I purchased the DCW620NT-XJ Router and it came with a 12mm and 8mm collet not the standard 1/2" and 1/4". This has now cost me £100 more to get the fittings. Dewalt stated each retailer sells... See more

Awful customer service and quality
Awful customer service. I've got a less than three year old DeWalt table saw that has now failed twice with the same and I paid out of pocket to repair with DeWalt. Both times I was told the repair would take five days. The first time took two months and parts that I was charged for weren't changed. I proved it as I had etched my initials on some parts and they were still on the saw when I got it back.
They have now had my saw for another month with the same issue and I was quoted five days.
This saw is going to be sold as soon as I get it back. Never again will I touch this poor product.
6amp 54v batteries that just stop…
6amp 54v batteries that just stop working after 3 months. Can’t get through to anyone at dewalt. Absolute joke.
Cuck on a DCD701 Drill jammed after 9…
Cuck on a DCD701 Drill jammed after 9 months of domestic use. Returned to Dewalt as retailers dont hold warranty for refunds aparently. They sent to Black and Decker, transpired that chucks are not covered on a warranty. Outragious, it's the main part of a drill !!!! Customer service very poor, just like their product. Avoid Dewalt. Makita price, Black and Decker Quality. Go Makita everytime is my advice.
There boots are absolutely rubbish
There boots are absolutely rubbish, within 4 months falling apart. Submitted claim and still waiting weeks later
Fraud is called Dewalt UK
Pathetic customer care and no one responding to emails , bad products sold are of low quality and guarrantee scheme is fraud.
Poor warranty and service
Bought a combo drill and impact set, drill has a fault and despite emailing and claiming against the 3 year warranty, dealt have completely ignored my claim. Useless company
Great work boots at reasonable price
Great work boots at reasonable price. Now 3 months old well used and holding up great.
Warm light and plenty of grip.
The worst customer service I have…
The worst customer service I have experienced. After spending several grand over the years on DeWalt tools I am never buying anything else from them. Horrendous customer service. Businesses need to use DeWalt to educate workers on how not to treat customers. 1000 times worse than anything.
Computer (Dewalt) says... No
I've spent thousands over the past decade across the dewalt 18v platform and credit to the quality I've never needed to call in a warranty issue, until this month...
I bought a brand new 18v chainsaw and the oil filler cap has a little plastic bar to prevent the cap being lost when unscrewed... This has a defect and broke in half, allowing the cap to be removed... No big deal.
Contacted a dewalt agent who said I'd need to pay to have the entire saw delivered to them and if I didn't want to do that I could buy a new cap with them (saw was6a week old). So.. Contacted dewalt directly and after about 10 email exchanges they said they could arrange collection of the entire saw to "assess" the fault and repair it, might take a week or two... I asked if they could simply send me a new oil cap (which would cost them literally pennies) and I'd happily return the faulty cap.... Refused. In the end they sent me the code of the cap and said I could order it and pay for it myself through one of their agents.
Dreadful service and robotic replies... If computer says no, it's a no.
Real pity, not what I expected.
Secret Dewalt Dimensions!
I need to replace an old Bosch jigsaw so looked at Dewalt ones as I already have some of their tools. There's no indication of the dimensions anywhere so I contacted Dewalt support. After 3 emails they are unable(unwilling) to give me the dimensions. It's not exactly a state secret is it! Makita has all the info. on their website, but not Dewalt. I only want to know if it will fit in a tool box I already have. Very disappointed.
Forever buying the Black and Yellow
I have been a proud dewalt user for several years now with very minimal issues, however, I purchased a 60V grinder kit 14-16 months ago, and was unhappy from the start as the 9AH battery only lasted 5-10 minutes each charge. Just assuming that this was the battery life with the 60V line, I rarely used this battery at all until a few weeks ago and at this point the battery wouldn't charge at all. As it had been over a year from my purchase, i didn't think Dewalt would do anything about it but decided to contact them anyway. To my surprise, they immediately put a replacement battery in the mail, free of charge or further questioning which I received 2 days later. Nicholas and Kimberly were the most kind and helpful customer service reps I have interacted with in a long time, and service like this is what keeps me using the black and yellow. Great tools, better service, and fantastic experience.
Dewalt customer service is diabolical
Dewalt customer service is diabolical, sent a drill away to be repaired after being told it was a fixed price of £78.99 , 3 weeks later I chased again and was told parts were in so if I pay the £78.99 + vat they will fix it however originally it was a fixed price and no mention of vat, was offered a couple of tape measures as a goodwill gesture , what a joke (Zachary and Philip are 2 names to be mindful of) never got it repaired as had to get a new one due to long timescale and needing for work
We bought the flexvolt 9" cut off saw…
We bought the flexvolt 9" cut off saw after ready great reviews about it which came with 2 9ah batteries. Due to the short run time of the 9ah we invested in a 12ah battery. 15 months later and not a great deal of use and the 12ah battery has packed in, £166 we paid for it, spoke to dewalt and they have said there's only a 1 year warranty with batteries and that's it.
I think that will be the very last dewalt we ever buy.
My first DEWALT boots.
I purchased a pair of DEWALT Sharpsburg Steel Toe Safety Boot - Stone / UK9 (EU43) on September 29th 2023. It is now January 10th 2024 and the boots have failed.
It has been just over three months (103 days). I have worn the boots 59 times since the purchase date, and the working conditions have been indoors, with minimal exposure to outdoor weather, and without rough terrain.
I spent hard-earned money on a product that has not lasted as long as boots at half the price. I purchased the DEWALT Sharpsburg Steel Toe Safety Boot - Stone / UK9 (EU43) as a treat to my feet. In the past, I have purchased cheaper products. The cheaper boots purchased in the past lasted longer and overall had more grit (like a diesel engine).
The DEWALT Sharpsburg Steel Toe Safety Boot - Stone / UK9 (EU43) does have many positives. The hooked eyelet design and strength of the hooked eyelets are the best i have seen and experienced to date (10/01/2024). The laces have not yet frayed and/or broken. The rubber soul is strong and provides plenty of grip.
Time for the negative part of the review. Unfortunately, the leather has failed (ripped) after 3 months of use. The rip is around the metatarsal area of the foot, allowing material such as water, dust, and debris to enter the boot. I expect to get a minimum of one year from a decent work boot. Unfortunately, the beautiful DEWALT Sharpsburg Steel Toe Safety Boot - Stone / UK9 (EU43) lasted only 3 months.
I have wrapped silver gaffer tape around the boot to seal the cut/gash/hole.
warranty registration nightmare
Trying to register a warranty with dewalt is a nightmare. First you have to set up an account, but if you already had one 5 years ago and forgot password then don t bother. clicked the forgot p/w button about 10 times over a 2 hour period, never got an e/mail. Tried the chat column thats also a waste of time. Easiest way out is to never buy dewalt tools again.
Difficulty in trying to arrange a repair under warranty
I have been trying to get my DeWalt grinder authorised for repair under there extended warranty scheme since early November 2023 and i'm still trying now at the end of December. All i get in reply is an email saying " this has been passed on to our support team"... that's it , it never goes any further. The website is a nightmare to navigate if you are looking to get a repair. After 20 plus years of buying DeWalt i am done.
DEWALT POWER TOOLS ARE FOR…
DEWALT POWER TOOLS ARE FOR PROFESSIONALS ONLY - according to Mark Smiley!!!
His reply to my email concerning his after sales personnel reviewing my complaints about staff making promises that are not met, states :-
This tool is meant for professionals perhaps you should buy a DIY one from B&Q or Homebase!!! LOL
He also advised he could not see how I was being treated with contempt - but made this self righteous statement.
Although my Saw is under warranty he also ranted that I had caused him great expense - trouble is I suggested at the outset of querying whether the guard had its own riven knife fitted between the two plastic arms - compared to the separate one that arrives fitted to the saw! This information was never answered and the Tech team wanted it back.
The initial query I raised was - after fitting the guard the bolt fixing it to the plate would not re fix - all videos on YouTube showed American Saws that had a plastic handle fitted to tighten the guard back to the plate.
It’s extremely tight space to try and get your hand into to use a spanner etc.
When I advised them of this they sent a step by step guide but this also showed an American Saw with the plastic handle.
They also sent me a copy of the Manual instructions which (Professional or not) is so ambiguous it contradicts itself!!!
It states “ fit the guard but do not fit the Riven knife at the same time”
Then it states “ make sure you fit the Riven knife “
If they read their own instructions and re wrote them to advise the Guard has its own Riven knife but you don’t need the fitted one unless you use the saw without the guard.
Also, they could attach the same plastic knob to the European version to ease changing the guard and riven knife over.
So - Do not purchase a Dewalt tool unless you are a professional - go define “Professional “
I will contact Karl Evans next to see how he treats Customers - DIY’ers
Battery 18v 4ah stop charging after…
Battery 18v 4ah stop charging after light use as diy. Scrap. Cordless grass trimmer wery short time working on 5ah battery, useless. This same on Cordless grinder. After big fan, now big disappointed. I see drops of quality. Good bye dewalt
Rude customer service
Ordered some workwear and returned the items around 3 weeks ago. I emailed them to ask them to confirm that they had received the return, like the majority of companies do. I received a snotty, rude email telling me to read the returns policy and they had received the return a week earlier and the refund would be due after 10 days from receipt. Still no refund. I was going to re order the items in another size but after the way they speak to customers and don’t even follow a basic process of returns acknowledgement I won’t bother with them again.
