Omg seriously two different automated systems that were not at all giving me the options for what I needed. I was left a message to return a call with a reference number to give. By the time I actual... See more

Online customer service is CRAP
I was asked if I would like to use two-step verification, but only offered the option of receiving text messages to a mobile phone.
I do not use a mobile phone. Why don’t they offer to send messages by BT's text to voice service, or to a landline number - as other companies do?
I tried to tell them this direct but there is no email address for complaints – only a deflection to a ‘chat’ service, which is in my experience is generally a time waster which never understands the issue. So I hung up.
They then sent me an email from a no-reply address, claiming to not recognise the device I had logged in from and suggesting that I select a “ This is my device” option so that it would be recognised in future. BUT it did not offer that option or tell me where to find it!
Who runs their online system? Amateurs? Teenagers? Whoever it is is totally incompetent.
ComputerShare is Scum
After a few days sitting in training I had enough. I can absolutely 100% advise this is an unethical, incompetent financial organization who doesn’t care about the shareholders rather they care more about profit over people. They might tell you in writing or verbally they care but their actions are despicable.
In an audio video, one of their QA persons can be heard saying, “The entire point of this job, remember, is to convince people to do things they really don't want to do.” That statement summed it up how they really feel about their customers.
We were told to fake knowledge of the content as the more confident you sound the more believable you’re. A trainer advised “this isn’t a customer service role; we are only here to obtain a vote”. Scripts are designed to be read verbatim. Human robots reading scripts to force you to vote on something you don’t want to vote.
ComputerShare is hired by a corporation to collect votes. The more votes then a quorum can be conducted. The majority of the trainers and representatives have little knowledge with the financial definitions. ComputerShare role is to advise who the corporation recommends voting for the board and/or elected personnel. It’s a conflict of interest because if the customer chooses not to vote then the representative is required to state a rebuttal in order to convince them to vote. If they decline they’re required to state a 2nd rebuttal. The overall goal is for ComputerShare to collect enough votes so the corporations who paid them an administration fee can hold a quorum and continue to govern the company however they insist. Remember the majority of these corporations hold millions of shares by the executives who control the majority of the voting rights and most of the time the individual shareholders don’t have enough shares to persuade the overall outcome. That’s how companies become and remain monopolistic.
I’m trying to figure out do I report their behavior to FTC or SEC? If fraud to FTC or misrepresentation to SEC. Neither happened, unethical, lack of integrity and incompetent happened.
Forgotten user name
I hadn't logged into my account for sometime & couldn't remember my user name. I used the forgotten user name facility & it gave me an incorrect one. I tired to resolve the issue through the online chat without success & requested a phone number so I could speak to someone. I found the chat facility useless. I have just spoken to Paul Christian who resolved my issue very quickly & I'm now up & running again. Thank you Paul for your help & patience. A credit to your company.
Rukshana was simply excellent
Rukshana was simply excellent! Helped with my frustrated queries in the most professional way and with the most wonderful manner.
The elderly should beware.
We have had to retain an Attorney because my Mother no longer can access the email she used years ago. They have horrible customer service for the elderly.
Absolutely hopeless
Absolutely hopeless. They don’t know what they’re doing. Avoid at all costs.
Incompetent.
Unbelievable. Printed multiple required documents off the Computershare SA website, complied with all authenticated highly classified personal documents to be provided and posted as instructed to the address on the forms. Now after £60 on 2 telephone calls to follow-up, I was informed they have moved address, but not updated the forms on the site.!!!!! No call back after being cut off and no attempt to track down the forms and documents. The information supplied could easily lead to fraud account breach. Absolutely incompetent with no customer care whatsoever.
Old Shares
I was dreading trying to find out about very old shares. Rookshan was extremely helpful and has made the start of the process very easy.
I can't even begin to describe how horrible
I can't even begin!! Getting through their automated phone line is impossible. Then after a prolonged time, if you can reach an agent, they are unhelpful and rude! It was an unbelievably frustrating experience with ongoing unresolved issues!! Companies like this should be required to improve their performance or quit functioning.
Thank you Patricia Kommando
After many months of issues to obtain my lost certificate trying to sell my shares, I was assisted by Patricia Kommando. Wow, what a difference. Within a short time my issues were all resolved, my details updated and my shares sold.
THANK YOU PATRICIA, It was such a pleasure to communicate with you, You are a STAR!!!!!
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Probably the worst I have ever experienced. The people answering the phones don't know what they are talking about and make the process needlessly confusing.
Worst customer service ever
It took me literally years to process my late partner’s estate. This company is totally unwilling to be helpful. Customer service is a joke. I was so frustrated with them that I almost gave up. Luckily my partner’s sister persuaded me to go on. But I never want to deal with them again.
I wish there was a box to check for no…
I wish there was a box to check for no stars for a review. This company doesn't even deserve one. I literally have been dealing with ComputerShare since 2014 about stock issues from a previous company I used to work for. Their online system is an absolute joke, most people that I have spoken to there don't have a clue what is going on or what is actually needed to help the customer, with a couple of exceptions of some agents that were trying their best to help. The wait times for trying to speak with an actual human is almost not even an option. They actually Mail you paper forms to be filled out, that take weeks to get to you and then nothing gets resolved, even after 11 years as stated earlier. Oh, then they want you to pay additional fees for certificates that they don't even mail to you, claiming they have without any proof they actually did send it in the mail. A complete fraud of a company. Ask any stock brokerage employee that has ever dealt with Computershare, how poorly run of a company they are to deal with. Best wishes if you do have to actually deal with them. It's not fun at all.
IF THEY HAD A LOWER STAR THIS MOB WOULD…
IF THEY HAD A LOWER STAR THIS MOB WOULD GET IT. MY LATE HUSBAND'S SHARES WITHE ANZ ARE NOW IN MY NAME. THEY PUT THE DIVIDEND INTO A CLOSED A/C AT MY SHAREHOLDERS ON THE 1ST OF JULY, IT IS NOW THE 14TH AUGUST AND EVERY LETTER TELLS ME IT WAS DEPOSITED ON THE 7TH AUGUST. IT IS STILL NOT THERE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD A LOT OF PORKIES. IF THE NEW CEO OF THE ANZ WANTS TO HEAR THE TRUTH OF THE JOB HE HAS AHEAD OF HIM. SPEAK TO ME, A WIFE OF AN RETIRED SENIOR EXECUTIVE'S WIFE WHO HAS BEEN IN TEARS WITH THE INADEQUACY OF THIS BANK FOR THE LAST 17 MONTHS. NEITHER DID I AGREE THAT MY PERSONNEL BANKING GO OVERSEAS AND OUR OWN PEOPLE NEED JOBS. TELL HIM AND THEIR BOARD TO LOOK AT THE REVIEWS FOR BOTH YOU AND THE BANK.
Abi Helps Alot
Abi
Provided quick, knowledgeable, friendly service. She's one of your finest.
Awful service from a human bot
Unhelpful, slow call centre staff, unhelpful, won’t put you through to anyone higher. A payment wasn’t issued and even though it was no fault of mine, they wanted to take a 20% fee. Eventually I got through to someone in the Uk who sorted the issue out immediately. Why do these companies insist on outsourcing to script readers.. all it does is cause frustration, may as well be speaking to a bot.
No resolution to account access or statements for over one year
I have been trying to resolve a problem with not receiving my account verification code or statements for over one year. Despite many calls and emails I get the same answer which is to ask for a resend which does not resolve anything as this has been attempted 4 times. I feel frustrated at not being able to access my account and am not receiving my statements either.
If I could give them 0 stars I would
If I could give them 0 stars I would. My father passed away FIVE YEARS ago, but his shares were never transferred to my mother. She finally gets a notice in the mail (dated for months PRIOR to when it actually arrived) saying his shares are going to be turned over to the state due to "inactivity" and giving me NO TIME to respond.
The rep mentioned putting a "Stop" on the transfer, but wouldn't let me because he "couldn't see" if one had already been granted. He also told me that the account was marked inactive because no checks had been cashed (again they were issued to my DECEASED FATHER), but when i asked why no mention of transfer had been to my mother I was told that their company "is separate" from the one my father actually held shares in.
Honestly, I feel like this company is a scam and I would NOT recommend using them to ANYONE.
Locks you out due to their own faults
So they have a "secure" system which requires that you set answers to a selection of three questions.
Then when you try to log in you get a different questions that you have set no answer to - of course you can't log in.
You can talk to a useless bot, or send a message that they may respond to in 10 days.
Appalling!
