I always look forward to travelling with cunard and enjoy the sense of occasion and dressing up in the evenings; to me it is part of the experience. However on our last Norway cruise on board Queen An... See more

Superb cruise and a wonderful way to cross the Atlantic (and cheaper than premium economy!). Cunard is iconic and classy. We would do it again at the drop of a hat!
You have to try Cunard if you love…
You have to try Cunard if you love everything British and the elegance of the cruise ships of yesteryear! If you love high tea and dressing up this is your ship! The people are courteous and a delight to get to know. Cunard offers port valet; where they take your luggage to the airport and give you your boarding pass! You also get free breakfast room service everyday. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. I’ll be cruising again and again on Cunard
Queen Mary 2 is Center Stage
This was a special "London Theatre at Sea" cruise in partnership with the Olivier Awards. There were several artists on board giving talks and workshops. To spend time with these gifted people was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
WHAT IS HAPPENING TO CUNARDS THEATRE ENTERTAINMENT?
I write as a long time Cunard customer (platinum level) regarding the Alaska cruise we were just on
My wife and I cannot believe the shambolic nature of the theatre entertainment on board this ship. It is terrible.
I honestly cannot stress how amateurish and embarrassing the so called evening entertainment has been. There was a time when people used to have to run after dinner to get a seat in the theatre, it's barely a third full these days.
It took a week into the cruise to get a 'west end' style song and dance show, which is something Cunard used to be good at when we first started cruising with you many years ago in our 30's.
Instead we got a tone deaf singer for 2 nights, a multi instrumentalist for 2 nights, a collection of singers strutting round the stage etc. We finally got a proper show 'be our guest' which was on a 21 day qm2 cruise we did a year ago! Then an awful 1970s style 'comedian'.
The production of 'Come from away' near the end was excellent, but that's 1 night out of 12, and all the company effort appeared to be dedicated to that one show.
We have been told a member of the cast had been injured and had to leave but that was during a previous cruise. How hard can it be to replace people?
We have raised these issues with the activity manager and he has pointed out how many people have complained and this gets fed back to Cunard. He also told us that despite the feedback to Cunard nothing seems to change. Cunard on shore apparently dictate to the ships the entertainment they have. If true, where is the sense in that?
The entertainment is a major part of cruising and if its going to continue being this bad then maybe its time we moved to another cruise line? We love the black tie and formality of a proper cruise line, shown by our loyalty to you, but there is so much competition out there now, we shouldn't have to put up with this low standard of show. Plus no one seems to have the guts to enforce the dress code either.
The amount of 1st time cruisers who have asked us if the entertainment is always this bad is numerous. Its embarrassing frankly. First impressions matter.
We went on celebrity constellation in 2024 and they gave a different west end show every single night. The production and quality was astounding. How can Cunard not even manage to get near this?
Cunard has a niche place in the market in that its loyal customers come back because of the black tie etc, but it's clear that won't last and your customer base will vote with their feet. Just because the ships have a 1920s feel doesn't mean the entertainment should come from that era too.
We have a cruise booked for November on qv and next April on qe and honestly we are considering cancelling.
I raised this issues back in 2024 on a qv cruise which was also bad but clearly Cunard aren't taking any notice, obviously.
Its time for a wholesale clear out of the management teams within Cunard entertainment and fresh blood is required. It clearly isnt working.
Couple that with a constant sewage stench on deck 2 at the queens room, a problem queen Victoria also had, then standards are clearly slipping. I truly hope Cunard isn't going the way of P&O, which now seems to be positioning itself at the lower end of the market, hence why we no longer cruise with them.
Then the wine tasting for platinum members organised at the exact same time as the glacier comes into view, so we have to leave that before we get a drop to drink. How hard can it be?
We are more than happy to discuss these matters further in order to help. But we are customers after all and hope to actually be listened too.
Cruise lines take years to build up a good reputation but that can be destroyed very quickly, again see p and o. My grandparents cruised qe2 and Canberra, my parents p and o, and now my wife and I cruise Cunard. But, of all the lines we have cruised, Cunards levels of entertainment is easily at the bottom.
We want cunard to succeed but you're making it hard to want to come back.
It was just a spilled drink.....
As a seasoned cruisers we were so looking forward to our first trip on Cunard. Sadly it will be our last, as it was marred by several niggles including the numerous phone calls we were forced to make regarding the removal of service charges on our account, plus poor service in some bars etc However the biggest turn off was an incident we witnessed in one of the bars on board. Where a junior member of staff( a delightful girl ) was berated in view of passengers by a senior member of staff over a spilled drink ( a complete accident by the way) .We were appalled, as were other passengers on adjacent tables who also voiced their concerns as it was completely unacceptable. So we wrote a letter of support to the server's line manager. Who to his great credit graciously contacted us to discuss the matter further ( I won't name names to protect individuals privacy. )
It was upsetting to say the least, and it played on our minds throughout the holiday. Point being if incidents like this can happen in public view , what on earth goes on behind the scenes.?
We wrote to Cunard on our return to express our concerns, and received what we consider a standard response /apology. No explanation as such, just sorry you had to witness it, which was disappointing to say the least.Sadly our moral compass is such, we cannot tolerate what in essence is tantamount to bullying, hence we won't be travelling with Cunard again.
As a footnote and in the spirit of fairness, food and drinks very good (including speciality dining )and our cabin was comfortable and kept spotlessly clean.
A wonderful experience beginning to…
A wonderful experience beginning to end. Service was very professional and responsive. The Theatre at Sea was an unexpected bonus on this crossing. The performers were top notch and the production was superbly organized. Cunard would do well to return the same producer and staff for its next Theatre at Sea themed crossing.
Theater at Sea, Olivier Awards
I just experienced Theater at Sea, Olivier Awards for the second time. It was so good that I have booked for the next two. I feel the team Julian Bird put together was phenomenal and I would love to see all of them again. They were exceptional performances. It was also nice to see young talent on the stage. QM2 always has good entertainment but Theater at Sea, Olivier Awards will keep me coming back.

Southampton to New York transatlantic crossing. We were taken back to a golden age of travel, and a celebration of the best of British.
Beautiful bars, excellent food, and amazing staff. Disney couldn't create a better themed experience, which Cunard do for real. If you love the romance of a 1920's voyage on a true ocean liner, you can live it right now.
They were very helpfully always greeted us with a welcoming smile and genuine interest in how a day was going. Excellent all round experience
They were very helpfully always greeted you with a smile. Very organized with the shore excursions getting on and off times.
Also the food was always presented nice and fresh. The staff were all very friendly particularly Takudzwa Motsi and Chtistopher Cfhkwanha (not sure of spelling) were very good.
Our steward Wilson level 6 Our room was 6041 was excellent above and beyond we feel.

From start to finish Queen Victoria was absolutely wonderful. Our butler Kenneth was very helpful and kept our cabin pristine. Our Cabin with wrap around balcony was great , in the late evening sitting watching the sun set with a glass in hand 🥂was very restful.
Our waiters, Dom especially so considerate, helpful with my food intolerance making sure everything was alright, plenty of choice (which other cruise lines could not do)
Dennis made up the team they worked well together.
We both loved dressing up in the evening ( the one reason to go on Cunard) most people did this apart from a few Americans who thought it didn’t apply to them, one night they turned up in jeans & tshirt (Queens grill) we all got letters the next day asking us to use the dress code or if more comfortable use the lido restaurant or the pub .
It was my birthday mid trip and Cunard spoiled me from our waiters- lovely GF cake which was very yummy to the cabin decoration all very tasteful and beautiful by our butler Kenneth.
The sea was calm, the sun shone, a great holiday
Cunard comfort.
Having previously considered that cruising not be for me, I have been astonished by Cunard. Their shear professionalism and quality of service made for a most pleasurable experience. Everything, crew, food, cleanliness, comfort, ship, decor, entertainment etc, was of the highest calibre.
The company cannot be praised enough. A definite Cunard cruise is in the pipeline for the very near future.
Congratulations Cunard!!
First time cruise (Alaska) on the Queen…
First time cruise (Alaska) on the Queen Elizabeth with Cunard. The whole experience was superb.
Quality of accommodation, food, staff, service, communication and organisation all excellent.
Theatre at Sea Transatlantic crossing
Booked this voyage for the Olivier Theatre at Sea theme. I had done the previous two and this was just as wonderful. Well organised and great performers. On this basis I have already booked for 2027 and hope the same events team are employed to organise the programme, as it was faultless.
I booked the voyage because of the Theatre at Sea
I booked the voyage because of the theme Theatre at Sea based on the Olivier awards. I have enjoyed two previous cruises on this theme and have booked for 2027 and 2028 as the theme wlll be the Theatre at Sea.
It was brilliantly organised.
Simply Great
Staff were extremely hard working, courteous and befitting the Cunard Brand. TY, loved our trip.on QV
Just spent 18 nights on the Queen Anne
Just spent 18 nights on the Queen Anne. So, some people don't think that this is "Cunard". I have to disagree. I've only been on one other Cunard ship (and only 2 other cruise lines) but this was everything that I expected from Cunard. Service, cleanliness, variety, etc. Cunard has realised that their typical demograph is getting older so they are trying to appeal to a younger audience. I have just turned 50 this year and this trip was everything that I would expect.
This was our first cruise ever and…
This was our first cruise ever and Cunard was true luxury. Getting onboard was seamless, and they communicate to you well in advance of what to expect, etc. The crews were good, and Queen Victoria was stunning. We did find there was a lack of evening entertainment in the theatre in the evenings, however, that was one of the only downfalls and everything else made up for it - stunning ship, easy to get off the boat at various ports, great food and drinks, stunning pools, and just an overall relaxing and wonderful vacation. This was one of the vacations in recent history that I was sad when it was over, as it was that good! It is always nice to get home, but I will always remember my first Cundard cruise fondly, and highly recommend them.
Good atmosphere
Usually cruise on P&O or SAGA. The Oueen Anne, we felt was a mix of the two. Not as expensive as SAGA (although they do include certain things) but more expensive than P&O and thus should have been better, and certain things were. Being a newish ship it was clean and tidy but the stateroom cabin furniture did remind me of the old MFI type. The stateroom(4081) itself was of a reasonable size, although the bathroom was on the small size. It had an obstructed view and unfortunately was of the lifeboat mechanism. The bed was comfy but THE PILLOWS WERE TOO SOFT. Getting around the ship was fairly straight forward with maps and notice board to guide you and digital displays with essential information. Food was adequate with not oversized proportions. The meal time at 17.50 was I felt too early and this usually meant 1hour wait before the entertainment in the main theatre and even longer for that in the Queens room. The entertainment was in the main very good with a couple of duff experiences.
We are booked to go on P&O in July so the comparison should be interesting!
I have now sailed with Cunard 57 times
I have now sailed with Cunard 57 times. The service, as always was superb. I like dressing for dinner, although some passengers who do not wish to, should choose a different cruise line.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. Staff from the captain to the deck hands went out of their way to be courteous, helpful and pleasant at all times.
