They buy their products from other companies and sell them at a higher price. I don't know why they call themselves "buy it direct", perhaps it's because they advise the customers to buy directly from the manufacturer, not from them. They take your money and deliver the item quite fast. If your item is not damaged or faulty you are lucky. But if it is faulty, they aren't interested in your complaint. They will redirect you to the company from which they got the product, regardless of whether you have ever heard of that company or bought the product from them. You need to prepare for a long and painful journey if you want to recover your money.
I ordered a washing machine, but it was faulty. In addition to the washing machine's price, they charged me a recurring fee which I never requested. The first installation team flooded my house. The company offered a replacement, which I accepted. The second team collected the faulty washing machine on 22 July. Because the floor was damaged by the first team, they could not install the replacement, so we agreed to refund the installation package. However, when the second team collected the faulty machine, they damaged my furniture. On 28 July, I received an email saying the company would refund the washing machine. I told them immediately this was an error because the machine had already been replaced and no refund was required. They then said they could not find the order number. Later, Appliances Direct requested collection of the machine. I clearly explained that the faulty washing machine had already been collected and the replacement works well. I suggested returning the erroneous refund. They accepted this but then sent me an order of an double amount. It took about 7 tries for them to get the right amount, but I am not holding my breath because they might come back threatening again with "further actions".
The damage to my property, the time spent on phone calls and emails, the lack of concern and respect, disconnected calls, threats, rudeness, and incorrect payments ....They have not got a clue what they're doing, and they don't care about anything. I wonder how they manage to function...

AVOID… Never have ever dealt with such a terrible company in my life. The stress and aggravation they have cause me since making an order has been unexplainable. I made an order of a single door with next day delivery, this was meant to arrive on the Friday, never showed. Called customer service who said it might show up on Saturday, didn’t show. This then changed to Monday and shock, it didn’t show! Customer service who were very helpful, ordered another door to be delivered the following morning ( Tuesday). I arranged for someone to be there for this as I had work, they stayed all morning and nothing turned up. This is all despite receiving a delivery notification the day prior saying delivery will take place. Wednesday at 6:30pm when I home from work there was a door left outside. I thought great finally after 4 no shows it’s here. Opened the box to find one of the glass panes splashed. Spoke to customer service AGAIN. Explained if they use another delivery provider id be happy for them to send another but was informed this is their only provider. In this case I asked then to refund me and I went elsewhere (I went to Climadoor who provided a much better door to door tracked service which arrived ON TIME). Thought this would be the end of this saga but no, I am now being harassed by this company to send back the first door… WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED! Apparently this was “signed” for by me on a day I was not at the property and despite me explaining I have not received this they keep harassing me to send back an invisible door!! The ironic part is they won’t collect their broken door, I have to incur further cost to dispose of this myself. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY

They are easy to contact and a pleasant team. The phone was delivered by secure courier in 24 hours.

The ac unit was delivered quickly but paid for installation and being continually fobbed off .. the installation alone was £1100 . The customer service is US based all they do is put you on hold and feed you lies to get you off the phone … Avoid at all costs .

I bought my son a very expensive gaming computer from laptop direct. I have paid buy it direct £6.50 a month since for extended warranty with the promise of a "no questions asked replacement" if something goes wrong.
It took over a week of back and forth calls and emails for them to agree to have the computer collected to check for a "motherboard issue". They had the machine for 14 days and have returned it saying it had no fault. Despite my sending them a video of it and them hearing it over a call. Not only that but the machine has been returned with bent casing and a snapped off front cover. I'm absolutely disgusted. Do not spend your money on their computers and most certainly don't waste your money on an "extended warranty". My autistic son has been so distressed without his computer, was so happy to get it back" working" only to find it more broken and still not working. Shame on you buy it direct!

The matter was only picked up after I escalated directly to the CEO. It was then passed to an Executive Complaints Manager, who acknowledged the failures and apologised, but the whole process still took over five weeks from start to finish. Throughout this period, during the hottest spell of the year so far, we had no working air conditioning with two young children in the house.

Once the correct part finally arrived, I was offered £30 goodwill, later revised to £40 (which simply included a refund of the £10 originally paid for the part). I found this offer insulting given the scale of the failures and the impact on our household. When I asked whether an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution provider could review the case, I was told they are aware of a certified provider but choose not to use them, relying instead on their own internal process, and the complaint was then closed without my agreement.

The correct part did eventually arrive, but the process to get there, and the response once I complained, fell well short of a reasonable standard.

Price good, product delivered quickly. The only slight negative was the follow-up phone call to try and sell an extended warranty.

Appliances only get delivered to the ground and first floor. Also they only have 10 minutes to complete a delivery and take an old appliance .

Ordered a reconditioned iPhone because it was at least £200 cheaper than buying one new in any other store. I am delighted with the item, it is as good as new. Delivery was very fast – next day and communication was very good. Would highly recommend.

Easy to complete my transaction. No problems this end. Thank you. Delivery was free if you didn't want a timed slot. But I waited 2 weeks to get free delivery

Ordered Sunday 19/07/26 and arrived Tuesday 21/07/26 with standard delivery service having not to pay extra. Excellent. To be installed today 24/07/26. Hopefully no problems. Replacing like for like.

Absolutely appalling customer communication. My order has been held then delayed and finally cancelled, all the time in between I kept getting mixed messages and clarifications about delivery etc. I completely understand if stock runs out, as long as it’s communicated everything is fine, but to reach delivery date (2 weeks later than originally been told) and then be told that it’s out of stock…not great at all
