My husband & I visited the Cambridge store with our measurements to buy a specific carpet that we had purchased before but unfortunately this was not possible but Deep was extremely helpful in helping us purchase another carpet that suited our needs, we are very happy with the service provided & will be back soon for another carpet for a different room :)

What an amazing experience, from start to finish. All of my business was conducted through the Basildon branch and was warm and friendly from the start. I was pleasantly surprised at the sales technique which avoided high pressure sales and was not the normal process which I have previously experienced, when it has been to extract as much money as possible.

I discussed my needs, and these were then tailored by personable and knowldgeable staff. I was informed that certain elements of my list were simply a waste of money and I would achieve the same results without additional cost. That really was a first and actually very refreshing.

The fitters arrived on time, and did an amazing job. In and out within a couple of hours, The only thing which I would have changed would be for the fitters to take away the excess, but thanks to a greedy individual who successfully prosecuted fitters for stealing her off cuts, this isn't a service which is offered any more.
Shame on them, ruined it for everyone.

My experience from start to finish was exceptional, courteous, professional, a real pleasure doing business with them.

We had a very disappointing experience with Carpets4Less (Cambridge branch) and would not recommend them based on our experience.

Problems started at the outset. We selected a specific flooring product and were told it was available, so we paid in full. We were later informed that the product was not actually in stock. When we asked for a refund, this was not handled professionally; instead, we felt pressured to choose an alternative product.

The replacement product did not match what we had originally seen or expected once installed. When we raised this concern, it was dismissed rather than addressed constructively.

Serious problems emerged shortly afterwards the installation was complete. Multiple upstairs rooms developed loud and persistent crackling noises when walked on. These issues continued unresolved for over two months, during which time we experienced ongoing disruption, repeated site visits, and prolonged correspondence without resolution.

An independent inspection later confirmed that the flooring and adhesive were not defective, but identified multiple issues with the installation system and preparation. Despite having arranged the assessment, specification and installation process, Carpets4Less refused to accept any responsibility. Instead, responsibility was repeatedly pushed onto the fitter, with no ownership of the assessment or system they had specified.

This pattern of blame‑shifting, rather than accountability, characterised the entire after‑sales process. Communication was defensive and dismissive, and even after escalating the matter to the head office, no meaningful or resolution‑focused response was provided.

Ultimately, we had no choice but to pay again to have the flooring replaced by another provider. The alternative company carried out a proper pre‑installation assessment and installed an appropriate system. The replacement flooring has been fault‑free.

Based on our experience, Carpets4Less added no real value beyond acting as a middleman, while refusing responsibility when things went wrong. In hindsight, a better and cheaper option would have been to purchase the flooring directly online and hire a competent fitter independently.

We would not use Carpets4Less again and would advise others to approach with caution.

Can't recommend Mike enough! We went in with my measurements and ordered carpet on Sunday. Then I realised I measured wrong. Mike called me at 10am the next day,came round at 11am re-measuerd and it was all sorted. By the end of the week called to say it was in but no rush as he knew sofas weren't coming for another month. He was great with my big dog when he came round. Amazing service 👍

Very helpful and knowledgeable bloke (Mike) at the Stoke-on-Trent store. He explained everything about the carpet, and when it would be fitted. Very thorough. Would definitely use Carpets 4 Less again. ⭐️

The carpets laid were lovely good job done by your fitter, £250 +£15 for joining strip, however what he left behind is out of order it will cost me £85 to get it all removed when I said to him about taking his reply was oh well not called carpets 4 less for nuffin and left.

Very disappointed I wasn’t advised about that either.

This was the second time I’ve purchased carpet from the Swindon store. Great quality and prices, particularly for things like underlay.
Measuring and fitting services were great. Had 3 separate fittings by two groups of fitters, both very professional and did a great job!

Visited the Milton Keynes store (having been let down by the local Tapi carpets). Jess was very knowledgable and helped us find a suitable carpet within our budget and time constraints. Just a few weeks later, Max arrived to fit the new carpets in all 4 bedrooms as well as the landing/stairs - again, clearly very experienced and professional - we couldn't believe he did it all in one day? Fantastic experience overall and we will definitely be using this store again.

Slick service, carpet good quality just what we needed for a bedroom. Lots of choice and good price. Definitely return to Carpets4Less in the future . Also the fitting of the carpet is perfect / zero issues !
