Purchased a Draper petrol mower in the summer from Homebase. Machine used twice before the pull seized and rendered the machine useless.
Following much back forth with Homebase, Draper advised that the machine needed to be emptied of fuel/oil, boxed and returned to them for assessment. The mower was returned a week later on a 4ftx4ft pallet which the courier refused to take away.
On testing the mower a week later, the same fault appeared. My question to Draper - was the the fault ever repaired or are your repairs department completely incompetent.
Fast forward two weeks, 50+ emails later between Homebase/Draper/myself the machine was collected on 26/11 (again contents removed & re boxed) for Inspection by Draper. We have made it categorically clear we want a refund NOT another repair.
On chasing Homebase have advised the mowers been lost in transit.
The incompetentance of both Homebase and Draper is astonishing. My advice - do not purchase motorised products online as when they go wrong you are reliant on distant customer services who show little/no customer care! Homebase blame Draper, Draper blame Homebase - same bird, different wing.
I am now in the process of filing a report to Trading standards in a hope they can persue my refund and ensure Homebase/Draper start adhering to distant selling regs.

I bought a Garden Caddy from Draper Tools and abused it by using it to transport all kinds of items across local paths & roads to and from my allotment on a daily basis for the most part of a year. Understandably the wheels, being plastic and not designed for road use, wore out.
I asked Draper Tools for advice on replacement wheels and they responded very quickly, offering to replace the wheels free of charge. Now that's what I call good customer service. I'm a happy bunny and will certainly use this firm again.

I bought this welder to use for welding car body panels thin metal nothing heavy and I have used it a couple of times now and really disappointed it just doesn’t seem to want to weld right it just blows holes in the metal I’ve tried all the adjustments wire feed is good but the heat circle nob no matter what way you turn it it makes no difference I even had my brother in law have a go and he is a welder and he couldn’t make it work either I feel I just wasted my money and would have been better buy Chinese cause this thing is absolutely terrible

I recently purchased, through an auction, a Draper wall mounted fan. I was disappointed to find no remote control. After searching the Internet to no avail I contacted Draper customer services. What a fortunate step that turned out to be. Gina, bless her, came up with an alternative remote control. Sent it to me in record time, and may I say, Free of charge 😉. The remote worked perfectly. Thank you Draper customer services, but more to the point, a huge thank you to Gina, an absolute gem, top marks to Draper Customer Services.

Having previously come up against some issues with draper Tools service, I'm delighted to say that no such worries this time around.
I was dealt with by Gina and she was brilliant, went the extra mile to ensure that what I needed to resolve my issue was met, and really made a difference to the situation.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and as a result I had to leave my employment after almost 40 years work. I was advised to keep my mind active to help me through this period, so I invested in a wood lathe. I
Purchased the Compact Digital Variable Speed Wood Lathe, 550W (60989), from Draper tools via an agent but after an issue with the tool rest breaking, I discovered the agent was no longer trading, so I was redirected to Draper . They replaced the faulty item as it was under warranty. I then had more issues, tail stock seizing, digital display not showing, cam shaft on tool rest not securing,and a few others ,which I put down to "fair wear and tear ",and I fixed these issues myself at my own cost, but now the motor on this lathe has completely stopped and in order for Draper to replace the item, they want me to pay for shipping back to them,(approx
£120 ) and they will charge me £30 per hour for an engineer to repair it, EVEN THOUGH IT IS STILL WITHIN THE 2 YEAR PERIOD.... this is definitely not the customer service I expected and from my experience, I would caution anyone considering buying this, or any other item, from Draper tools

My hedge trimmer delivered a fault within its 12 month warranty - Reported fault and asked to send invoice and on the same day received email immediately saying my information had been received and within an hour the matter was resolved very fairly.
