Worth the Wait
My size of pocket door was out of stock but well worth the wait. I thought the unit was expensive until I saw the finished article. Claira was super helpful when I asked about a part. Delighted.
Prompt delivery, item exactly as advertised, good value for money
The item I purchased online arrived on time and was well packed. The quality of the item is high and is exactly as advertised. It fully meets my needs. Very likely I'll return to DirectDoors for additional purchases.
Lovely oak door
Thought the door was a little pricey, but when it arrived was well worth it
Very heavy solid oak door
Not fit for purpose and appalling customer service
We have recently converted a garage into a home office and ordered what we thought were solid oak external doors from this company. They were fitted and stained following the instructions. It turns out they were veneer and the Ronseal product used made the veneer split and warp. They leak around the glass pains. There was nothing in the instructions to warn against this product and DirectDoors have denied all liability referring to small print saying that all customers should ring the manufacturer of the treatment before applying! Indeed it wasn't even clear they were veneer. These Cottage oak doors were clearly not fit for external use and the instructions were poor. The company's customer service was appalling and they have attempted to blame us for their poor quality product and refused to give a refund or replacement. It took weeks to get a response and they kept asking for more information to try to find an excuse to avoid liability. The doors were £1700. We will be reporting them to trading standards. Do NOT buys doors from here.

I will use Directdoors.com again
The website is good and the descriptions are excellent. I was able to select what I needed and have the items delivered without issue or delay.
Great doors, great service
Was delivered in time to requested instructions. Great quality doors and furniture. Have dealt with DD before and will continue to do so in the future.
Website excellent and useful
Website excellent, order process easy, very prompt delivery,
Ordered a door in October, still not received.
Ordered and paid for a door in October and we still haven’t received. We were originally told November, then December and now after I had to call to chase that it won’t be delivered now until January. We were also told we couldn’t get money back as it’s a bespoke door so now just have to wait. Such poor customer service from managing expectations to lack of communication to getting the impression they just don’t care now they have our money.

Internal doors 05.12.22 ref 59536
From ordering to delivery the service is 1st class. The two doors ordered are quality products. I would definitely recommend this company.
Great Doors lots of choice
great website and easy to order esp bespoke door sizes. Have not received product yet.
So sad we bought a Prefinished Fake Suffolk External Oak Door
So sad we bought a
Prefinished Suffolk External Oak Door
1981x838mm (£795.14), only 6 months, the door start to rot in the bottom, we found that it is not a solid oak wood door, it was an engineered composite door and the Prefinished just laminate for the MDF.
Highly not recommended!
Hi Emma, thanks for your quick responsed, as your mentioned, so you agreed that is misleading from your website! Anyway I will send you the photos.

Good quality door stops
Very pleased with the variety of door stops to choose from. Purchased several anodised wall mounted and one floor fixed. They all arrived promptly and well packaged - looking good now they’re all fitted. Thanks very much.
(Although I was offered vouchers to post a review, I had already posted a positive review elsewhere and their offer hadn’t influenced me)
Wish I had read these reviews before I…
Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased a door and frame for a £1000. After 20 years as a carpenter I can honestly say this I the worst I've ever seen. After being sent a replacement which was no better. This company is just a middle man to a sub standard manufacturer. They don't care about what they're supplying or have any idea about what they're selling. STAY WELL CLEAR! THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN BY TRADING STANDARDS!

Terrible customer service/ low quality product
Do not waste your money with this online retailer, if you have any issues, which by looking at other reviews now theres a strong posibility you will!! You will get nothing back from them except excuses of why they cant replace or repair, and then they will blame you for why they will not fix/ compensate you once they have your "returns form".
Ours was because we did not treat the door before it was hanged.
The door was hanged for 24 hours, and ourselves and our builders knew in the morning the issue was with the low quality of the materials and a manufactouring fault of the door.(their was no glue behind the panel
If you belive in any standard of customer service stay clear of this bunch, as they only want your money for their overpriced, low quality doors.
Honestly Stay Clear!!
We paid over £850 for a Mohogany front door and frame from them, and when fitted the panel was warped within 24 hours.i should have went B&Q and paid a third of the price, and then if i had the same issues it would have been replaced staright away.
This has been a very disatisfying experience, so dont use them

Avoid online hardwood doors
Previously had great mdf doors from JeldWen a long used supplier in Texas. Since then spent over £800 on ridiculous excuse for an oak door which has taken ages to get replacement for cracked frame (drove 2 hrs to Leeds ourselves for that from LPD) and then warped threshold (took over 2 weeks) but the worst of it is the reality this is not only a pieced frame but a thin veneer door over layers of softer wood as revealed by the cores when installing lock sets. And yes, the door has warped straight away altho layers of finish per enclosed directives: non water base stain then varnish and heavier sealer for cut ends. We know what we are doing, having been in commercial construction 55 years US & UK. Bottom line UK: never buy a hardwood door online, go to a trusted local supplier, it's worth the extra cost. You don't want to burn £813 like we did.

Refusal to replace a faulty door
Ordered a pocket door via our bathroom fitter, spending over £700 on the order, frame was delivered ok, the door was then delivered in a different shipment on the 12th October. The bathroom fitter, went to unpack and install the door on the 19th October and the door was faulty. Contacted DirectDoors immediately upon seeing the fault, who flat out refused to replace the door. They said their T&Cs said we had 48 hours to tell them about it. I contacted Citizen's Advice who said the refusal to replace the faulty door was a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I took this information back to DirectDoors, who continued to flatly refuse to replace the door. I explained to them it's against the law to refuse to replace the faulty door as per Citizen's Advice information and they still refused. I am now in the process of continuing my complaint with Citizen's Advice. DirectDoors has now substantially disrupted the progress of the work we're doing, basically we're at a point now where nothing can get done until a new door is sourced, and DirectDoors are refusing. So we'll see what Citizen's Advice will assist with from here. Shall update in due course, but I'd steer VERY clear of this company as it seems this is a reoccurring problem. I'd give them zero stars if I could.
Update: spoke to the MD (apparently) who was unhelpful, adversarial and wanted to reinforce his clear view that this was our problem for not reporting the faulty door within 48 hours. Apparently a week is "well outside the timescales". I would think a week is a reasonable time frame. Anyway, the company was firm they refuse to partially refund (we only wanted the door replaced) refusing to replace, absolutely no regard for the customer and utterly appalling to deal with in every sense of the word. Wish I'd read all the other reviews that had similar experiences when there's a fault and the company does not care one bit about it.
Update: not “well over a week” but exactly a week the door was on premise untouched and upon immediate inspection after unpacking the door the fault was reported. As anyone will note from the reply below, DirectDoors does not give a flying f… about you when there’s a problem. AVOID. Clearly the rot starts at the top.

Recurring theme - damaged doors - steer clear.
Only wish i had read recent reviews for this lot. I had door dropped off a week after the other parts, the delivery driver just left it in my garage and drove off without even knocking on my door, perhaps he already knew the door was damaged. Anyway i left it in my garage until weekend when my chippy fitted it, we took the packaging off to find dents and scratches over the door.
I contacted Direct Doors and after some consideration their excuse was they would not credit me or replace the damaged door as i should have reported damage within 24 hrs. Poor Poor Poor company to deal with.
I will also say very expensive these mexicana doors can be bought separately for about £130, which means there little bit of steel they supply cost nearly £300, a total rip off.
Steer clear
in reply to your email below i suggest you get your facts right the door as i stated above was delivered separately and was on the 21st of September, i had an email off your colleague Erin at 8.29 on the 21st as follows:-
Hi Neil,
I apologise for the delay in my response while I awaited the response from the manufacturer.
They have advised the door is out for delivery today.
Kind regards,
Erin

One star is still too much for a company that supplies damaged doors and then refuses to do anything about it.
I certainly would not use them again. Please avoid all cost
