I took an item for restoration expecting that the damaged areas would be repainted to match the existing paintwork. To my horror the entire item was spray painted in a different type of paint and in different shades to how it was. Within a couple of weeks a small area that had been filled and not entirely rubbed down had cracks and flaking paint This was something that was about 100 years old and I am absolutely gutted.
