Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Chadwick Lawrence. The whole process was quick and easy, and everything was explained in a very simple, straightforward way.

They kept me updated throughout and were always available to offer advice whenever I needed it, which made a big difference. I never felt unsure about what was happening, and everything moved along smoothly from start to finish.

A special thank you to Giovanna, Kyra, and Zahira for their support and professionalism throughout—it was truly appreciated.

I’d definitely recommend Chadwick Lawrence to anyone looking for a stress-free and efficient service.

Inefficient, unprofessional and unfriendly

Our purchase, with no chain involved either side, took over 6 months to complete due to their lack of proactive chasing of the solicitors from the other side. This meant our original mortgage offer expired so they charged us £90 for having to process a new one, which was due to no fault of ours. Our fees also doubled throughout the process, making the costs much higher than the national average. We put in a formal complaint of how poorly our case was handled and received a very defensive and grammatical-error ridden response denying things that we had proof of in writing. Our case was also passed onto 3 different people, all of which were rarely contactable directly with information mostly passed on through their assistants who also failed to answer calls on many occasions. There was also plenty of mistakes in the final correspondence such as mixing mine and my partner's accounts up and incorrect spelling of the property address. If you want a fast, efficient and friendly service then go elsewhere. Chadwick Lawrence made this process extremely stressful which at times completely ruined the excitement of buying our first house.

Employment Legal Advice - Jack Oldroyd

I previously used Chadwick Lawrence at the end of last year when purchasing my first home with my partner, so when I was made redundant and needed advice on a settlement agreement, I didn’t hesitate to return to them.

I was quickly put in touch with Jack Oldroyd, who explained everything clearly and made the whole process easy to understand. He put me at ease throughout and was professional and supportive from start to finish.

I would highly recommend Jack for anyone needing straightforward and reliable employment legal advice.

Settling Help to Buy loan

We used Chadwick Lawrence when settling our help to buy lone. Process was made a lot easier with the use of their online portal, communication was consistent. Ben was friendly, efficient and kept us updated throughout.

Just 1st class

Just 1st class - end of. Megan C was friendly and efficient and did exactly what we wanted in a very good time frame. She was dealing with Help To Buy who are dire whose delays over 2 years cost us £30k but she got it sorted. Great!

Won't be a returning customer

I’ve found my experience with this firm to be quite frustrating so far. Communication has been very ineffective and unclear at times, resulting in multiple emails back and forth, and I’ve often had to chase for updates. As the seller, I’ve also been receiving grieves and negative feedback consistently from others involved in the transactions about the conveyancer, which has been difficult to manage.

I appreciate conveyancing can be complex, but as the target completion date keeps getting amended and pushed back as a whole, a more proactive and timely effective communication would make a significant difference. I hope the process progresses more smoothly from here.

Update: I appreciate the improved experience and practice towards the end, probably due to complaints/concerns raised. Pleased to have completed now.
