Outstanding service and seamless installation
I had an amazing pre-sales experience and the service has been excellent ever since. Every call I made was answered within seconds by someone directly involved in my connection, meaning no time was wasted "catching up" or being transferred. When my building management requested additional details to authorize the install, Harris went above and beyond—coordinating directly with the installation team and management to ensure everything was in place. The connection has been rock solid since day one.

I recently switched to Cambridge Fibre and couldn't be happier. Their responsiveness is incredible – I was talking to a real person within seconds on the phone. The installation process was super quick and incredibly neat; they even ran the cable exactly where I wanted it. The service is extremely reliable and low latency, a massive improvement on virgin media. Their prices are very reasonable, and it's wonderful to have a local company you can call up if anything goes wrong. Highly recommended!

Fabulous install of fast & reliable fibre optic cable
Fabulous install of fibre optic cable - installer was really helpful and used some conduit I had prepared to get the fibre to my mini-server room in the centre of my house. They even moved the overhead dropwire bracket so that I could replace my gutters in the near future. Internet speed is blistering fast - 913Mbps down, 849Mbps up, latency 2ms. And most importantly uptime is 100% - so much better than Virgin with their damp shortcircuiting co-ax cables and outdated street cabinet equipment.

So far so good. It's been a couple of weeks. Good customer service - easy to get through on the phone. Very efficient installation - the same day! Good communication. No problems with internet service.

I registered my interest to sign up for…
I registered my interest to sign up for full fibre thinking that it may be a few weeks/months wait as fttp in my area is very new, engineers only just finished working in the street. To my pleasant surprise, the same day Cambridge Fibre rang me back and said that I could be connected whenever I wished. No pressure, explained everything to me upfront, able to choose how to pay, direct debit or card payments, good price too. With Christmas just around the corner I decided to wait until the new year 2026. I am very pleased with the install, the engineer involved me in the decision making process of where I want the overhead cable, the router etc. looks neat and tidy install. The head office printed out a personalised guide on my connection and how to login to the router, I did have to tweak a few bits on the router management page to setup the network and devices at home to my preference, might change the router to one of my own choosing but the supplied one is adequate enough. Good speed, which is why I went to a full fibre connection. Ping of around 4ms to test server. I am enjoying a solid connection with no dropouts, no speed throttling or downtime. Have been with Cambridge Fibre since they installed in our village in late 2020.
After having dealt with the typical selection of broadband suppliers, CF's focus on customer satisfaction has been so good that after more than 5 years I have no desire to leave!
Their customer support is incredibly friendly and efficient, their quality of product (including the physical router) is excellent and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Friendly, attentive, personal service. Hassle-free installation. Speak to real, knowledgeable people in customer service, instantly - no chatbots, foreign call centres or literally hours on hold. Broadband service itself has been first rate, and it's saved me £40/month on what I was paying V***in.
Very good but caveats
I'm happy I made the switch to CF 2 years ago. Stable, high upload and download speeds, at competitive pricing. Installation in our village did not require digging up pavements! The only weakness is customer service. I've had one multi-hour outage. I need to quickly know if that is my problem only, or area wide. CF's status page was never updated, and never showed an outage. A call and email went unanswered. An accurate and updated service page and a simple means of reporting faults is absolutely necessary. If CF grows and fails to invest in customer facing services then it will ultimately fail as a business. A second comment is around updating firmware on the supplied router. The way to do this looks very technically complex, and may not be necessary. But I'm in the dark about this. I expect CF to address firmware updating in advice emails to all customers.
