A lovely class
This was a lovely class run by Leanne I really enjoyed it
It had a really chilled and friendly vibe and it was nice to meet other mums and their babies
Leanne was very knowledgeable about baby massage and provided us with a lot of information so we could do the massages ourselves at home
Would highly recommend
Best decision I’ve ever made ♥️
Having Leanne as our doula for the birth of our first child was the best decision I’ve ever made. From the very first meeting it was clear that she was going to be a perfect fit. I had an existing phobia of hospitals and having heard too many stories from friends who had felt their births were interfered with, leaving them with birth trauma, I felt I needed someone who would be confident enough to advocate for me when needed and would respect my desire to give birth at home and to remain in control of my choices. With Leanne, I got exactly that.
She is a calm, confident and caring presence that instantly put me at ease. She went above and beyond the call of duty; lending me books on physiological birth, treating me with lovely gifts and always being on hand to answer any questions I had during my pregnancy.
As the big day drew nearer, she helped us to write our detailed birth plan, and attended the home birth consultation with our community midwife. She sorted us out with the birth pool as well as a variety of comfort measures to use before, during and after the birth which were all incredibly useful.
I was 11 days ‘overdue’ and was coming face to face with induction conversations which really stressed me out. Leanne helped me to remain calm & confident in my choices when I was feeling the pressure, which ultimately led me to go into spontaneous labour the following morning.
Leanne arrived when I was in active labour and I instantly knew I was going to have an amazing birth. She helped my partner set everything up and continuously held the space which meant my partner could stay with me and be my emotional rock throughout. I learned afterwards that she also kept him calm and encouraged him when he needed it most.
When I was struggling physically, she offered me remedies, when I was struggling emotionally, she reminded me of my strength. When the midwives arrived, she informed them with all they needed to know.
Leanne was our guardian, and I had my dream birth experience because of it.
Leanne even stayed after we’d gone to bed and tidied the space so it was reset for when we came down the following morning, which was such a blessing.
I am now sat writing this with my beautiful daughter in my arms, in the room in my home where she was born, filled with gratitude for Leanne that will last a lifetime.
In the words of my partner, ‘She came in, did God’s work, and left. She is the ultimate fairy birth mother.’ ♥️
Beautiful Baby Massage
I thoroughly enjoyed the baby massage class. Leanne is friendly, calm and so incredibly patient. The class was very relaxing and taught me a beautiful way to create extra bonding with my daughter. We use the techniques nearly every day. I would highly recommend this course!
Baby Massage Workshop
We enjoyed a baby massage workshop with Leanne last Tuesday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the session. The room was set up really nicely and Leanne had even provided cold water and snacks for us to nibble on. These were very much appreciated! The information and instructions provided for the massage techniques were clear and Leanne was happy to go over anything again if we were unsure. She tailored the session to meet our babies needs and to accommodate time for a feed. She was warm and friendly and really made us feel welcome in her home. Great experience and a really lovely family activity for baby, husband and myself. Thank you! We will definitely be adding baby massage to our daily routine.
Just Amazing!
Where do I start? I found Leanne through Sam’s freebirth course on Facebook. Reflecting on the birth of my first daughter I realised having people in my birth space affected me so began exploring freebirth. I knew I would feel more comfortable having a doula as someone to support abs reassure who was familiar with physiological birth. Quite late in my pregnancy I reached out to a few doulas and found leanne. After the first call my husband and I knew she was the one for us. We had several video calls to discuss what we wanted and my birth plan. Leanne had a wealth of knowledge and evidence based research which was do helpful. After any tricky appointments she was there to discuss and help me make informed decisions based on evidence rather than NHS protocols. My baby was born at home with my husband and daughter present with leanne on video but the birth and a few hours after. Her support, guidance and never ending belief in me and my body was something I feel so fortunate to have found 🥰 my 10lb 7 baby was born at 42 weeks exactly and I feel blessed leanne shared that with us. I highly recommend - thank you!
So what can i say about Leanne
So what can i say about Leanne, firstly what a little ray of sunshine she is. I am currently completing my doula course and Leanne has helped fill me with confidence and is supporting me in a way in which nothing is too much hassle, which therefore is helping with the ease of the completion of the course. Leanne's background of being a nurse truly shows in her kind, caring and empathetic nature, this shows when she is supporting me as it instantly gives me a new found confidence and ability to be able to complete the course effectively. Anybody would be lucky to have Leanne (douladiary) as their doula. Leanne is such an inspiration and if i was half the doula she is i will be very happy. Thanks again for all your support Leanne :) xx

The lovely Leanne was my birthing…
The lovely Leanne was my birthing partner nearly 5 years ago - before she started training to be a Doula - and even without any previous experience she was an absolutely amazing support throughout my whole birthing process (pregnancy through to birth). I could not have done it without her! Leanne attended my appointments with me and was constantly researching the different stages of my pregnancy as the weeks went on to ensure she knew how to support me best. Leanne made me feel so so comfortable throughout the whole of my labour and made sure my needs were tended to - she even provided strawberries for my cravings 👀🍓 I can honestly say my whole pregnancy journey would not of been the same without Leanne there by my side - especially at the birth! I can’t recommend her services enough 💗

You hire a birth doula for many…
You hire a birth doula for many reasons. Leanne provides physical and emotional support leading up to birth, at birth and afterwards. Leanne is so professional, and the level of information she has at her finger tips is invaluable. Nothing is too much trouble and she tailors her approach to what you need in that moment.
