiser mentors to correct their silly mistakes. Duckduckgo is best avoided.
Duck.ai
I have used DDG on the web for years and like it. But I just tried Duck.ai and its terrible.
I tried DDG web browser and the browser…
I tried DDG web browser and the browser itself works OK. Its built off a Microsoft Edge webview2 which allows apps to use Edge as their UI wrapper. So its not exactly a Chromium based browser. Search is DDG claim to fame. I don't find a privacy focused web search that great. There is a advantage in Google search track your searches for better results. I always seemed to end up using Google search when DDG search returned rather vague and irrelevant results. If privacy is your main goal you may find the less specific search results a acceptable trade off. I just accept the worse search results for the privacy angle.
Good engine
Good engine, simple interface.
Privacy is the real highlight.
Results is not very helpful
Search results is not very helpful. It showing many unrelated topics under a search. They need to crawl more information from the web.

You are going to get ads on whatever site you are on. I prefer to get ads on things that I am interested in rather than ads that I have no interest in.
I genuinely like Duckduckgo
I genuinely like Duckduckgo, I have written reviews before about how much I like it, I like the privacy and especially the app tracking protection, it seems like there's all kinds of places that want to track you, it's nice having that protection, I do feel the search results could be better but all in all I'm very satisfied with Duckduckgo, I really don't like Google so I'll continue to use Duckduckgo for the foreseeable future.
DuckDuckGo Bye Bye (AI pushers)
duckduckgo used to work well. now, they are spamming us NON STOP with AI garbage that by definition revokes ALL PRIVACY. do not use duckduckgo. whatever they once were is now ancient history. now they are just aggressive AI pushers. cheers
It needs further development!
I installed this duckgogo app on my android phone because I wanted a secure browser, and features like password and data storage, and the ability to block trackers is a bonus. This browser has a very simple design. However, it's frequently temperamental, either it wouldn't connect and had to be closed by force and restarted before it would connect. While the password and data storage is provided, it's cumbersome to use, because you need to acknowledge the prompt whether you want to use the saved password and then provide biometric fingerprint for each and every sites. Considering it's being used on a phone, which is a personal item, it's a bit daunting & needless repetition. Moreover, sometimes the password is not available because it's stuck at trying to connec to a site. Also, no exit or close tab button, and every site is opened up on a new tab instead of the same tab (no way of customising this). The "App tracking protection is enabled" banner took up nearly a quarter of the homepage and cannot be turned off. If a tab is closed, an undo message is plastered across the screen in the way of other tab, which then requires an unnecessary swipe to clear, (no option to disable this). It has good features, alias poorly implemented. I feel it's at its infancy and requires further development to make it more user-friendly.
In terms of search engine... don't bother. It won't give you what you asked for most of the time.
I had duck go for years
I had duck go for years, and I had to reload it, completely wiped out all my schooling stuff from 10 years. its gone. the new version became available, It was causing a lot of problems in my browser after downloading, even other devices i had hotspot to., and now this. Seems like no matter what or who you trust is just a kick in the gut. Got to trust in God alone

I tried DuckDuckGo and was very disappointed! You had to go through page after page after page before you could ever get anything done as far as a search! What a waste of my time
Claims of high speed slow down the process
I wanted to use the browser so opened it and rather than letting me use the thing it started warbling on about how quick it was. Don't waste my time with this garbage, I want the browser! Slowing me down by telling me how fast it is, what a joke!
DO NOT USE Duck.com’s email service
I am writing this review to express my serious disappointment with Duck.com’s secure and private email service.
Approximately two weeks ago, I contacted Duck.com support through the official channels indicated on their own website. To date, I have not received any response, acknowledgment, or solution.
I had subscribed to their secure and private email forwarding service and later discovered, without any prior notice or clear communication, that email forwarding had been suspended. As a result, messages sent by multiple companies and services to the protected Duck.com email address I had used are no longer being forwarded at all.
This situation has caused significant and potentially irreversible damage, as important communications have been silently lost. What is most concerning is not only the failure of the service itself, but the complete absence of support or follow-up for more than two weeks, despite having formally requested assistance.
This experience has led to extreme disappointment and a loss of trust in a company that I genuinely expected to be serious, reliable, and professional, especially given its public positioning around privacy and user protection.
At this point, I cannot recommend Duck.com’s email service. I was using it very little, and after this experience, I will never use it again.

In theory it is a great site but in practice it's utterly useless and uses 1980s technology. Updating the app doesn't improve it. It only make it worse. A chocolate tea pot is better.
