Great experience selling my flat through Clyde Property. Efficient and reliable, they found a buyer quickly and the sale proceeded with minimal stress.

We were pleased for the start with the service, helpfulness and approachability of the team at Clyde in Helensburgh who were marketing our property. All the way through we were given good advice, helped through the process and felt that we had agents that were genuinely acting for us, not just out for a quick buck.
All in all, a successful experience from start to finish for us, thanks to Alan, Seona, Alison, Summer and the rest of the team. We’d highly recommend Clyde to anyone thinking of selling property in Helensburgh.

This is a follow-up to my April 2024 review. The flat itself was well presented and maintained — that’s why this remains a 2-star review.

The problem was the inspections. Clyde claim they do them every three months. In our 10+ years there, they happened every eight weeks for almost the entire tenancy. Only the last inspection — right before we moved out — followed the three-month schedule, after they changed policy.

Three examples:

Mould blame (2019): We were reported for bathroom mould despite thorough cleaning. In 2022, it was proven this was caused by a decades-old leak that had rotted the floor — not our fault — but the report stayed on record.

Privacy breach (2022): During bathroom floor repairs by the landlord’s friend, an inspector repeatedly questioned him (despite my wife explaining) and discussed our tenancy with him — unnecessary and inappropriate.

Odd scrutiny: Another inspector zoomed in to photograph the seat of a perfectly fine chair, with no explanation given.

After Clyde’s public reply to my first review, their Letting Director invited me to email him. I did so in November 2024, providing these details and confirming our decade-long tenancy — directly addressing their “no record” claim. He never replied.

The flat was nice, but inspections were far more frequent and intrusive than stated, and genuine tenant concerns went unanswered. Future tenants should be aware before signing.

Fantastic service, Clark was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and timely. He gave great advice and conducted a thorough genuine inspection of the house I was selling. His summary of the house on their website was worthy of note. Susan was also excellent in her advice and communication skills. The house was sold within 5 days and I would recommend anyone who is selling a house to use Clyde Property’s services.

I recently purchased a property through Clyde Bearsden. The team were amazingly helpful from the beginning, arranging a quick last minute viewing for us and a second evening viewing at short notice. Throughout the purchase process Jonny Riley went above and beyond when the solicitors were dragging their heels, liaising with the seller and his solicitor as well as the factor to get us all the information we needed - working right to the wire on the date of purchase and even having our keys hand delivered to us at my parents' house at 5.45pm! I don't think the purchase would have happened on time had Clyde not stepped in so we are very grateful and happy in our new home!

A great team at Clyde Property Bearsden, made the selling experience so manageable. They were all enthusiastic and professional at all times. Reassuring also and friendly with house viewers. I have no hesitation in writing this review and would thank them all, once again

Gillian in the Glasgow office has spent an inordinate amount of time over several weeks trying to track down a key to an electricity cupboard in order for work to be done at my rented property. Eventually she managed to have the lock changed, and a new lock with a code provided. many thanks Gillian, you're a star.

We recently sold our home with the help and support of the Stirling office. From start to finish Julie and the team made what could be stressful, seem very straight forward and a stress free transaction. The balance of professionalism and friendly service, coupled with market knowledge is truly impressive. I wouldn't hesitate to use Julie/Clyde again and I would recommend to friends and family.

I used Clyde Property Shawlands branch to sell my property after I had my offer accepted on a new one also through the same branch. Immediately I was impressed by how professional they were, with Kerr coming out to do my initial valuation. I had other quotes from their competitors, however Kerr provided a great breakdown of the costs, an overview of similar flats in my street and what the HR/final offers were, and realistically what price I could achieve for it.
My flat sold within 4 days, and Clyde were a breeze to deal with throughout. Kieran facilitated the sale, and he kept me up to date regularly with clear communication so I was always kept in the loop and never had to chase them. The final offer I accepted was also in line with the original quotes.
Admittedly Clyde are not the cheapest estate agent, however they were worth every penny for their sheer professionalism throughout and how easy they made a very stressful thing. Would highly recommend Clyde to anyone looking to sell their property!

We’ve had a frustrating experience with this agency due to poor communication and a lack of basic support and information. Key information about the usage and type of water heating system, electric meter, and circuit breakers was never provided, leaving us confused about how to operate it or set schedules. We also weren't told where to dispose of rubbish. On top of that, we were given incorrect information regarding the energy supplier, which caused additional complications. These issues may seem minor individually, but together they reflect a lack of care and attention to tenants’ needs. Would not recommend based on our experience.

This is about the Bearsden Office, about Nicola and Co. Comments are based on the sale of our property and observations from waiting in the office. What a nice friendly, professional bunch of people! Faultless knowledge of the market, sound advice on tactics, tremendous efficiency when it came to comms (far outscoring our lawyers!) and interested in their clients and what could be done for them. I spent my working life going into other people's offices and you get to know - and this is one anyone would be happy to work in. Mind you, I never did work out what that Gavin bloke actually does...........

The Clyde Property Bearsden Team were very impressive when selling my property in Jan 25. A very professional and friendly service provided from start to finish and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Recently bought a property in the finnieston area with the Clyde westend branch. The service was fantastic from the very beginning and I felt well looked after by the team. Email responses were fast and any questions I had were answered quickly and clearly. Upon picking up my keys I was welcomed in by the team with a big congratulations and my keys presented in a gift bag with a scented candle which was a nice touch. Couldn’t have asked for a better team to handle my property purchase!
