Absolutely Horrible
This is Mr. Reeder. I hold a doctorate and master’s degree. I served in the Navy, Defense Force, Army, and Air Force, including Vietnam. I retired a Vice Admiral from the USAF and am a retired federal police officer.
I reject that this matter was handled properly. My wife and I spoke with multiple staff at Courtyard Rehabilitation in Marianna, FL. They were focused on internal drama and backstabbing. No one addressed the mental and emotional abuse I endured.
I was afraid during my stay, unsure what Aurdry Mondragon would do. She screamed at me for requesting medication. I was denied eye drops, blood pressure medication, insulin (pills and injection), and cholesterol medication. I could not sleep from 7:45 PM to 8 AM due to fear and burning eyes without my drops. I need those drops so I can keep what little sight I still have.
When my wife, on speakerphone, said she would file a complaint, Aurdry got in my face yelling, “She want my name, I’ll spell it for her. I’m Aurdry.” My wife had to bring my eye drops herself. Kimberly Renee Hamilton and Waiketha Hunter watched and said nothing. Staff played the blame game instead of resolving the issue.
Aurdry called my home harassing my wife and son; my son legally recorded it. When my wife called to report it, Aurdry intercepted calls. Renee Hamilton was uncouth and more concerned that my wife had proof than addressing the abuse.
I have a 38-minute recorded conversation with Waiketha Hunter. Rooms 319 and 315 were unsanitary: feces on floors, toilets, and walls; roaches; missing outlet covers; unwashed sheets. Waiketha confirmed she photographed them and sent to maintenance. Other staff also discussed Kimberly Renee-Bradley Halstead Hamilton’s unprofessionalism and loss of CNA license after being escorted from PruittHealth Panama City.
Other staff informed us unlicensed employees hold false titles. Kim Willis, CNA/Social worker, said head social worker Carson Fellow was nonchalant about my case. Cherease Charlton stated Aurdry would be kept on staff if needed, regardless of conduct.
You fired the nurse who reported abuse but kept Aurdry and others who degrade patients and warn families not to use your facility. I have recordings and a constitutional right to publish reviews and articles about what occurred. Patients are more than a paycheck. We are human and we all matter.
