that advert makes me think of Rocky and his " smeel mainly" advert. as if any premiership player needs anything like this austrian platform when they get paid more per week than most earn in a lifetime!! so annoying!

I invested in Bitpanda’s BCI10 several years ago with the expectation of gaining diversified exposure to the crypto market through automatic monthly rebalancing.

After holding the product for multiple years, my overall result is a loss of approximately 50% of my initial investment.

While the concept of a diversified crypto index sounds attractive in theory, in practice it simply tracks the broader crypto market. The automatic rebalancing does not protect against major downturns, and investors should be aware that this product carries the full volatility and downside risk of the crypto sector.

In my case, long-term holding did not mitigate losses. Prospective investors should carefully assess their risk tolerance and understand that this is not an actively managed strategy designed to outperform the market — it mirrors it.

So.. idk where to start..
Deposited euro.
Bought crypto.
Crypto transfer was blocked.
Exchanged to fiat eur back, lost 100 euro.
Tried to withdraw to own bank account.
Error: name mismatch.
I send proof its my account.
Support says "name mismatch".
Contact support again to tell them they have a faulty system cause name of cards cant be more than 20 chars.
Support tells me to use workaround with "Send" feature.
Try to push "Send".
"Sending Fiat will be possible again later".
Contact support again - different one cause last closed after advice (they have too many issues today so neglect all)
New support guy: with a chill attitude, close to saying: "Sorry, thats life".

Afterwards. "Transaction corrected", and they extracted all the money from my account. I have nothing inside now and also nothing in my bank accounts.

The USDC withdrawal to my own wallet was blocked without any prior notice. As a result, I suffered an immediate loss of approximately €600 due to a forced EUR → USDC → EUR conversion, since the USDC could not be used for anything on their platform.

I did not engage in any illegal or suspicious activity, yet no meaningful justification was provided for the restriction.

Customer support was unreachable for 5 hours, and then I only received a generic email stating that crypto withdrawals were permanently disabled for me due to “security and regulatory reasons.”

Update after Bitpanda’s public response:
I understand that you cannot discuss account-specific details publicly, and it is of course appropriate that personal account information is not shared online. However, this does not address the core issue raised in my review: a crypto withdrawal restriction was applied without prior notice and resulted in direct financial loss.

I have been using multiple regulated EU-based financial and crypto platforms for years, and I have never experienced a restriction of this nature before, especially not without advance warning or a clear explanation.

Referring to general “security and regulatory reasons” does not change the fact that the measure was unforeseeable from a user perspective and had concrete financial consequences.

Being a regulated company does not automatically mean that every action taken is reasonable or proportionate from a customer’s perspective. If internal rules allow permanent restrictions without prior notice or a clear, user-facing explanation, then those rules themselves raise legitimate concerns.

I have been informed that this restriction is permanent, yet no concrete basis for such a measure has been communicated. Repeating general references to “security and regulatory reasons” does not meaningfully explain why this specific restriction was applied or why it must remain in place.

From a customer standpoint, the lack of transparency and the absence of a clear rationale are the core issues.

Fast, easy and super convenient

They have deactivated my account and stolen the contents of my portfolio. I followed the instructions they gave me to keep my account and yet this is the result. I have informed them that the police are involved with this case

Bippanda is simple, easy, with lot of crypto ETF and actions and metals. BUT this plate-forme is very bad to manage the leveraged positions. The calculation is un repliable, erratic. And its impossible to close à position. It always romain centims and this spoil the calculateur then you cant open à new leveraged position, the calculation of the liquidation price is totally messed up! Conclusion i could make 5 stars if the leveraged management wasnt so bad..
