Very disappointing experience. DirectFerries.dk shows tickets as available for days, while the actual ferry operator clearly shows they are not. I made a reservation hoping they could sell the ticket, only to be informed an hour later that it was unavailable - something they must have known beforehand! There is no clear warning during booking that availability is not guaranteed, and on top of that, customers are forced to click through extra steps just to get a refund. Extremely frustrating and misleading.

I had to move my departure and made a timely request to do so.
But direct ferries circled me around between chatbots and various employees until the time for making the change had passed.
They argue that they send me an e-mail with a request for a change fee. I never received and they never followed up. Just dragged time until the original ferry time had passed and then refused change my ticket.
Lowest level of customer support I have seen.
I recommend booking directly with Scanlines or whatever relevant ferry company.

Trying to amend a booking, travelling with one less passenger on one leg of the journey, but nowhere on the website to amend just one part, has to amend it all. Tried the chat bot as you cant talk to a human on the phone. completely useless and so much time wasted, on the chat bot, it takes so much longer than just speaking to someone. It may be cheaper for companies to use this option instead of employing a person to answer calls but it doesnt work and the chat bots are not good enough yet to rely on fully. going round in circles.

🚨Avoid with all cost..charge doublefor amending dates. I have been quoted more or less the same price to change dates to what I paid..works out cheaper to for a new booking.

i have tried to make a booking this morning and several times the system toll me than my payments failed
after the third times with different card, i checked with my bank and realised than all 3 payments was taken but NO comfirmation booking arrived
when i try to contact them, no human respense available and i'm still in complete limbo after having paying 3 booking for 1 trip and no booking made troughout their website

Terrible and fraudulent business.
No customer service is available, only a chat bot that doesn't work.
We bought the "cancel for any reason" which in it itself was pretty expensive, but when we happened upon a situation where we actually had to cancel, they would not give our money back

I'm very dissatisfied with the service. I bought a ticket from Denmark to Norway with a friend at the same time. She received confirmation immediately, but two days later I received a confirmation that there was no ferry. There were one-way tickets available for over £1,000. I had to travel through Sweden to Norway. I bought a second ticket for the return from Norway on August 2nd. Now I want to change the date to an earlier date and have been waiting 24 hours for a response. You can't call, only email. You're a company that doesn't know how to serve people well. This is the worst agent I've ever dealt with.

Similar to other customers of Direct Ferries, the lack of communication other than a 'BOT' going round in circles trying to receive a confirmation email for my ferry crossing. The fare for the crossing has been taken from my bank. Very frustrating no live chat, no email, no telephone contact. Do I have a booking? What is the booking number? How do I get my mony back?

Booked a Ferry from Cairnryan to Larne. Arrived at the port to be told that I should have been notified by Direct Ferries 3 weeks ago that the ferry I booked was freight only as it broke down. Some notification would have been nice after over 2 hours driving to get to Cairnryan. Won’t ever be using this website again

So Direct ferries i surgest that you are calling the above phone number for a confirmation and then send my e-mail.
Sincerely i have done your job so now please fo the rest.
Your IBot have started a case but i seems that your ticket team have no idea what they are doing, they have send an e-mail but it most have endet in outer space😒

Easy to book. Having a bit of a hard time to find the ferry at the port since there were many different companies. But that was not direct ferries fault.
