Green Administration are a disaster &waste money

The Green Administration have been a disaster for Hove and Brighton. They have wasted money on mad schemes which only benefit about 5% of the Residents, and upset the 95% who cannot cycle, or do not want to cycle. I would urge Residents who do NOT agree with them altering road systems for the worse to WRITE INDIVIDUALLY DIRECT TO THE COUNCIL stating they are responsible for adding to air pollution (a public health issue which affects ALL of us young, old, disabled, or cyclist), ignored Walkers (all of us), Disabled people - putting floating parking spaces so you get run over by the one lane of traffic left running, or cyclists on the other!! Very hard for the vy young, elderly & disabled people esp needing to unload equipment as well as themselves!

I moved to Brighton in 2013 my god I’ve made some mistakes in my time but that is the worst can’t wait to move away early next year. I forgot to pay my council tax because of family upset and now issued with a £100 fine i think the council are playing the board game monopoly with us ,mind you they don’t do anything else but play games and drink tea and coffee it’s a shame they can’t do the job their paid for like keeping it clean and tidy and well maintained.i would really like to know what they do with all the money they fraudulently collect.i wish the fraud squad would look into their accounts I bet they would have a field day . Well so long The bloody Green Party. You should be called the dirty RAT party

hello all in brighton and hove the bin men do a great job collecting our rubbish every week/fortnight/ so we are not wallowing in our own filth and rubbish they deserve a pay rise for the job they do! or would the council members pick up the quantlet and do the rubbish rounds? instead ? for the people who keep our streets clean i say they are worth their weight in gold ! we dont need to spend more money on another arndale shopping centre [with empty shops] spend it on the people who do the least liked jobs ! and or get the unemployed to help ? whilst you sort things out ! remember we do not want another plague or other miasmas! we have enough with cov! just do the right thing and give them their due thanking you for listening

Can't get through to parking services.

Can't get through to parking services.

I have been trying all week to call parking services. They only bother to work from 9-1:30 so I have to do it during work hours but I have been left on hold for over an hour every time and never get through to anyone.

You can be sure that the fine I receive for parking outside my house despite trying to sort it won't be this difficult to get hold of....

Ruthless parking penalties and…

Ruthless parking penalties and application/visitors permits restrictions rake in the charges, which take priority over actually providing parking.

Council tax court summons and penalties with no option to pay monthly for people on universal credit! How?

Crap council Hello EHL Environmental Protection

(Noise Students 22 New England Road Brighton BN1 3TU)

I have contacted the council on so many occasions nothing been done about it I am sure that these student landlords are giving the council a back hander.

Once again, I must contact your department due to the banging of doors running up and down stairs shouting singing loud started (11.30 pm to 03.30 am 11th Aug/12th Aug)

This is the start of the university new term, and I am not going through another year like last term as I have informed you, I have serious health problems and not getting sleep is causing my health to get worse and very stressful.

If you as a very bad council are not going to sort this out allowing students to get away with anything and cause hell on neighbours etc I will sort this matter out myself with legal action and going to the newspapers etc.

Thank you
Alan Donald.

Been on weighting list for a “garden waste” bin for two years. Considering I pay for the pleasure of having a bin on top of the £200 plus a month council ” tax you would think they would be a bit keener to get me one. All my neighbours have one so it also makes sense in efficiency terms. No point complaining to the council as the complaint website is set up to crash your complaint.

BRIGHTON & HOVE HAVE MORE TRAFFIC CAMERAS THAN SEAGULLS

Brighton has more traffic cameras to rob motorists than they have seagulls, the road system is so confusing with far to many road signs it is hard to concentrate on turning where you should not they even have bus lanes that they sometimes call bus gates, as a professional lorry drive for 40 years it must be nightmare for a motorists driving for pleasure.
The Brighton & Hove council along with it seagulls are just daylight robbers of your money and fish & chips, DON'T GO NEAR THE PLACE

Disgusting people

Disgusting people , they dont even have the decency to man their council tax phones, handing me a summons letter after sending me a bill of £22, now they want to charge me £342.56 for two unaccounted months of tax and the summons, just horrific people and would never recommend living in Brighton or Hove to anyone.

Woodingdean councillors

I asked for help got none. One Councillors email never works, the other made promises but he did nothing and then didn't even reply to my emails. It is about something very important and about planning. Seems that the planning department allows anything and nobody gives a hoot about it effects others.

Absolutely diabolical customer…

Absolutely diabolical customer experience. Three attempts at holding for almost an hour until I finally got through after an hour and a half. No way to get any support online. Ridiculously complicated account system. Very quick to take my money but not quick to help sort out my permit. Absolutely dreadful service.

Chancers who are pretending to be green

An example to sum up brighton council:
They just sent us a court summons with demands to pay our entire council tax for year because we were 1 month late paying them £6. SIX.
Luckily the woman we spoke to was on her first day back in a year so was up for a bit of kindness but why put people through the stress? I mean really.

As for being GREEN. HAHAHAA! What an absolute joke. You can't even recycle yoghurt pots and milk cartons. There are bins overflowing all over the place, the whole city is a building site at all times (for the last 6 years at least) and hey guess what, because its a student town with thousands more student accomodations being built there will be thousands more people in the city who dont pay any council tax, feeding into the fact that unless you are a tourist exploring the heart of the town you arent even going to cross the minds of the council (unless they want their six quid lol). A dirty polluted city that spends millions on parades and sparkly lights but forgets the people who actually live here.

Can you tell me the last time a council house was built? Six years of being a resident before you can even get on the list!

How on earth this "Green" council got…

How on earth this "Green" council got in I do not know, their behaviour is the opposite so surely the people funding their schemes ought to be due a refund at the very least!!! They don't provide the basic services they charge for out of the council "tax", about time we got some private company to take over I think, even if they took a profit they might actually be accountable for their actions and provide some sort of customer service, rather than the derision we get whenever we ask to be consulted about things we care about but perhaps do not fit their agenda. P.S. I do know they were not elected to power, total sham!!!

A much looked forward to visit, turned out disappointing!…

I've just spent the best part of the week with family & friends, staying in Brighton Town Centre on holiday, and was surprised how untidy and dirty the Town has become.
There seemed to be very little, if any, street cleaning taking place with litter & debris everywhere.
I lost count of the number of abandoned & part dismantled bikes, street sleepers bedding, and general litter & garbage strewn around the streets and alleys. I even witnessed rats running around the streets in broad daylight.
It's certainly not the clean & resplendent City I remember from previous visits and stays there.
All in all someone from the City Council needs to get their finger out and address this disgusting deterioration of a once splendid holiday resort, they are taking visitors for granted.

This councill is the worst!!!

This councill is awfull twice daily i travel to and from my job as an essential care worker, i sit in a now single carriageway looking at what was a dual carriageway but has been given to non existent cyclists!! whilst we sit in gridlocked traffic chugging out fumes. These cycle lanes are adourned by PLASTIC bollards and it restricts emergency services from getting out of the now bunged up one lane of traffic jams....

Brighton council have been responsible…

Brighton council have been responsible for some truly terrible decisions in the last couple of years:
1. Paying a private company to ‘organise’ SEN school transport which resulted in months of service breakdown for vulnerable families.
2. The recent installation of bike lanes and double bike lanes, temporary, permanent, coloured etc, causing huge polluting congestion and killing the towns economy. The bike lanes on Old Shoreham road are usually COMPLETELY empty! The double bike lanes on the seafront are stopping emergency vehicles! Also it took advocates from BADGE group to force the council to reinstate disabled parking - NO CONSULTATION and this was lied about.
DISGRACEFUL!
