Ordered an item on 30th April

Ordered an item on 30th April, never arrived. On 5th May chased this up, to be told it had been reordered and would be with us on 7th, still no arrival so chased it up again on the 11th only to be told (in 1 email) it had been signed for at 11Hello Julie,

Thank you for your reply.
On checking the tracking of the order it shows that the parcel has been returned to us, I am sorry. We will process a new order for you today to be delivered to you on Wednesday.
My apologies for any confusion.

2nd email stated:-
Chased up again today and got this Thank you for your message.
On checking the tracking I can see that we placed a replacement order for you which is showing as delivered on the 7th May at 11:31?
As we replaced the item no refund would be due.

I have asked for a copy of tracking and this has not been provided,
Totally unsatisfactory and your staff seem unable to know what they are doing,

Caboodle - 3rd party Amazon trader BEWARE!

I ordered from Caboodle through Amazon as a 3rd party supplier (google their address because they seem to trade under other names as well: SO23 7RX). They delivered an obviously damaged clock and it has now been 3 weeks since delivery that I have been fighting for a refund. I have spent hours on chat to Amazon to get this sorted as their customer service is very poor. I was going to order a replacement clock, but in the end decided it was too much hassle dealing with their slow email responses. I eventually got a refund after a lot of stressful emails back and forth and I would certainly not deal with Caboodle again.

We are sorry that the item arrived damaged to you. We have been and looked back through all correspondence exchanged with you via Amazon. All messages were exchanged around the Easter weekend. As a company we were closed from Good Friday and Easter Monday as these were bank holidays. When we re-opened 14th April we replied to resolve this query for you, by that point you had independently contacted Amazon directly to arrange the return. They advised you incorrectly that you could return the goods to our address. We offer a free collection service from you to prevent any costs being incurred.
As with all office based businesses we are working from home due to COVID-19 and the government guidelines. No one is at our normal address to receive these goods. We did advise you that this could be a possibility and that Hermes ( the collection service you decided to use) could return the parcel. It was not until today you have given us the Hermes tracking number so we could try and resolve this for you. The Hermes parcel as we suspected is being returned to you – we will communicate further via Amazon now to resolve this with you. A refund has been processed via Amazon and we will arrange a collection by our couriers once Hermes deliver the item back to you.

Not as bad as I feared

Not as bad as I feared. Prompt delivery, with two items omitted and one extra included. Poor packing but damage only superficial. You get what you pay for.

Highly recommend

Highly recommend, my experience contradicts many of the reviews on this site.....
I trolled the internet for best price on paper, they were the cheapest inclusive price by far, then the delivery far outstripped my expectations, product with me in less than 24 hours form order time and only at standard delivery charge!, not even debited my credit card at time of delivery, what more could anyone wish for, maybe I'm one of the few to have a great experience, but will certainly give them a look next time I want similar products, Hope things improve for you Caboodle.

This company website is a scam -- do not trust them

I ordered a Caboodle from the company's official website one month ago and was immediately disappointed by my experience.

First, the shipping price was about the same as the item -- I bit the bullet because I really wanted a Caboodle to store my makeup.

Next, the item flat-out never shipped. I contacted the company through the link in my order confirmation email ... no response. I contacted them directly through the website ... no response.

Now, for the past several days, I've been trying to get customer service on the phone for a refund (which I read here is almost impossible). I have, so far, not gotten through to anyone no matter what extension or number I try.

I am enraged. I want my money back. I'm going to the Better Business Bureau.

Do not buy from these people

Do not buy from these people. The website and delivery page clearly says next day delivery! When I called and informed that UPS's website information said that my order will not be delivered the next day due to an issue with the address, they told me it will be delivered the following day, so that's not NEXT DAY DELIVERY. When confronted the customer service employee, she said: "We aim to deliver in 3 days". I said "Nowhere on your website does it say, you aim to deliver your order in 3 days. It says next day delivery." She then proceeded to tell me: "It does not say guaranteed anywhere." Well, this is outrageous. Just type it on your damn website that it's not next day delivery, so people won't buy from your stupid company. I asked for a full or partial refund for the shipping and it was denied. They made the mistake and did not send my full address to UPS. Don't buy from these people. Just in case some smart-behind wants to respond to my review, you can e-mail me. My order number is 202376.

Hello, We are sorry you feel this way. We do not, as my colleague has advised, guarantee next working day delivery. As I'm sure you can appreciate 99 point something percent of orders are delivered to plan but occasionally deliveries are affected by factors that are beyond our control - traffic jams, bad weather etc. - and there is therefore by definition no such thing as a "guaranteed" delivery, whether from us or from anyone else... The 3 working days you refer to, I believe my colleague was explaining if they were to miss you they would attempt to delivery on 2 further consecutive days, giving the 3 working days you mention.
We do strive to offer it where possible but sadly in this instance your full address did not transmit fully to UPS so they were unable to deliver. We have now updated your address for the order that you have placed with us and this should be with you tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Placed an order for a box of A4 Paper

Placed an order for a box of A4 Paper. The deal was posted on HUKD and this was the first time I have ever used Caboodle's website. Order was placed without any problems and I received an email confirmation. Nothing has arrived and after logging into my caboodle account, it now says "Order Cancelled". Absolutely no communication from this company whatsoever. Have no idea why they cancelled and why they couldn't fulfill. Joke of a company and will not be using again. Poor buying experience.

The paper that you ordered was published in error as a free of charge item on our website. This 'deal' was published on the HUKD site but was clearly described by the author as an 'error - get in quick' rather than a genuine deal.

We are very sorry that this incident occured in the first place and now have additional measures in place to ensure this does not happen again in the future but I am sure you can understand why we would withdraw this 'offer' and cancel any orders.

Have been looking for a new stationary…

Have been looking for a new stationary provider for our company. Came across Caboodle and with the really low price thought we would give them a go on 1 item. Only thing I can say is they are cheap.

Placed my order on 2nd May, with no delivery options available or confirmation on email, I started the 'web chat' with Caboodle. They confirmed next day delivery as they had plenty of stock, so would be with me 3rd.
Received invoice 3rd, but still no delivery. I really appreciate bank holidays/weekends etc. but to promise a customer next day with no intention of it, is certainly not something I look for in a supplier.

Luckily this item wasn't urgent, just a 'test' run and hopefully we will receive delivery today. I certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone unless your not in a rush and can afford to not know when your delivery will be with you. Us on the other hand, will be still on the look out for a supplier.

Unethical Practices - and possibly illegal

My personal experience is that this company promotes stock on its website that is not actually available. The prices are highly competitive so it probably generates a relatively high volume of relatively low value sales. It takes a customer's money - then does not deliver the product (as the product is not actually for sale). The refund process actually needs to be initiated by the customer - so many people and businesses might not even notice or chase up small value transactions. Caboodle, I would imagine, generates interest income on balances received that are sitting in its accounts, awaiting refund. I won't be using caboodle again - and will be warning others of this unethical approach.

Just checked the topline of their accounts - and this stacks up - lots of cash and liabilities greater than assets. Surely this must be their 'strategy'... best steer clear and hope they disappear!

Falsely claiming items in stock, very poor communication

No warning that items were not in stock at the point of ordering. No initial communication that the order would be delayed. When I enquired about the status of the order, they apologised and promised the items would be with me the next Monday. Still nothing, and no communication from them. I enquired again, and was told that the item was still not available and they had no idea when it would be. Cancelled the order at that point, having wasted two weeks.
Avoid them.

Dishonest, misleading and falsely stating goods are available

I placed an order for 3 different types of folder, 3 colours on 09FEB15.
Product Code: KF02148 A4 Red - KF02147 A4 Blue - KF02146 A4 Green - KF02148
It clearly stated there were 7 of each available.
An email received today states:- the 3 items on your order have been discontinued. Unfortunately there is no alternative for these items therefore I have requested a refund for the items. Please allow 3-5 working days for this to show in your account.Becky North
Customer Service. Told to refund the credit card immediately. We will see what happens but I have stated that I am charging interest if they do not make the refund.

If everyone did this it would STOP companies like this immediately. The credit card companies should withdraw their services also as they condone these activities as they still make money at the consumers inconvenience and expense.

17FEB15 Two weeks after saying they have no stock of the following products including Green and Red Q Connect Blue Extra Capacity Carry File - KF02146 they still state they have 7 of each in stock. They deliberately mislead individuals stating false product stock to gain pecuniary advantage by deception besides wasting peoples time placing orders that are never met and the inconvenience that is deliberately caused in recovering monies.

They are also involved in making telephone calls contrary to the Data Protection Laws!! Junk calls and making even more of a nuisance.

Dreadful service - won't use again

Ordered goods in October. Almost two months later and several phone calls querying delivery still haven't received goods despite payment being taken at time of order. Now having problems getting refund. No apology either!
