Shocked at their insulting attitude. I've bene a loyal power tool customer for DeWalt for over 20 years. I am awaiting a battery redemption offer. But Dewalt sent me a lot of items by mistake, worth far more then my redemption. So I contacted them to let them know their mistake.
I then get a letter to say Sorry for our mistake. But they will not send my redemption battery until they have had all good sent in error returned. How rude and insulting, after I contacted them. They made the mistake and I have to wait more time - I've already waited 7 weeks for my redemption battery.
dewalt offered a bonus tool by redemption through mitre10. After going through the redemption process, they state it will take 2 months to receive the bonus tool. This is an unreasonable length of time for them to fulfill their advertised contract, and it is obviously possible to fulfill their contract within a few weeks at most.
They say that they will send a battery on redemption within 6 weeks. There is no battery; phone calls get answered in the Philippines, and we can do nothing about it. Chat is a waste of time, even though I am number one in the queue and still waiting 30 minutes later.
Useless warranty service
I brought a new circular saw with battery. The battery was faulty and couldn’t hold a charge. Their process is that I had to return the tool to the vendor, Toolshed, they send it to DeWalt and I wait, so far it has been two weeks and no new battery. Then when and if it arrives I have to return to the shop to collect they don’t courier! I definitely would not recommend DeWalt
Shoddy goods and Warranty not honoured. Drill invoice from amazon was submitted when warranty registered and was accepted. They even sent warranty certificate to me. Drill developed fault during warranty period and they refused to honour it as it was purchased on Amazon. Will never use this company again!
About a year ago I decided to buy a de walt weedeater, 28v brushless dmcst561 from mitre 10 in wanganui.
By may 23 the head unit was worn out so I purchased a new one at $30 which I considered reasonable, however I needed a further replacement by Oct 23, the price was almost double at $54.
Having used many brands of weedeater over the years, this de walt unit is by far the worst in terms of wear and tear of the head unit.
Well, over 3 months in and no joy customer services, no joy approaching their head office also. This company really does not care about customers. Next step consumer programmes and let everyone know their attitude publicly.
Absolute joke. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for someone to look at a part under warranty. They never call back and if you are lucky to get a hold of someone they don’t care. I need to switch to another brand.
I have always had Hitachi (hikoki) gear as a electrican. Brought some dewalt gear with a battery redemption. Its been over 3 months since my application for the battery. Nothing. Apparently covid is slowing things down. Stores seem to be full of dewalt gear no issues though. Think I will stick with Hikoki.
Drill bits all work as intended come pre oiled.
Great buy. I picked up this set a local hardware store. Love it. Wish I knew I could have gotten it delivered. Definitely buy now or add to the wish list.
