Camping World website robbed me of over $2,000!

I was very unhappy when I went to purchase a refrigerator off the website. After multiple attempts at purchasing online, with notifications stating my card would not be charged till the transaction was completed, however my card was charged four different times!!! All for the exact same amount that the fridge was going to cost me! Thankfully the store honored the online deal of $150 off, because I had to drive seven hours round trip just to pick it up. I just pray my money is returned soon, as they took over $700 four different times on the website!!! That’s over $2,000 of money I have to wait to get returned! 🤦🏼‍♀️😡🤬

I requested information on a unit and told they'd send that and pictures since it was a consignment. Needless to say, I didn't get any information or pictures, I called back to ask about it and I was dismissed and treated very rudely. I believe that because I'm deaf and require texting or emailing that I was PUT ON THE BACK BURNER! Camper world definitely isn't deaf friendly by any means! So I will advise my peers to not deal with them because they won't be taken seriously like other customers.

DO NOT Waste your TIME or $$

We took our 2022 Keystone Carbon into the store in Fountain Colorado for a recall to be repaired. While we had it in the shop there were a few other minor issue we needed to have addressed so we asked that those be taken care of as well. We knew there were a few items that parts may need to be ordered for so we expected they would have the rig a couple of weeks. We had a MAJOR trip coming up in a little over a month so we thought that would be enough time to get the rig in and out. Needless to say this this was an entire struggle and we finally demanded that they return our rig. Several of our issues were not taken care of, and we were told they were , to include the entire reason I had the rig in ! The recall , that we were told was taken care of was NOT repaired, my husband discovered when he went to pit up the rig, even though he was told the day prior that it was fixed !! I have NEVER had such a horrible experience at a "professional" dealership. I had posted something on their FB page as well and was contacted by corporate and was told they had contacted the dealership and I should be hearing from them within a week...here we are 1 1/2 months later...crickets ... NEVER again. DO NOT go to Camping World for ANYTHING

Camping crooks…

Camping World is not an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and generally has very poor ratings and negative customer reviews on the BBB website and other platforms. The company often receives a high volume of complaints related to its sales practices, service quality, and customer support.
Common customer complaints
Many of the negative reviews and BBB complaints for Camping World detail a range of frustrating customer experiences. These include:
Deceptive sales tactics: Customers often report bait-and-switch pricing, last-minute fees, and a high-pressure sales process, especially in the finance department.
Poor service department quality: Many buyers complain of long delays for service and warranty work. Reports describe damages that occurred while the RV was in the company's care, uncompleted repairs, and a lack of communication from staff.
Extended warranty problems: The expensive extended warranties sold by Camping World are frequently described as "worthless" by customers who say the company often finds reasons not to cover repairs.
Bad customer service: Across many complaints, customers report being ignored by management, not receiving return calls or emails, and staff being unprepared or unhelpful.
Poor quality assurance: Used RVs have been sold with undisclosed leaks and damage. Even new units may be delivered with defects, and the company's "45-point inspection" is widely considered to be a joke by customers.
A pattern of negative feedback
Corporate-level issues: Reddit and YouTube discussions frequently point out that many of the tactics and issues appear to be widespread and encouraged at the corporate level.
Customer testimonials: Forums and review sites, including the BBB, are filled with negative testimonials from customers who regret doing business with the company. Social media groups exist specifically for dissatisfied Camping World customers.
DO NOT TRUST THEM OR DO BUISNESS WITH THEM.
My encounter was with the Woodstock Ga. Location… I dealt with Cody Washington and Wes Newcomer the location Manager. They cannot be trusted.

Tried to scam us again.

We were surprised with a check from camping world last year. Because they lost a 3.5 million lawsuit for ripping of customers. Today after 48 days of having our rv to replace a power converter and told our roof was leaking at the front vent I went on the roof and found no issues with our seals. No cracking, lifting, separation, peeling. They quoted us $10K to replace our roof! For nothing!

I cannot advise folks enough to stay away from this company when it comes to purchasing an RV or trailer. Even as a lawyer, trying to exercise my rights and seek appropriate remedies was made more difficult by a store and manager that refused to be truthful and admit wrongdoing. Corporate assisted after a drawn out battle. The repairs were done poorly and never corrected.

They are more than happy to help sell…

They are more than happy to help sell you an expensive unit, but they do Not inspect them before selling them. We started having issues as soon as we purchased it. Electrical parts and parts for the table were literally missing, wires were were dangling underneath, the alignment was off, and the generator has never worked correctly. We had someone from the service department tell us that we should consider ourselves lucky because most of the units they sell have even more problems. It has now been in their shop for months and now that it’s out of warranty this month they are telling us they are just now starting to work on it but it’s not going to be covered because they didn’t get around to it back in July. Do not go with this dealership for anything, they will screw you

Camping world cut light wires and denies

I took my break on July 11, 2025 for a landing gear issue that was under warranty and they had the parts already took them over two months to put them on why I was waiting. I asked them to about a satellite dish on top of the roof and while they were doing that, they cut my 12 V system of lights to the back bathroom in my rig. I also took pictures of everything. This other mechanic found took it to Camping World and they denied me because I did not bring my rig to them so in hindsight if you want your rig to work correctly and them taking shortcuts, please take it to Camping if not find a reliable mechanic to work on rig

My husband and I were working with Kacy…

My husband and I were working with Kacy at the Buford, Ga location. We set up a meeting to purchase a camper. We were told 3,000 down. We spent over 4 hrs there just to be told 4,800 down. After we agreed to the 4,800 the next day we were told it was a misunderstanding and that the GM wouldn’t adjust the price as we were told. So 2 days of waisted time and stress and over 4 hrs drive time we still didn’t end up with the camper. They could have been honest for the jump and saved us all the trouble. I absolutely would not recommend. Also, when we were sent the “number” they were trying to charge us almost 3,000 for things we did not need. Sway bar and hitch (we had) and a starter kit. Pay attention to the charges and I hope you have better luck than we did!

Incompetent and Liars…

If could give this company a negative 100 star review I would. Since they took over lazy days in woodland the service and quality are absent. I have taken my Rv to this location for several years. NOW I will contemplate selling as there are no trust worthy Tiffin service centers available. This location in woodland is riddled with verbally abusive employees and rig damaging service flunkies.

We bought a 17 r Coleman trailer

We bought a 17 r Coleman trailer. We went camping and it was 90 degrees trailer was in the sun air conditioner wasn’t not keeping trailer cool. Called Jordan from service said they were having issues and putting bigger air conditioners in some bought it to them and they kept it for 2 months didn’t do anything and they didn’t even call us when they wanted us to pick it up. Then my wife went down to get it and they needed to unlock it they finally came out to unlock it and unlocked it and walked away and my wife was alone and didn’t offer to help her hook it up. Terrible place for service I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy anything there. BEWARE OF CAMPING WORLD NOBODY HAS GIVEN THEM A GOOD REVIEW.

They said that they were having problem’s with Coleman 17 r keeping cool and that they will replace it. They lied to me. They kept it for two months and didn’t even call me when they said it was ready was when I called them and it had been ready for a week and a half. I get down there. They won’t put the new air conditioning unit in it. It was locked. I cannot get my trailer hooked up. They came out. They unlocked it and walked off. Didn’t even help me hook my trailer up in Tulsa and I was a woman by myself.

Purchased our new Coachmen Northern…

Purchased our new Coachmen Northern Spirit in March of this year. We actually just stopped to look and this location used to be Pan Pacific in French Camp Ca. Camping World had purchased it at sometime in the last year or so. Anyway sales person was good and we spent a lot of time looking at many different trailers, unfortunately for me my wife talked me into purchasing the coachmen. We currently had a 2014 coachmen class C. First issue was I had no idea what it cost until I asked, next I believe the sales persons Dad comes in giving us the breakdown including our trade in. All seemed okay except this 1900 charge that he said was camping prep. It was called something else but basically he said it included propane and checking out the trailer. Okay gave him a down payment and set up the appointment a week later to pick it up noted a few issues right away with the salesman that needed to get fixed.
Showed up to pick it up and that's when everything started to go downhill. Waited 40 minutes past our appointment to speak with anyone, start the walk through and nothing was fixed that I noticed a week prior, guy show us stuff on the outside than he pointed out the stove microwave Fridge but never showed us how to start it. New 12 volt system. Shows us the bathroom and he operated the toilet and water sprayed everywhere. My first thought was all the wood was going to be damaged and expand from the water. So he went to get towels I took his circuit tester and finished checking things. So after that the walkthrough was done. Met the aka warranty guy and pointed out a few issues that we found and the guy who did the walkthrough said the toilet was fixed. She gives up a form that said nothing was due to us. No we wait for the financial guy. Now it's almost 5 pm. He knew I was getting pissed off so he called the GM because it was important for him to know. So after another 45 mins just discussing our first 2 hours at the dealership. So he gives us the weight distribution hitch so that saved us 1000,00 very generous since I wasn't looking for anything I was just very frustrated at that point. So we finished up with the paperwork purchased some of the extras like ext warranty ceramic coating interior protection.
Next day I had to call because I couldn't find the cord for the trailer. Great found it.
Now it time to bring it back to have the ceramic coating interior protection done. Get there at 8 took a hour because we had to wait for a Stacy now it 9 final they wrote it up said it would take about 5 hours. Since we live 1 1/2 away I took the wife to lunch and did some errands too. Get a call at noon saying it was ready. Get there packed in front and OMG. The thing was dirtier than when we left it. Went to find this Stacy, she started to ague with me about how the trailer looked and I that point I didn't believe they did anything, except it smelled like scotch guard inside and she said they sprayed everything walls ceiling everything. Big lie because we had stuff in there that was never touched so really? I get a pamphlet say it was done but no idea how to care for it. I ended up calling the company who made the product.
They cleaned up the trailer and hopefully we were done with CW. But no that lucky , missing some items that coachmen sent me , was checking for propane leaks and had a leaking tank that they didn't check, had to drive down again for a replacement. Oh for 1900.00 for that set up charge you don't even get TP anymore a hose water regulator drain hose . WOW. And nobody checks the propane tanks for leaks.
Finally was checking stuff to get ready for an our first trip and that didn't happen. That broken toilet was still broken as it sprayed water everywhere again, bathroom drains were plugged and I guess not checked, turned out stuff was stuck in the bathtub line. I fixed that, toilet was replaced by CW corp . That's another disaster dealing with their customer service. Great let's go camping except the refrigerator doesn't work hum I guess my fault because the freeze was really cold but the guy didn't know much about it during the walk though nor did he explain the solar. Going in for service to fix the fridge next month but not to CW. Coachmen found me another dealership to go to. Finally that distribution hitch was installed incorrectly and actually the bracket on the passenger side moved 4 inches forward. Scary. So though all this and number 5 Rv since 1995 I have never dealt with such an inexperienced company ever. Forget about their 24/7 service line he just gave me the number to Lippert for my refrigerator problem.Good Sam elite is no different than regular Good Sam interesting. So I will be canceling All the Good Sam extended warranty, 24/7 service line roadside assistance. Sorry the worst experience I ever had Experienced. Do you homework. Very Disappointed.

Went to Camping World in Jackson

Went to Camping World in Jackson, MS today met with a saleswoman who wanted all my information. I did not want to give my information as I hadn't seen what they had in stock yet. She then asked what price range I was looking at I then told her I did not know yet. She did not say a word, just got up and went to her managers office. So I got up and left. I mean a sales person is supposed to work some. I sent an email with a complaint but they did not get back to us, and I did not really expect them too. Anyway we are in the market to buy and we will not be buying from them their loss, and I will tell everyone I know to skip that stop.

Horrible buying experience and service…

Horrible buying experience and service experience. I am upset that I wasn’t allowed to give them 0 stars for this review.

In May 2025, I went to the Swedesboro, NJ location to see motorhomes because I have always wanted to buy one, and planned on buying one the start of the summer. I was rushed through the RVs on their lot, and I had to ask to see some multiple times because I wasn’t shown a number of them. I felt as though they did not want my business or did not have time for me. After being rushed through the RVs on the lot, I was taken to the front sales office and asked if I wanted to buy one of the ones I liked. The salesperson was rude, condescending, and very pushy to make a sale the entire time. I told them I wasn’t buying that day because I had a few places that I wanted to visit before making a decision. This is why I think that I wasn’t made to feel welcome from the very start.

Next, he asked me questions about how much I wanted to put down, finance, etc… I said I am not at that point and that I plan to pay cash or use financing that I already secured. I asked them their interest rate and would use Camping World’s financing if it was better. They wouldn’t give me a rate and wanted to run my credit. I told them I just want some info on what the rate I could expect given my credit score and not to run a credit application because I am either paying cash or using financing that I already secured.

They were dismissive, condescending, arrogant, and did not treat me with any respect as a first time buyer.

It was so bad of an experience that I travelled over 900 miles to a Campers Inn RV in Naperville, Illinois to buy my motorhome and drive it back home.

I decided to give Camping World one more chance to win my business since they are close, have many locations, and I will need service on my RV at some point. I had a few upgrades that I wanted to make and a couple of issues that needed to be fixed that are under warranty. I got estimates and setup an appointment. I called the day before my appointment to confirm that the parts are there because they needed to order some, and confirm my time of the appointment. No one returned my call that day or replied to my email. I called the next day soon as they opened, the day of the appointment, and they told me I wasn’t on the schedule. I was very frustrated and upset because I almost drove all the way there and scheduled my trip with this appointment in my calendar and setup weeks in advance. Again, they made me feel like I am the person that was confused and mistaken, and that I was dumb. I emailed them to show my calendar appointment and the day it was created weeks in advance, and they told me that I was mistaken. I spoke to managers and the GM who kept telling me there was a confusion. When I said there was no confusion on my end, and asked him to be clear on who was confused, he said that I was confused.

The Camping World of Swedesboro, NJ is absolutely horrible, not managed well, and has horrible customer service. They have no accountability, treat the customer like the customer is the person that is wrong and stupid, and have no idea how to treat customers.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Stay away from this place unless you hate yourself and want to be treated badly.

The ABSOLUTE WORST RV service EVER!

The ABSOLUTE WORST RV service EVER!! They have had our RV over 4 months. They have told us it was fixed only to drive 100 miles planning to take it on vacation for it to be not fixed and torn apart and trashed from the workers. They have lied to us repeatedly about what action is being taken. If you value your sanity DO NOT deal with them at all.
