Definitely do not recommend this company

I left a 2-star review in July 2025, and I just saw that I received a notification from Trustpilot in Feb 2026 that the company flagged my review for "containing defamatory content". For a simple review! Is this their way of actively trying to get bad reviews taken down? Trustpilot reviewed and found nothing defamatory. If this is the way they treat their customers, I would not recommend this company to anyone. The brushes are not good anyways -- my daughter stopped using them after a few weeks -- complete waste of money.

When you first contacted us, our team responded and followed up by email to help you and explained. Unfortunately, we did not receive a reply at that time.

I wish I had read these delivery…

I wish I had read these delivery reviews before ordering.

The first time I ordered through the original Bounce Curl brush through a German Company. I was so happy with the brush that I wanted to order another two brushes for other members of my family. Since the "Bounce Curl" website was offering to contribute to cancer, I even ordered the pink brushes to support this fund.

BUT...

There is no cheap option for delivery to Europe. Delivery costs almost as much as the brush! I STILL decided to order...

BUT...
The date of delivery was changed twice. I then got notification that I needed to be HOME to SIGN for the package! I waivered that on the DHL website...

BUT...
The package still could not be delivered because now I have to BE HOME to PAY as much as delivery AGAIN for IMPORT DUTY!

This makes a total of just over €100 for 2 hair brushes! THAT is TOO much!

According to DHL, if I am not home to pay the DUTY, the product will be sent back to the USA. According to Bounce Curl's AI "Customer Service" -I will have to ASK to return it and PAY the cost of RETURNING the package as well. ALSO NONE of the SHIPPING costs will be refunded.

I really wanted to support the company that invented such a good brush, but it seems they do not want to sell it outside the USA.

Great Product? Don’t know, it never shipped!

The product sounds great on the website. Lots of great reviews and backed by nationally recognized brands. Unfortunately, I ordered the product on June 6 and it never shipped. Demanding a full refund.

Paid high shipping fees to my country and got ripped off

Paid high shipping fees to my country and the item was sent and I was following the tracking and could see it never got out of the USA. The next thing I know, I have been refunded the item but NOT the £18 shipping. Absolutely robbery! It says in the T&Cs that they do not refund the postage on returns the customer chooses, or if there is an error on the customer's side, such as they were too late to go collect a parcel held, or they had given an injured credit address. Nothing is my fault, my address was correct, and I didnt want a refund - I wanted the item I purchased. In this situation the mistake is with the company and their countries postal issues. This is NOT something the customer should be financially penalised for and the customer service around this is disgusting to expect the consumer to stomach the loss of a large chunk of money for things out of their control and with nothing to show for what they spent. No apologies, no explanation and disingenuous T&Cs. If the T&C had mentioned it was a risk fir internationally shipping and if the parcel doesnt get out of the US at all, then sorry you would lose the £18 postage, then I NEVER would have made a gamble and bought anything from you.

Disgusted by it.

Update on customer service

Customer service contacted me to say they will refund the shipping I originally paid (€24.32 from USA to Ireland) and the €20.19 import duties I had to pay by DHL, which I appreciate very much. The €23.50 return postage from Ireland will not be paid however.

I bought a brush on july 14 and it was shipped on the 23rd. Since then the tracking that they offer us showing conflicting information between a1 and dhl, with one saying that the delivery was no possible and the other saying that the item is still in transit in Switzerland. (!) (
I reached out first on august 10, and shipping support stated that international shipping took over 30 business days. So I waited until sept the 7th to reach out again, asking for a refund (given that the item was insured), and I got the same canned answer.

Their customer support is non existent and they just take your money and refuse honor their refund policies.

After I posted the review here their customer support reached out to me stating that the package had been returned to the US and that I should get the refund once they received it.
Well, after 3 and a half months I haven't received any refund. Customer support claims they haven't received the package. Since the package was never delivered to me I don't have a way to track it. So if you want to get ripped off... feel free to spend your money here.

Astronomical shipping costs

£16 delivery to UK plus you have to pay an extra £1 to insure the postage? For £16 you would absolutely expect the shipping to be insured but Bounce Curl say if you don’t pay the extra £1 it’s not insured if it goes missing or gets damaged. So this then makes the £22 brush £39!!! Wild!

I haven’t get more chance to explore…

I haven’t get chance to explore their all products because I only ordered travel size packages so can’t say much because I use other brands products in between so can’t make judgment but I like the jell, clarifying shampoo and turmeric mask.I just started the hair grow pills so
Let’s see but overall all it’s good clean products definitely going to try in future as soon I finished with products.
