Purchase a CRKT 2511 Bear Claw™ Fixed Blade
Upon reception notice that darker spots bluish purple from overheating during sharpening
I was concerned but I figured it couldn't be that bad I'm over analyzing
I'm at deckhand on a tugboat so I purchased this as a lifeline rescue knife So I had some 1/2" yellow nylon rope to cut so I used my knife to cut it
Evrery compromised part of the blade just chipped away it's so febrile
so I contacted the CRKT which they offered to send out a warranty replacement

So I received my replacement (WRONG COLOR) and it has the same issue I was concerned about whit the first one it has the same weakening of the metal due to over over heating during sharpening (probably a calibration issue if automated)
I haven't used it and contacted CRKT I was told that since I'm in Canada that now I have to pay to ship it back and that I'm the one ho is gonna need to pay for that
when I ask about a credit for the shipping or compensation I was told that it's not their problem if I want to exchange the knife 🔪
And upon reception if they have a replacement in stock they will send me a new one if not I'm stock
I'm going to have to wait for the knife to restock again if it does . . .

So well that's it subpar after sales service !
Was a huge fan actually have a few CRKT knives
A fan not so much anymore

This is a 115 $ purchase

Also previous contact was made with a service representative that told me they would get back to me
And my case fell between the cracks due to an employee being absent for a prolonged personal reason which is understandable
but still someone should have taken here files and do a fallow up
So Ball dropped
So issue of the service or lack thereof

Recently purchased a Bot Natural Assisted Folding Knife with Deadbolt® Lock 5420 from CRKT. This brand NEW knife, right out of the box, is so dull it would not even cut paper. Now they expect me to pay for shipping again to send it back to be sharpened

I had a small part go missing from my CRKT knife, and the team shipped me a free replacement thumbscrew — no hassle, no charge. That’s what I call great customer service. Solid attention to detail, friendly support, and fast turnaround. The knife itself is excellent, but this experience showed me the company behind the blade is just as sharp. Highly recommended.

I have found CRKT, to be one of my favorite knife distributors. I've read a few reviews online that were disappointed in customer service. I have never had such service. I stripped out my pivot screw on my m-16 dB. I requested a replacement part. And was sent one free of charge!!! And they even told me if I would ship it to them they would fix as part of their warranty. And yes they don't super steel on all their blades. But honestly they are priced to be tools that you will actually use. Idk about you but I don't like using my $500 knives. I love these knives, this company and their customer service. They are second to none.

The knives themselves are fantastic but the customer support from CRKT through EMail or phone......Horrid! Called regarding my Crawford Kasper knife after no response to multiple emails (website states to email regarding parts), the woman who answer the phone simply stated her name and nothing else, no may I help you etc etc. So I explained the reason for my call was to obtain replacement side panels for the knife. To which she responded, we don't have any. That's it...no elaboration, or anything else, and it sounded like she had a mouth full of food as I could hear her chewing. So, done with CRKT and back to SOG for me.

A very nice knife! it keeps and edge (sharp) for a long time. its easy to open (quickly) and is very light, but sturdy. The blade does lock in place, when open, so that it will not fold back and cut yourself. High quality knife..
